Bill Armstrong invented it…

Bill Armstrong invented it but you're right that Legg popularized it:

Another reason to hate the

Another reason to hate the Ducks

Spencer's "serious" posts are always phenomenal

This is no exception

No, I don't want any

No, I don't want any expansion. And if we were to expand, not them. Then again, why would we want to play Wisconsin more than once every six years if it means we get to make road trips to Maryland?? /s

Here's another idea:

Michigan and Alabama both wear home jerseys.  Blue vs. Crimson would look spectacular out on the field.

Love seeing a commitment from

Love seeing a commitment from a guy with OSU, MSU and ND offers.

Keep in mind that Kansas has been staggeringly bad under Gill.

From Dr. Saturday:

"For the second year in a row, the Jayhawks rank last or next-to-last in the Big 12 in rushing offense, rushing defense, passing offense, passing defense, pass efficiency defense, total offense, scoring offense, scoring defense, third down offense, third down defense, sacks and sacks allowed."

Which isn't to say I necessarily agree with the firing, just something to consider.

Former head of NFL

Former head of NFL officiating says it shouldn't have been overturned:

Good point

Has anyone seen a photo of that anywhere online by the way? That would be a good one.

"Too long and strong"

gag

This is great.

Way more entertaining than SNF.  Borges called a tremendous game

"Elevators sometimes don’t, you know, bode too well.”

Hilarious quote.  Glad Heiko made a tag for it.

This is amazing

You have done a huge service to the community.

Bowls

Keep in mind that some of the money these schools are making goes to the corrupt bowls like the Fiesta Bowl.  It's insane that people that contribute almost nothing like these bowls do get such a huge slice of the income generated by the athletes.

Bums me out that our official press releases

have errors.  Unless it's actually called University Alabama, that is

I kind of surprised myself

with how excited I got at the mention of senior Denard

I think it's time for an

I think it's time for an 'insomnia' tag

Why would Roy Roundtree give

Why would Roy Roundtree give Rich Rodriguez the #1 jersey?

/sorry

This year

is not like last year.

Wiscy vs Iowa

I'm unsure why so many people think Iowa will be better than Wisconsin.  Wisconsin's offense will be among the best in the country and Iowa (as has been oft-discussed) will likely revert to the mean and has a mediocre offense.  Iowa's D will be better, but I don't think it'll be that much better.

Really like the font

and design on the T-Wolf shirt.  Maybe use it on another shirt? Or some sort of clever get-well-T-Wolf shirt?

I saw that on the other thread

and wondered how in the world it didn't have more votes.  But alas, I neglected to posbang it myself because I was too greedy.

I'm ashamed.

That Colorado whiskey is

That Colorado whiskey is fantastic.  I need to track down a bottle around here.

Conspiracy!

If you could have picked ONE person on the team whose injury would be crippling to Michigan's success, it would Woolfolk.  So he got hurt.  Seems like that's the logical sequence things follow these days.

Ah well, positive thoughts.

How many people

is one person?

That sentence killed me.

Question

How does the son of a former Wolverine grow up an OSU fan?

What exactly is the hard way?

What exactly is the hard way? I hope no one was injured.

The Pac 10 has a pretty ideal conference structure already

but I guess they stand to make more money this way.  Man, this will be interesting if true.  What if only some teams accept?

The offense improved last year.

As long as the defense improves this year, I think we'll be fine.  In this guy's opinion, a qualified coach should at least have 4-5 years at a school to prove themselves; at least give them a year with their own recruits as seniors.

And if we can just get through this year, I firmly believe we'll be excellent in 2011.

I saw that too

Looks like it's a retro uniform or something.  Looks awfully close to Michigan's block M to me though.

I just got the title to this post

That's funny.

The way this season has gone

you wouldn't think it's the Wings' year. But watching them play lately makes me think they're the same old dominant team, so why not this year? The West's top teams have been struggling lately, and the East as a whole is pretty terrible this year.

I think the best news is

that nobody is saying our team looks terrible the way Brian Kelly is describing Notre Dame. I think it would make me feel better to see another program go through a rough transition like ours.

So...

how bout them Red Wings?

I've seen some high scoring games

but usually they're blowouts. Don't know that I've ever seen a team score 7 and lose the game.

I just came here to say the same thing

This offense could be frighteningly good in 2011 if everyone (RR included) sticks around

I just can't see how anyone

could look at these violations and what USC's done and not just shrug them off. I can only hope the penalties are of appropriate magnitudes.

Here's what I think makes this interesting

If you want to make a national title run, it pretty much has to be at least a two-year push. If you have a bad year, next year when your players are older and you're a better team you're still being hurt by the previous year because you have a weaker strength of schedule. People on the national stage will say things like "_____ is undefeated, but they're only a second tier Big Ten team so we'll ignore them."

And that's how "just wait til next year" becomes "wait til two years from now."

Thanks for the wrap up.
We

Thanks for the wrap up.

We should really stop paying Notre Dame though

I'll be there as well, first

I'll be there as well, first time going to an away UM basketball game. Here's hoping the Wolverines play like they're capable of!

It's probably bad that I

It's probably bad that I almost don't want our players to do well in the Olympics so they can play less games and rest up.

When it comes down to it though I'll be cheering for Sweden and other Wing-laden Olympic teams though, I like our players.

I won't be happy with anyone less

than USC.

Edit: kidding

You could even say

He's on fire!

Glad to hear it

Now a sweep would be wonderful.

I'm glad JMFJ stuck up for Red and his school, even having to call out his own GM.

Texas Tech

drops out entirely? They did win their bowl game, coachless even.

This game is absurd!

This game is absurd!

All I want

is for them to stop talking about this Crawford character the whole time.

Michigan losing the turnover

Michigan losing the turnover battle? That's unpossible

Excellent start

but this is starting to trend a little worse. Stupid freshman.

ESPN did something like that this fall

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/story?columnist=forde_pat&id=436…

A pretty interesting idea, although obviously such a radical change would never happen (likely for the best).
