I freaked out, stopped eating and drinking and developed a kidney stone. I gave birth to a stone a week after my son was born. My wife's delivery was more painful, but not by much.

And then questioned who was being dishonest. There is nothing factually wrong about my response. And if the choice is Beilein or Boeheim, I'll take Beilein.

You want to challenege my points, fine, but stop with the name calling, douchebag
It's not trolling when it's accurate, asshole.
Let's be smarter about this please.
So please, be smarter people.
Says the confused simpleton who can't decide if he's a UNC or Michigan fan. Seek help.
This really is the fringe lunatic 1% of the fanbase because I've never seen so many people eat their own like Michigan fans.
Actually that's not my point but I'm not surprised a simpleton like yourself reached that conclusion.
You're a flat earther aren't you.
I was at a funeral this past weekend you fucking asshole.
Not everyone's life revolves around this blog like yours does. (my personal favorite)
John Beilein doesn't know what defense is.

Why isn't Ohio State, #12 on this list of historically super awesome teams, recruiting all 5 stars? Forget about #FireBeilein, if anybody is on the hot seat it's Matta.
Once you get past Kansas at #5 (857 points) there's not much separation between schools. The difference between Kansas and Michigan (857-423=434 points) is more points than Michigan has. To take this list and say Michigan should be recruiting with the elites is not being honest with the facts. We're closer in points to Oklahoma State at #34 than we are to Syracuse at #9.

We recently learned that DeVeon runs a 4.75 40 and Brian keeps mentioning that Evans could not break tackles. Yet, somehow the team averaged 4.8 yards per carry behind a "mediocre" offensive line. Something does not compute.

I, too, am fascinated by blog economics. Andrew Sullivan's blog went to a subscription model. He would post updates on subscriber numbers and total dollars raised. I believe he got up to around $1M in annual revenue. This was enough to run the servers, have a staff of a few bloggers and pay them health care. Just as he was getting into the recurring phase of the business (annual subscriptions were being renewed,) he burned out and shut the blog down. It's good that Brian has Seth to take some of the business-burdens off of him so he can focus on the writing and vision stuff.
The ad-based model works if the topic is broad enough to engage a large user-base. Michigan athletics fits that. Michigan basketball likely doesn't.
With ads, donations, t-shirt sales, and HTTV-type items, there appears to be enough revenue sources to keep this blog going. At least I hope so. The real challenge is maintaining creativity from the writing staff when daily content is demanded by the rampaging hordes of MGoUsers.
P.S. However, the whole model breaks down when folks start turning in their MGoPoints for those shiny bolivars.

He averaged 24 mpg this season. With another year of experience, he should be able to reduce his fouls and play 28-30 mpg.

does this mean they get a new ballpark? Or will they at least do something with the coliseum to make it more baseball friendly?

I wonder how he was able to average nearly 5 ypc at that speed behind a mediocre line.

The only thing missing from that is Ufer tooting Patton's horn. That would make it perfect.

I think you have them confused with Radiohead.

That's pretty good, but I prefer Denard Bergkamp.
|5 days 21 hours ago||"great" might have been stretching it a bit||
but the point remains, they only committed 5 turnovers. That, combined with the rebounding edge they had gave them 8 extra possessions. Being able to outrebound a team when you are missing your starting center is impressive (or you can be a Debbie Downer and blame DJ and Moe for not being better rebounders.) It's hard to beat a good team when they are getting 8 extra possessions. Oddly, both teams attempted 58 shots. The difference was the FT line, where they had 9 more attempts. Considering how poorly they shot FTs and the fact that DJ and Moe ended up with 2 each, maybe we should have challenged them more at the rim and made them make their points at the line.
I'm not blaming the refs. The block/charge call is a judgment call and it's basically a 50/50 play. The way the refs called the game, it gave an advantage to Oregon. They were the more physical team driving the ball to the basket. I thought they were out of control a few times and should have been called for charges, which would have increased the number of turnovers they committed.
|5 days 22 hours ago||1,000 Points, 400 Assists, 500 Rebounds Club||
Why is that a club? It seems arbitrarily created to highlight Walton's career. I can see having a 1000/500/500 club, or a 1000/400/400 club, maybe.
It basically shortchanges Gary Grant's career because he just barely missed the 500 rebounds, but he crushed the other two criteria. Grant's line: 2222 / 731 / 455.
Walton's 1471 / 498 / 563 is nice, but I'll take Grant's 2000 / 700 / 400 club anytime.
|5 days 22 hours ago||Rice||
Rice is in the 100 3-point club, but he's well behind Walton. Rice had 135 three pointers. The line didn't exist for Rice's freshman season, but that hardly mattered. He averaged 0.1 3PG as a soph, 1.0 as a Jr and 2.7 as a senior.
|5 days 23 hours ago||Turnovers||
We ended up only turning the ball over 8 times. That's a little better than our average. The problem was, Oregon only turned the ball over 5 times, 6.5 below their average. Is that because our defense wasn't overly aggressive, or was it because Oregon came in completely focussed and played a great game? Gotta give credit to Oregon on this one.
There was a whole thread last night about the auto-bench. Moe and DJ each only had 2 PFs. Each only played <28 minutes. This was like the reverse Purdue game. Beilein forced Painter to go small. Somehow, Oregon forced Beilein to go small.

In fact, I like this silent Dantonio better. I'd prefer it if I never had to listen to him again.

Two months ago this team was hard to watch. The last two weeks have been must see TV. I hope DJ and Moe come back. I hope MAAR and X step up to replace Walton's leadership.
