|2 hours 42 min ago||My list||
I took most of my road trips when the B1G 10 still had, you know, ten teams. I never got to Evanston for a game, but saw the rest. From best to worst, I'd rank them thusly:
1. Madison, made that trip four times. Their band is great and the students really get into the games. The city is really nice to walk around.
2. Indiana. That was always a guaranteed win. Sort of a low-stress, relaxing weekend trip. You get to chill out and watch Michigan win a football game. What's not to like?
3. Iowa. Flew there in a four-seater, and took a photo with their mascot. Cool dude.
(would slot Notre Dame in here.)
4. Minnesota. I went when they were playing outside, a couple stadiums ago. I had my first Whopper on a trip to Minnesota. It's really cold there, though, and the drive takes forever.
5. Purdue. Just really dirty, what with all that train smoke and proximity to Gary, Indiana.
6. Illinois. The whole place smells like shit, and you have to deal with them thinking we're rivals.
7. MSU. I grew up in East Lansing, so reading the MGoBloggers bash my former hometown was tough to take, but they are right.
8. Ohio State. I'll admit, that's a scary trip. You are basically on edge the whole time wondering which psychopath is going to notice your Michigan items and go full metal jacket on you.

is proof that the movie, Idiocracy, is a documentary.

I guarantee that neither Bieifeldt nor Biefeldt starts. Bielfeldt is a maybe.

just putting "/s" at the end of a stupid comment shouldn't excuse it. It wasn't sarcastic, it was just stupid. Yeah, there are idiots out there that make ridiculous comments, but we don't need to be reminded of that with a "/s" comment.

Forget RDT, mGrowOld is actually Bilbo Baggins!

but if it's got to be a college coach, I'd go with anyone who runs the wishbone.

First, find a cowbell. Second, get a drumstick. Third, bang that cowbell for 10 hours a day.
Fourth, profit, I guess?

is a walk-on. I'm not sure how much recruiting was done there. If a player with ability wants to play for your program and pay his way to do so, I think you give him a chance. If he messes up once, you punish him accordingly and watch him closely after that.

West Wacker or Big Beaver?

I don't own any pets, but I did have numerous conversations the day after July 4th about how irritated people's pets get by fireworks. That's right, Dave Brandon hates dogs.

To be fair, he was completely covered in stick-um. I don't think he had a choice but to catch the ball. Same goes for my favorite Raider of all time, Lester Hayes.

from different eras is a fool's errand.

I just finished reading Bo's Lasting Lessons. He wrote:
I have no idea what Brad Bates is up to these days, but that's a pretty good endorsement right there.
EDIT: quick google search shows he's the AD at BC.

I'll be happy if our roster has more umlauts on it in '18

I agree, my comparison breaks down almost immediately, but in terms of pure shock factor, the Biakabutuka game is the pinnacle for me.

As far as shocking results go, this ranks right up there with the Biakabutuka game.

I'm 1/4 German? Seems like the right time to mention that.

I'm three blocks away. We're practically neighbors. It's an MGoMiracle.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||In N Out||
I like their burgers and fries, but the name is a misnomer. It's more like, In N wait for half an hour N Out. They opened another one a couple miles from the one nearest my house and I thought that would reduce the traffic a little, but it didn't help at all. I usually end up parking and going inside because the drive through line has dozens of cars in it. My local Carl's Jr. is being renovated (complete tear-down) and I'm starting to go through withdrawal pains.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||France||
I was in France last week. I was expecting the town I was in to go crazy the night France played in the World Cup. Instead, the game ended 0-0 and everyone was sort of, meh. The following night, Algeria made it into the next round. The streets were full of fans celebrating and honking horns. This went on until around 1am local time, which was rough on me since I had to wake up at 5am and catch a train back to Paris. It seems there are quite a few Algerians living in France.

Wasn't Edward Norton's character named, Jack, as in, I am Jack's raging bile duct. I caught that on the 20th viewing of the movie. There's a whole internet debate on whether that means his name is Jack, or it's just some expression. Speaking of movie quotes, I love circuits and I love lamp.

I can't help but wonder what mGrowOld thinks of the graphic.
|4 weeks 6 days ago||Green unis||
against a green background doesn't appeal to me. Boise isn't allowed to wear all-blue on their blue turf in conference games, I think. State shouldn't be allowed to wear all-green. That's just too much green.
