Just came across my 247…

Just came across my 247 blast. He's the DC at the OSU.

Who's the knucklehead who…

Who's the knucklehead who gave Duke a first place vote, considering they lost to Gonzaga???  Zags also played without one of their top players...

According to the paper,…

According to the paper, Urban knew about it from his wife. Apparently the ex-wife spoke to Urban's wife, detailing the abuse. She said she will relay it to her husband.

She's in quite the pickle. Either she's a horrible friend, or she just tanked her husband's job.

Fun fact.

Iceland…

Fun fact.

Iceland population: 335,000

Nigeria population: 168 million

Washtenaw County: 360,000

I'm in Brasilia and watched…

I'm in Brasilia and watched the game with a bunch of locals at a bakery. They were ready to fly to Russia and string up the referee. I told some I thought the referee was calling a good game, and that he wasn't buying what Brasil was selling. They wouldn't talk to me the rest of the game. I did however think Brasil was the much better team.

Is there anyone left in…

Is there anyone left in Iceland? Their entire population is in that stadium in some form.

Heading to Brasiia …

Heading to Brasiia (begrudgingly) for a few weeks if anyone knows a friendly U of M bar

Curitiba, Brazil...

Cannot find anywhere or means to watch the game. May catch an earlier flight.

There are some surprises in the Big 10...

Just look at Maryland... Wow.

Using Rivals, Maryland is 4th, just behind Penn State., OSU and Michigan

Rutgers is 5th???!!!???  State is 6th ahead of Wisonsin and Nebraska.  Indiana bringing up the rear.

I'm wondering if the Big 10 is in for a downfall over the next few years

Mores pecifically, he's from

Mores pecifically, he's from Canton, which is a stone's throw from Ann Arbor.  All this talk of possibly not having a center ... just sayin'...

Minnesota....

First line of defense against those pesky Canadians!

I was there...

My dad got me two tickets for Christmas.  We kicked the crap out of Dallas only to turn around, and, in grand Detroit Lions fashion, get the crapped kicked out of us by Washington.

I'm here now...

I met my brother (U of M class of '87) and his daughter who goes to Wisconsin here for the Cotton Bowl.  I stayed at the Hampton Inn, which is only a 30 minute walk to the stadium.  I highly recommend going.  We sat club level at the 20 yeard line and could see everything.  You are also only 20 minute drive to downtown Dallas, which has some cool places, such as Book Depository museum and Christies sports bar.

11:20???  Betty Ford on line

11:20???  Betty Ford on line 2...  But there will be Stellas in the not-too-distant future.

I can hear it now after a bad

I can hear it now after a bad play by Michigan: [Insert melencholoy, dejected voice] "Oh, boy... here we go...."

Does anyone know if Anthony

Does anyone know if Anthony Zettle made the two-deep?

Dang... the irony of my "my

Dang... the irony of my "my time to shine" statement.  Descent/Decent.  And I'm an English teacher.  Ugh...

Woo-hoo!  My time to shine.

Woo-hoo!  My time to shine.  This should be more of an adoption question as opposed to a photography question.  As the father of two beautiful adopted daughters from China, we ran into this situation with our youngest, who was brought home when she was three.  My wife an I collectively read a dozen adoption books, and all of them suggest the following: Do NOT attempt to create/fabricate a history for adoptive children who are void of any visual history.  The more appropriate response would be "I'm very sorry; we have no photos of you as a baby.  Here's what you may have looked like." If she's African decent, show pictures of infant African decent infants, etc.  Creating history sets a bad precedent and has the potential to blow up in the adoptive parents' face.  Short of working with the adoption agency to find actual photos, honesty is the best route to follow.  I highly suggest viewing the documentary "Somewhere in between."  It deals with similar situations.  Hope this helps.

In terms of whether he flips

In terms of whether he flips or not, I recall he flipped from Shrine HS to DeLasalle, so I guess it wouldn't be out of the question.

High school baseball and

High school baseball and softball allow the umpire to relagate someone (most of the time the coach) to the bench.  He/She is not allowed to be seen off the bench or heard.  If so the coach is then ejected.  I'm unsure of the college rule, and I'm pretty sure MLB does not have a similar rule.  As a 4-sport high school official, I really like how sportsmanship is handled.  Basketball is by far the worst.

I vaguely remembering a

I vaguely remember a terrifying story dealing with a legendary U of M coach kicking to a future ND Heisman Trophy winner a second time after said WR ran one back earlier in the game.  I still sometimes fall asleep to the sounds of my own screams thinking about that game.

Chris Bryant was a 4* as I

Chris Bryant was a 4* as I recall

A guy I know who coaches

A guy I know who coaches basketball at a local Catholic school who was also a tight end on the field at the time of "The Catch."  He told me that he vividly remembers he and a couple other players hurting their necks because when the fans rushed the field, that were snatching the chin guards off players' helmets.  I thought that was an interestig tidbit from history.

Is this guy coming to the BBQ or not?

What's funny (and a tad

What's funny (and a tad ironic) is Roby is slated to be one of three OSU players representing the football team at media day.  I wonder if that'll change.
