|2 days 20 hours ago||Say Yes to Michigan||
My dad worked on that campaign many years ago. As a result, I know that Michigan produces some of the best soy-based products in the world. Michigan also has cherries and wines from the Paw Paw region.
My serious response would be, the four seasons. I miss winter, spring and fall, I just don't miss the length of the Michigan winter. Don't try to convince your wife when it's 80 in AZ and 10 in Michigan. Wait until August when it's 130 in AZ. But it's a dry heat, I know, I know...

|4 days 23 hours ago||Utah?||
I think it was the Utah game. I remember us playing a team with a secondary that was composed of mostly 5'10" guys, and they knew they weren't going to be able to compete with Funchess for the ball, so they focused on his ribs. As soon as he touched the ball, he was getting hammered by their DBs.
|4 days 23 hours ago||That's just crazy talk.||
But I bet they said the same thing to the first guy who said put numbers on the jerseys, or wings and stripes on helmets.
Both O's and 0's wouldn't be allowed due to confusion, just like with license plates. I'd scrap Z's since they look like 2's, but #ZZ would be awesome.

Hexadecimal numbers solves that problem. Just saying.

and he's been at SDSU for a long time with no hint of any further impropriety to my knowledge. He messed up at UofM, but he appears to have learned his lesson unlike Calipari.

I'd go with another defense contractor, rhymes with, "Schmoeing."

My brother's fantasy baseball team name a few years ago was "Brookens Institute." Still one of my favorites (player and team name, just to be clear.)
|1 week 1 day ago||His premise||
as far as I can tell, is that the NCAA did something good in 2013, but then stopped doing that this season. So, if that's the case, did they kill it by not doing anything from 2002 to 2012? And then they accidentally unkilled it and then killed it again? Seems like he's just complaining about the NCAA, which I'm totally fine with, but like others have pointed out, a 2 point drop in scoring over 40 minutes doesn't seem like something we should be getting upset about.
Maybe it was a focus on analytics that killed scoring and not the NCAA. Maybe coaches realized that a faster pace leads to more turnovers and worse offensive efficiency. Or that transition defense was more valuable than going after second chance points.
|1 week 2 days ago||Absolutely horribly written article||
The title is, "The Clampdown: How the NCAA Accidentally Killed Scoring in Men’s College Basketball." So I thought I'd be reading an article about how the NCAA killed scoring. I certainly didn't see a hypothesis in the first few paragraphs, and after that, the writing was so poor I started skimming, so maybe I missed it in all that blather. Maybe I was pre-conditioned by Brian's post to be skeptical of claims that scoring has been killed, but man, I just didn't see any explanation of how the NCAA killed scoring.

I checked the TV schedule and found the Tru TV channel, but I have no interest in any of the games today. I'm not sure I care about any tomorrow, either. Yeah, I could tune in to root for State and Staee to lose, but I've got better things to do. I didn't even fill out a bracket, but I stopped doing that years ago, for the same reason I don't play the lottery.
|1 week 3 days ago||worst sports injury||
I lost three teeth playing badminton in 7th grade gym class. I'm not sure that qualifies as a sport. My most recent sports injury involves taking a softball to the shin for the third time in three weeks. I'm going to have to invest in some shin guards. As if that wasn't bad enough, I was playing CF later in the game and crashed into the SS going for a pop-up. His cleat gashed my already damaged shin.
My wife has torn two calf muscles playing badminton and broke a bone in her foot playing beach volleyball.

|1 week 3 days ago||starting point||
I think if you start further back, it makes the kicking game more important. I'd rather let the players decide the matter. You either get the TD or settle for the makeable FG. If both teams get stopped from the 30 or 35, whoever has the better kicker wins. I'd rather the better team wins and that's more likely to be determined under the existing college rules.

They should just adopt the college game's OT rules.

|1 week 5 days ago||shooting||
Morris was 18% from three his freshman year. MAAR was 29%. MAAR also seems to have better elevation than Morris did. I think he could benefit from watching both Morris and Burke.
|1 week 5 days ago||Spike||
I'd go with Garde Thompson or Dan Pelekoudas. Garde hit 9 threes in a game, and Pelekoudas was also a long range gunner. I think Walton reclaims the PG spot, so Spike will need to contribute with his long distance shooting, and provide 5-10 minutes backing up Walton at PG. If Spike can be at 40+% for 3's, Beilein will figure out how to give him 25-30 minutes.
I'd also have the whole team watch Kentucky to see how they share minutes. With the depth we'll have next season, there should be no excuse for taking a play or two off to rest while on the court. Go 100%, especially on defense, and when you get tired, bring in the next guy.
|1 week 5 days ago||Eliminating timeouts and stoppages of play||
so, make it more like soccer? Got it.
I was not a soccer fan growing up, but I've learned to appreciate the fact that you can sit down and watch a half for 45 minutes, take a little break, and watch another 45 minutes of continuous, commercial-free, timeout-free, action. They seem to have figured out how to do it. CBB could learn a few lessons from soccer.

|2 weeks 2 days ago||Donnal||
I just read an article about Wiltjer from Gonzaga. He scored 5 ppg his freshman year at Kentucky and 10 in his soph year. Then he transferred to Gonzaga. He's at 17 ppg and is an All-American candidate. Bigs take time. Don't give up on Donnal yet.
