After reading this article, I'll be rooting for Caris even more. I'm glad he's a part of this team. And momentum shift doesn't seem to accurately describe the feeling in Crisler when Caris made that half-time 3-pointer.
Also, I'm going to start taking this "rivalry" with Illinois a bit more seriously.

I'm so happy for Glenn.

"... You a bum, boy. You a bum."
I love that Horford just calmly pointed and nodded while Valentine is all swole up in the chest with his fists balled, yet backing away.

|2 weeks 1 day ago||Shady, but on the other hand...||
Like someone mentioned in the comments of the article, it's not much different than Catholic schools recruiting talented players from public schools. Three of the families using the same fake address is just shady, though.
And interesting story, indeed. When I first read the article, there was a quote, which has been removed, from the new coach at Bolingbrook. It read like he's supportive of Coach Smith and the four transfers to Homewood-Flossmoor. It also mentioned that Bolingbrook's new coach brought two players from his previous school with him. I guess the Bolingbrook team is next to be reprimanded.

I had a similar reaction after reading that Terrelle Pryor never knew how to properly throw until the 2013 offseason, and Michael Vick was never taught how to carry the football. (Link)

It's kind of funny that Grant (who is known for his assists, steals, and causing turnovers) was honored during this particular game.

It's time to get those renovations started earlier than planned with Cindy Simon Skjodt's $40 million gift.

It now reads: "4. Michigan (18-7, LW: S3) -- The Wolverines followed up a win at Ohio State with a loss at home to Wisconsin. They're tied with Michigan State atop the Big Ten, clear of the rest of the conference by 1.5 games. That makes Sunday's showdown with the Spartans in Ann Arbor the likely de facto regular season conference championship game."

I don't have a problem with anything Larry said, but it sounds like the same things I've heard about UM basketball; you know, soft, NBA kids, etc. However, things seem to be working out well for MBB, so I don't see why it wouldn't in football. Then again, perhaps more of a "killer" instinct is needed on the gridiron than the court.
Also, I can't help but wonder if Michigan's admission standards were part of the reason Larry's mentee, Jamal Lyles, didn't receive an offer. Lyles is mentioned in another article as Malik's good friend, by the way.
|4 weeks 13 hours ago||Best of luck to the McDowells||
It sounds like Malik has had a change of heart a few times during this process. I read a Detroit News article (Link), which had quotes from Malik about MSU not always being his first choice, and there was no major reason why he decided to pick MSU. Then, the article goes on to mention Malik and his friend, Jamal Lyles, having a good talk about State's family atmosphere. The same Jamal who was mentored by Larry Foote and definitely wanted a Michigan offer...

And Tim Miles is officially my second favorite B1G basketball coach. He seems like such a funny and nice guy.

The guy next to me had on enough awful cologne for 2-3 dudes. Naturally, he spent most of the game yelling about how a particular player stinks and should be benched for making so many mistakes.

You can watch the film online (here) for free. The clip of the dad in his Michigan gear is at the 17:30 mark of the movie. I can't vouch for the website, but I didn't have any issues.

For the confusion, here's a stunned OSU fan at tonight's game:

The loss ended OSU's 80 straight wins against unranked teams, which was the longest active streak in Division I. Matta also had an 18-game win streak against PSU. The last time Penn State won at OSU in 1998. That game went to overtime, too.

This entire incident is just shameful and disappointing. The player(s) involved, the University and athletic department really let all of us down, especially the victim. With that being said, it sounds like the changes to OSCR will improve the way future complaints are handled. And I'm currently willing to give Coach Hoke (and Dave Brandon) the benefit of the doubt. He has suspended and kicked players off the team for committing lesser offenses.

I really wonder what was that ref's deal. To get him to back off, Bacari had to jump up and yell, "Hey!"
Anyway, OFAAT is my favorite, Ace.

Here's a UM-Iowa game thread (link) from RCMB with the nicknames being used, but I noticed a while ago lots of "McOld," "scUM," "Stouskiss," etc., on that site.
Edit: Your comment reads like you were implying that I'm lame and made those names up, which is funny.
