No, EMU, WSU Law and Notre Dame (currently pursing EMBA). I'm from Ann Arbor/Ypsi, and attended Huron before dropping out. Received a full UM football uniform, complete with pads and helmet, at the age of 3 and have been a super fan since.
Most MICHIGAN thing I've ever done? Saved Braylon's hands and Michigan's football season! He was going bezerk at our frat house party when he punched through our glass door. I pulled Bray to the side to remind him how important his hands were to his future. We laugh about it to this day when we cross paths.
Lived by Des Howard as a middle schooler and hung out near his crib to catch a glimse of him ALL THE FREAKIN' TIME...and his girlfriend...

I have a MSU t-shirt that I wear about twice a month. I got cold when taking the bar exam in 2008 at the Breslin Center. All they had, as you might imagine, was MSU gear. The shirt fits great, so I wear it to workout in. But...I've worn it inside out each and every time I've worn it over the last 7 years. I never forget. Go Blue!

Looks like he will play some O per this mlive article: http://www.mlive.com/wolverines/index.ssf/2015/04/jim_harbaugh_loves_jab...
When asked about playing offense: "I can't speak on that yet," Peppers laughs. "We were supposed to have a little surprise for the spring game, but we didn't have it. Whatever the team needs. I'm a team player, and I'll do whatever I've got to do."

You are a little confused with how Twitter works. The reference to his visits to UM were from @Tremendous not Desmond.
|9 weeks 2 days ago||Probably a bit more nuanced||
Probably a bit more nuanced than that. I think you'll find that those kids are often raised in single parent homes. Mom usually works multiple jobs just to make ends meet. There's a strong likelihood that mom came from similar circumstances. End result? Some slightly older sibling watching after their younger sibling(s) and nan one adult around to encourage education or enforce a structure that supports education. Crazy cycle.

I believe the NCAA operates on a sliding scale. The higher the GPA, the lower the SAT score can be and vice versa.
|11 weeks 1 day ago||Thanks @MVP. I'm really||
Thanks @MVP. I'm really digging into the ROI on each of the programs. I'm in an interesting siutiation where I have a full ride for a Top 20 program strong in finance. I'll really need to decide (and quickly) whether name brand is worth spending $120K or more than a free degree.
Really appreciate your insight on the value of CFA vs. MBA. Thank you!
|11 weeks 2 days ago||Really depends on how you||
Really depends on how you define easier. Admission rates vary. Some do not require the GMAT, others do. If easier means GMAT scores can be supplanted by leadership and professional experience, sure an EMBA can be easier. It takes 5-15 years to establish a professional career and a year or less to study for the GMAT. It's a trade off. The leadership/experience requirement may suppress the number of applicants that apply. I just don't know.
The programs are definitely money makers. But most programs cover lodging and food as well as travel if there is an international component. Still, most graduates report major salary increases so the ROI is there despite the price tag.
Totally agree on the faciliteis issue. I'll probably get more use out of facilities than most because I plan to fully emerse myself in the university's greater community.

In entrepreneurship now, CEO of a high tech startup. Also assembling a rapid development team in the next 12 months. I'm decently connected in Michigan based on my legal career. Post graduation plans will depend on how things look on the entrepreneurial front going into the last year of the program. Having my first child so that could shift things a little.
What's your take on how to approach using my EMBA to move into a large company? I previously served as an officer of a large FI in a compliance/legal role but not on the business side, although I worked closely with the business folks.
I'm approaching my EMBA the same way I did my JD. I respect the value each provide in different settings.

Thanks @Karumba... no really, thank you. Great insight from the inside. You've definitely given me a few things to think about, especially as it relates to Ross. Great info for developing more questions too.
Did you feel a part of the entire Ross community or just the Ross EMBA community? Were there opportunities to interact with MBA students? Do you find that the "E" adds to the value of your MBA or takes away from it in the eyes of potential employers? Are there any perception issues with getting an EMBA that I should be aware of?

Thanks a lot @dupont. End game is starting and managing a venture capital fund. I considered the CFA route but figured I would be better served strengthening my strategic skills as well.

Appreciate it @JackHammer. Certainly could but there's something to be said about exchanging ideas with talented folks with different perspectives.

Certainly looking for knowledge, mainly in finance. I'm pretty confident in my soft skills. I may never re-enter the work force so I'm not at all focused on titles and pay. I've had my share of titles and pay very little attention them. Just not who I am.

Excellent feedback @Maizenbluenc. I'm interested in how you present your EMBA on your resume. Do you list it as an EMBA or MBA? Why do you take whatever approach you take?

Any ideas on how you would overcome those obstacles as an EMBA candidate?
|11 weeks 2 days ago||Totally agree @Woomba. I'm||
Totally agree @Woomba.
I'm targetting an EMBA mainly for reason (C). I'm a lawyer by trade (VC, M&A and PE) but working on a high-tech company and running a business consulting firm. I've been planning my transition into entrepreneurship and venture capital (investor side) since I started law school 10 years ago.
I've targetted schools that are within a short drive or flight from home. Since I can work remotely, I will take advantage of traditional MBA events.
I'll be leveraging my existing network so that will be less of an immediate issue, but I am looking to leverage a school's global network if I decide to ever re-enter the workforce.

Thanks, MaizeRage, appreciate you signing on to respond.
All very good points. I certainly value points (2) and (3) as well. Wouldn't be where I am today with those two things and a bit of number 1 as well.
|11 weeks 2 days ago||Great point. I definitely||
Great point. I definitely understand the differences between programs.
I agree with your assessment in general, but some EMBA programs have moved from purely training programs for internal leaders to much more. Some programs now focus on venture capital and entrepreneurship, while others position themselves as programs for profesisonals loooking to change careers. To that end, some EMBA programs provide career service support for those in the EMBA progam.
Appreciate your thoughts, woomba.

Shat. Depends on if done right. It could be either. Or worse.
But really, I find feedback from students and alums to be more valuable than admins and marketing material. It's great to hear whether a program's perceived value is in fact transferred and realized.
|11 weeks 2 days ago||Looks like I'll get a pretty||
Looks like I'll get a pretty generous aid package from a few schools so I will not eat the total cost of the program. That will definitely play into my decision.
