|5 hours 4 min ago||We actually do have a line||
We gained 5.0 ypc, 2nd in the Big 10 to OSU and we didn't even employ a running QB which we all know provides a decided schematic advantage (one more player the defense has to account for.) We also had multiple all-big 10 performers on the offensive line. We also gained ~800 more yards rushing this season through 12 games than last season. So this trope that the line must be the problem is factually incorrect.
|20 hours 24 min ago||Refs hands||
You can't take it out of the refs hands when your opponents are allowed to interfere with your receivers with impunity. Have you ever tried to catch a football with a guy draped on your back, holding one of your arms, while swatting at the ball? Or tackled like Darboh was?
|20 hours 36 min ago||USC||
They beat Notre Dame by 18. The poster I was replying to said USC could beat PSU by 39. Cumong man, PSU is not that bad. Unlike ND, they actually win games.
|20 hours 42 min ago||Jump balls||
Maybe it's because he has wide receivers who know how to high point a ball and make a play for him, unlike another team we are all fond of.
|22 hours 9 min ago||Or||
Or they beat Green Bay.
|22 hours 17 min ago||PSU||
Have you watched them play recently? They look much improved to me.

if you are going to copy that much of someone else's work, you really should mention them, lest your homie fanboys on this site think you had an original thought. Or if you are trying to make a point, at least change some of the words to fit this situation.

Yes, they have a better record. But they have four single digit victories, 2 in OT, 1 that could have gone to OT and a four point victory over Northwestern. Their stats are great, but a lot of that is the result of beating up the Rutgers and Tulsas of the world. PSU just put up how many points against a really good Wisconsin defense and destroyed a MSU team that almost beat OSU. Overall PSU is not top four. Right now they definitely are.
|1 day 13 hours ago||that reminds me of this for some reason|
|1 day 13 hours ago||I predict||
Bama, Clemson, OSU, Washington.
I think it should be Bama, Clemson, Washington, and Penn State.
OSU beat us and Wisconsin in overtime and if Dontania kicked the extra point, they may have gone to OT with 3-9 MSU. OSU's offensive line is a sieve and Barrett has the accuracy of a stormtrooper. We had that game won with any sort of unbiased officiating. OSU is not that good. They didn't win their conference, they didn't win their division, and in the head-to-head with PSU they lost. We waxed PSU, but that was a long time ago. That's not the same PSU team we destroyed. Sorry, it's just not.

Donnal is shooting 0.870 at the free throw line to Wagner's 0.647. Donnal is 2nd on the team in FTA. Getting the other team's bigs in foul trouble makes life easier in end of game situations. The FT% and FTA distinction is minor, but it's not insignificant.
When both guys are averaging less than 1 spg and 1 bpg, the "double" rate that Moe has is inconsequential.
Say what you will about the bigs, if MAAR and Zak don't improve their three point percentages, this team is going nowhere.
|2 days 23 hours ago||Washington||
Their resume reminds me of Iowa's last season. When Iowa finally played a decent MSU team in the BTCG, they lost. Colorado awaits.

is that you dad?
He's the only one I ever heard use that particular expression.
|3 days 4 hours ago||Mike Hart||
Mike Hart averaged 5.0 ypc in his career. De'Veon Smith averaged 4.9 ypc this season. What is it? Whose offensive line was better? Who was the better back? You can't have it both ways. If the 2016 line is average, than Smith is the GREATEST RB EVAH! I think they are both good. Smith had to share carries with three other backs.
|3 days 4 hours ago||Chesson running||
Brian said we ran Chesson so the McDoom take is bad. We ran Chesson once in regulation and once in OT. Both times it worked for positive yardage (9 and 5 with a shoestring tackle to save a bigger gain.) Wisconsin ran Peavy 6 times for 70 yards against OSU. I would have liked to see MOAR JET SWEEPS!!!
|3 days 4 hours ago||Cole facemask||
The corollary to the Cole facemask is an uncalled hands-to-the-face/facemask that the OSU RG got away with to Glasgow's facemask, mid-1st quarter IIRC. It's basically the same situation. A lineman grabbing a defender's facemask. It was called on Cole. It wasn't called on the OSU RG. The PI on Hill was called. The PI on Conley wasn't. The unsportsmanlike on Harbaugh was called, the unsportsmanlike on Weber wasn't (nor was Urban's running up and down the sideline like a douche. That IS unsportsmanlike conduct in basketball!!!)

