I thought that myself when I read that article that talked about a Data Scientist(tm)

He used to tell us all the time, "I don't care where you get your degrees from, as long as one is from Michigan."
|15 hours 42 min ago||Harbaugh the Gray||
Next year he morphs into Harbaugh the Maize, destroyer of worlds and whatnot...

I think Jay Riemersma is a much better comparison.

your "intra" thread youa culpa suffices
|3 days 11 hours ago||Chatman||
He was playing major minutes in crunch time so apparently Beilein disagrees with you. I thought he played his best game in a while. There's more to basketball than just scoring.
|4 days 17 hours ago||Yoga||
My favorite informercial these days is for the DDP-Yoga program. He combines traditional Yoga with what he's learned doing rehab from all his wrestling injuries, and he throws in some wrestling moves for fun. What could go wrong? That infomercial is such a train wreck, yet I can't look away.

this was going to be an appeal to crowd-source an advertising campaign.
I was watching a BTN game recently and thought that would be the perfect place to have a 30 second MGoAd. You could go real cheap with the graphics, just have something up on the screen saying MGoBlog.com for 30 seconds. BTN can't be that expensive, and it would be way better than having to sit through another ad for a farming-related product.

Great read. Thanks for sharing.

It's the dee-oh-double-gee...

and even less so after I found out they did better in the second half with properly flated balls.
|6 days 18 hours ago||Next year||
The greatest thing about freshmen is that they become sophomores, and we have a lot of freshmen on the roster.
|6 days 18 hours ago||The toe||
He rebounds like the toe is fine. He outjumps most of the guys around him and goes and gets the ball. Inch for inch, he's our best rebounder by far, and may be our best rebounder period. He just has a nose for the ball.
When he's taking the ball to the rim, I've noticed a lot of times he dribbles right into trouble and ends up facing a 4 or 5 who has 10 inches on him. He's not going to be able to get that shot off good toe or bad. I think he needs to see the court better and think a couple moves ahead of where he's currently at.

Still don't know what that means...
|1 week 13 hours ago||Spike||
He'll be back next year so I don't understand giving his minutes to freshmen. If he's the best option, play him. He'll be a senior leader next year.
|1 week 13 hours ago||Bielfeldt!!!||
48-42, good guys. 3 minutes to go. Just make our FTs...
|1 week 13 hours ago||Irvin / Chatman||
check the stats, Irvin was way better than Chatman is. Chatman can't even make a layup with his off-hand.
|1 week 13 hours ago||ESPN gamecast||
I'm following the game via ESPN Gamecast. What a bizarre way to follow a basketball game. We're 7-24 (0.292 Pct) from 3. If we could just get that up to 35%. That's not asking too much, is it?

Snoop Dogg famously collaborated with Dr. Dre, who is a producer for this slightly deranged UofM fan:

|1 week 16 hours ago||Shooting||
It all comes down to shooting. Irvin is shooting 0.357 from three this year compared to 0.425 last season. Spike's 3PCT has dropped from 0.387 to 0.341. Walton is down from 0.410 to 0.362. The most likely reason is that these three aren't getting the same wide open looks that they did last year now that Stauskas isn't around. However, maybe it is just a health/adjustment period. If they can creep back up to 0.400, Doyle continues developing a la freshman Jordan Morgan, and we get some sort of contribution from Chatman/Dawkins/MAAR/Donnal, I don't think the season is over. NCAA tournament? Probably not. NIT? Why the hell not? Go Blue, dammit!

I don't understand why Sports Illustrated continues to employ him. His stuff is complete garbage.
I've been an SI subscriber for almost 40 years. He's the worst writer they've had in that time.
I did notice that in the national championship game recap in the print edition, another writer wrote how OSU beat Michigan at Michigan this season. The only problem is, that game happened in Columbus. I guess that didn't fit his narrative or else the fact checkers are terrible.

I noticed a new name, for me at least, on the list of participating restaurants: Jamaican Jerk Pit. I called for reservations and they said they are out of you!
|1 week 22 hours ago||Let's not forget our history||
The 2011-12 team shared the Big 10 championship with Zack Novak playing the 4. Burke was a revelation, but freshman Trey Burke was not the same as sophomore Trey Burke. Only 2 players on that team averaged double figures, Burke and Hardaway, both just below 15 ppg. Smotrycz and Douglass provided some scoring, as did a young Jordan Morgan.
Fast forward to today. Walton and Irvin are going to have to step up for LeVert's absence. Bielfeldt/Donnal need to step up and play that undersized 4 role that Novak filled. (This is the main reason why I think they will struggle to make the tournament instead of compete for the league crown. Bielfeldt is no Novak, no offense intended, no pun intended either.) They need some of the frosh to grow real fast, whether it be MAAR or Dawkins.
A path to 9-9 is there, but that's not good enough to make the tourney due to the NJIT and EMU games. 10-8 or 11-7 in the conference might be enough, but that would require an even better coaching job than Beilein did in 2011-12. I'm going to keep watching the games, but I fully realize any win we get from here on out is something to be celebrated, not expected.

I'd like to see him pull off that look in Ann Arbor in November.

I think College teams use their own balls, but the NFL teams use the same balls. I said "balls," multiple times.

Calzone at QB, But at tite end, Darbo and Cheeson at wide reciever. We our going too score manny poynts
|1 week 4 days ago||History repeats||
Next season, when we beat the undefeated, undisputed best team ever, Harbaugh will give the game ball to Hoke. Until then, he'll just hang around Ann Arbor wrestling and playing cards with Mattison. That's what I'd do (minus the wrestling part) if I had just made $11M over 4 years.

Chris Weinke won the Heisman at age 28, and I'm pretty sure BYU is full of 25 year old college seniors, there's that whole, two-year Mormon mission thing.
