|4 hours 10 min ago||I know||
but I made an exception because Heiko is my hero
|4 hours 12 min ago||I also predicted 10-2 in the The_Knowledge's thread||
and 7-1 in the conference, and finishing 5th overall, just missing the CFP. I'd be very happy with that as an end result.
I predicted Penn State would beat Michigan. I hope my crystal ball was cloudy and I missed the ''State" following Michigan.

P.S. Another great item of AXS content - Dirk Nowitzki biographies

in MGoPoints with this prediction, so it has to come true.

That they get so much obscure stuff right but have the wrong team wearing home unis
|1 day 15 hours ago||I'll give them a little credit||
it was amazing how they invented a time machine to get that announcer from the 1950's
|1 day 15 hours ago||Dan Rather||
I forgot, AXS also has a lot of Dan Rather. Apparently, that's where old anchors go to retire.

I think that would be a legitimate tax write-off as a business expense.
|2 days 11 hours ago||now you're making me feel old||
I introduced my 11 year old to their song Paschendale. He's trying to get his band to learn how to play it. It's so long, he wants to get credit for playing two songs.

A lady at work makes this:
12 large egg yolks
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups heavy cream
3 cups whole milk
4 cups bourbon
½ cup rum
¾ cup cognac
1 pinch of salt
She says the pinch of salt is to ward off the devil. It's basically pure booze and eggs. And sugar and heavy cream and whole milk.

Except for Fox Sports.
|2 days 12 hours ago||AXS||
I know where AXS is, but that should be obvious based on my love of watching Iron Maiden tribute bands perform concerts in miniscule venues like your neighborhood watering hole.
I'm convinced there is now a television channel that caters to every single hobby, activity, or interest that the American public has. And some they don't.

Zettel gets tossed for targetting Cook (or whoever is at QB for STAEE) after hitting him below the waist with his forearm.

They look like practice jerseys to me, but compared to what Adidas has put us in lately, I'd say that's a big improvement.

I would have been livid. I don't care as much about this Ruddock character. And don't get me started about Rudddock.

Or maybe they agree. I can't remember, it's been too long since I've seen that show. But Milwaukee is the home of Lenny and Squiggy, so it can't be too bad.
|3 days 14 hours ago||your subtext||
I got it. If a program has boosters who don't care about $15M buyouts, you wonder what else they don't care about. That's a lot of cash floating around.

You've got to follow that up with, "just ask them"

It was raining pretty hard.
RE: what are thoooose? Brian, you sounded just like my 11 year old son and his baseball team, so mission accomplished.
|4 days 13 hours ago||45 plays||
The thing that's getting overlooked regarding the MSU-OSU game is that Ohio State ran only 45 offensive plays. His 12 carries over 45 plays equates to 16 over 60 or 20 over 75. I don't think it's abnormal for Elliott to get slightly more than 25% of the plays called for him. It's just that OSU's offense could not stay on the field. Maybe they should have tried some pace or something to get more plays in (it's usually said the better team has the advantage when more plays are run.)
Sports Illustrated had a story on Elliott recently. They mentioned that Iowa, YES IOWA!, tried negative recruiting against OSU by saying Urban's never had a 1000 yard back, etc. etc. Sure, go to Iowa instead and have your knees shattered and every connective tissue in your body blown apart.
Elliott has been reciting that, "Heisman's are won in November" line over and over, so for him to come up short in 1 of his 2 big November games is crushing to him. That he only got to carry the ball 12 times further upsets him. Tough luck, kid.
The other thing to mention is the weather. They only tried 1 deep ball all game that I saw and just missed it. But with the way the rain was coming down, does Urban just want to give up downs to MSU by heaving the ball into that rainstorm? I'm not defending Urban, I'm just pointing out that MSU got incredibly lucky that the conditions were what they were. Rain taking away a downfield passing attack doesn't hurt MSU who didn't have a downfield passing attack without Cook. What's surprising is that OSU's defense didn't really tighten up against the run, or maybe they're just not that good against a power rushing attack. I saw Bosa, who is a legitimate top-10/top-5 NFL draft pick get dragged down the field for 2-3 yards at a time. He's incredibly quick to the QB, but the MSU running backs were not going down easily against him.
|4 days 14 hours ago||That play||
In my senior year of high school, my team made it to the State Semifinals. We had a dominating defense - Carruthers went to FSU, we had a Brandstatter on the team, several guys go on to college football, and no one could score on us. So we blocked not one, but two punts, only to see both of them recovered by the opposition who advanced the ball for first downs. We ended up losing 6-3.
I think the Michigan punt crossed the line and bounced back, but it wasn't clear from the angle they showed.