They are poisonous nuts
|3 days 21 hours ago||OK||
When John Beilein goes to the ACC and fails miserably, I'll concede your point.
|3 days 21 hours ago||twitter comments||
I like the juxtaposition of these comments. The PSU guy says "has to be something more than wins and losses," and the response is "Could be worse though...' F*ck Penn State.
|3 days 21 hours ago||Sark||
They should just have a drink and patch things up.
|3 days 21 hours ago||wrant a cracker?||
|3 days 23 hours ago||Sagers||
Sagers camera would have you believe that Michigan was the only team on the field. He certainly wasn't looking to call any penalties against OSU.
|4 days 42 min ago||Rebounding||
When you miss a three pointer, the ball is just as likely to carom long. The problem we've had in the past with rebounding was playing 6'4" Novak at the 4 or a not very physical Irvin at the 4. Donnal and Wagner have to be more aggressive going after rebounds. Now that DJ is at the 4, we should be doing better rebounding. I saw him go up for a rebound last night and he was a good foot and a half above everyone else on the floor. He's got length and hops, just need to keep him on the floor.
|4 days 1 hour ago||Our ticky-tack fouls frustrate me||
What I mean by that is often you'll see one of our players (Donnal) reach in and then realize that could be a foul so they back off the offensive player and get vertical. The opponent proceeds to make an easy layup AND get the foul called. If you are going to foul, just go ahead and foul. What we do ends up in too many "and one" opportunities for the opposition. The bigs need to be more physical, and I'd include Wagner in that.
|4 days 15 hours ago||Beilein||
Has won two BIG 10 championships. It's been a long time since the football team has done that.
|4 days 16 hours ago||I only saw the one||
because I missed the first 16 minutes of the game. Yep, when I started watching we were ahead by 13. You can blame me for this loss.
|4 days 16 hours ago||challenge||
Big 10 is down 7-4 right now. I don't think Michigan's loss is going to be the difference. The whole conference looks down this year. With Michigan having senior leadership, some bigs, a defensive philosophy, this could have been the year to steal another championship like they did with Novak and Douglass. That ain't happening this season unless someone steps up and gets them playing harder. Don't know if that's Beilein or Walton or someone else. They just sleep-walked through the last two games.
|4 days 16 hours ago||Lacking||
they are also lacking energy and aggression. You can tell they lack energy because on seemingly every out of bounds play, they make real lazy cuts and the defense is able to stay with them. So they are forced to throw the ball all the way to the backcourt. I want to see some hard, aggressive cuts from this team. I saw Duncan make one nice backdoor cut and Walton hit him for a layup. That was it for the whole game.
The center position is a clusterf#ck right now defensively. Neither guy can guard and Donnal is afraid to foul lest he be pulled from the game. So he lets in easy layups and gets pulled from the game anyway. He ran out to the 3 point line on one VT player who calmly drove right past him. Play under control. Play with a plan.
|4 days 16 hours ago||Donnal||
I've been one of his biggest supporters here, but I've got to admit he played with no energy or enthusiasm tonight. Any more of this and Teske is going to take his minutes. Donnal is 6' 10" but plays like he's 6' 4". Teske is a real seven footer that disrupts the opposition. The other takeaway from tonight is DJ Wilson is going to have some off nights. He's not experienced enough to play through foul trouble or when things aren't going his way. We need good games from 4-5 of our top 7 players to win because nobody is good enough to take over. The one thing I thought we could count on was free throws and that abandoned us tonight. Pitiful second half.
