I honestly feel

Hall will join Mike Edwards at Tennessee and leave the buckeyes wondering about the Glenville pipeline

Bilas

is a no talent ass clown. He is probably the most biased sports commentator in history. Remember last year when Tyler Hansborough was elbowed by Duke guard Gerald Henderson? He defended Henderson last year and said the play was not dirty. IMO, what Henderson did to Hansborough was twice as dirty than what Manny did. Manny had no intent to connect with an elbow. He was just swinging the ball from the right hip to the left shoulder. Its called a clear out. Bilas rips our program and coach and says we have major issues to deal with. Your a public figure on a national network Bilas, start acting like it.

I agree with the Novak suspension but if Manny gets suspended, I will be ripped. They better not hold a grudge towards us come tourny time if we are on the bubble.

this ref

on the purdue end blows the whistle everytime down court. this is horseshit

we are getting hosed

the refs are handing the game to purdue. i would love to see the foul totals

fuck that

not again

I just saw

that too. I'm not an insider to InsideTheFort. I think we sign both players, FWIW.

Deerfield Beach

Deerfield Beach is 20 miles from Palm Beach so i guess so.

Please

don't tease me. I know Orson Charles is gonna sign after NSD.

Good

We need some more positive news other than JeRon Stokes

I was hoping

the Knowledge's boy Rex Ryan would drag Blake to the Jets. It definitely helps the Heels case for Sam.

I can't blame

Graves if he wants to go to Oklahoma. He will have a legitimate shot at a NC as a true freshman (even though he will RS). They have all kinds of firepower returning and it is close to home. I still want him in maize and blue though. Hopefully Greg Robinson had a nice talk with him the other day.

I don't even see

us finishing with five more recruits. I think it will be Stokes, Robinson, and Witty. I think Montgomery chooses UNC and Washington stays in-state with the Gamecocks. I hope we finish strong but I don't see it happening. Keeping both DT's would be a plus though.

where's

Runyan

I hope

I hope any 2 of the 3 return kicks next year:
Cissoko, Robinson, or Shaw

I hear ya

Shock

reason

Our DB's did not play well last year and most of that can be chalked up to our horrendous efforts from #3. Our CB's are good corners with huge upside. The problem was our safeties couldn't cover anyone so we had to play a lot of zone. Warren is a corner that likes to play physical at the line and jam receivers to throw off their timing with the QB. I think Greg Robinson will pressure the QB and play a lot of man to man on the outside next year. I feel good about our corners and think they will be up for the challenge. I think our secondary will look like this:
CB's- Warren and Cissoko
Turner will defend the slot but I HOPE he moves to the outside and Cissoko defends the slot. His lack of size could hurt us on the outside.
S's-Mike Williams and Brown/Smith will rotate

I think

I think we will definitely see Barnum(guard) and Omameh(tackle). O'Neill has potential but still needs some work. We need immediate help at guard more than tackle.

Witty

is not in the Fla top 100

Hopefully we land one more

guy on that list in Denard Robinson. He would be an excellent pickup since he could provide depth at QB or CB.

Don't discount

Denard Robinson if he comes. He will have a lot of ground to make up(learning the playbook, reads, defenses, etc) but his athleticism is off the charts.

Penn St

PSU had a pretty good team with Michael Robinson as a QB. If I recall correctly, that is the same year where UM freshman Super Mario caught the game winning TD as time expired. That was a great game against a good Joe Pa team. I dont know if they were necessarily better than this year's team but definitely comparable.

Christian Green

is the cousin of Sam Sword, former Michigan LB

IMO

Sam can stand up and play outside LB wherever he goes. He would be best as a DE in a 4-3. He can also be a blitzing OLB in a 3-4/3-3-5. His versatility is something that Greg Robinson is looking for. Hopefully he hates Baton Rouge this weekend

i think

terrell mitchell is too...a 6-6 WR/TE from Powder Springs, Ga

his coach said

that michigan and kansas st were the only schools to offer both him and Denard. Tennessee was contemplating whether to offer whitty.

Thanks Tom

keep up the good work. We need these stud DB's from Fla.

Chitown

They have not offered Dantin a scholarship yet.

Magnus, if you read my post correctly

it says i don't know how many recruits/open schollies we will have next year. I never said we will fill out 25 scholarships next year. All i said is that it makes sense to save a scholarship (not offering Dantin) in case we do sign a big class next year. Dantin cannot that big of an upgrade over Feagin/Furha so why waste a scholarship on him. I agree with filling a roster with scholarship athletes but IMO, it is a waste to offer Dantin when we will have Threet, Tate, Sheridan, Feagin, and Furha (not to mention the qb prospects form next years class). It is a gamble to wait til next year but offering this Dantin kid is a gamble too. We dont know if he will pan out or not.

thats your opinion and your entitled to it

I dont want to do %'s. Its too much of a hassle but i honestly believe we will land at least one of the 3 guys you said were exceedingly unlikely. All we can do is speculate and i hate doing it, but it gets me pumped in the off season. I take in information from recruiting circuits and form opinions based on what i hear. We only have like 15 seniors on next year's team so estimating available scholarships is kinda hard if not impossible when you consider early enrollments.

We dont have to fill out the class.

I would rather us only sign quality players and have some open scholarships for next year's class, which looks like it could be one of our best classes in years. A lot of kids have expressed early desires to play for Michigan next year and i dont understand wasting offers on kids who might not see the field in the entire career at Michigan. I personally think that we will sign 24-26 players this year. We have 20 commits now with two possible de-commits in Graves and Jones. So we have some flexibility. IMO, we still have a decent shot landing the following:

Denard Robinson and Witty- seems to be a package deal
Je'Ron Stokes- had a great visit and close to Gallon at ARMY game. Plus, his brother is a good QB recruit next year.
Willie Haulstead- might be in good position b/c Fla St might yank his offer. They lost some scholarships due to cheating scandal.
Sam Mongomery- though it will be tough to get him from LSU,UNC, South Carolina, and Tenn.
Marcus Hall- us, Ohio St, or Miami
Travante Stallworth- us, Auburn, or South Carolina

Remember this is just my opinion and i stress this. I think the other recruits like Quinton Washington, Bennie Logan and others are going to go to a in-state school

snake oil and

informative header jokes need to go. i am beginning to feel the same about Barwis porn but i think it is hilarious.

glad to see

chitownblue is starting to come around on the GR train. he knows defense and is experienced.

its official

per rivals

We will be

alright. We will have a winning record (i predict 8-4 next year) and will begin a new consecutive bowl streak that ended last year. He is a good DC not a HC and he is a great role model for these young kids. I don't love the hire but i like it. There were no other options out there who would've accepted $250-300K a year.

He needs to wear

his 2 Super Bowl rings on every recruiting trip he makes or at least show every kid he recruits those rings. He is not as bad as everyone on this site makes him out to be. GR has more experience than any other candidate and he must have a good relationship and/or share defensive philosophies with RichRod. I think we will see multiple front defenses with him. I want this search to end so we can focus on recruiting

Believe it

check out Texas Tech...system qb's

blue balls

"At best, this guy is a bigger gamble than Coach Shafer."

I completely disagree with your statement. Remember this guy has 2 SuperBowl rings as a DC. Maybe he was overburdened as a head coach but who knows? The point is he is a substantial upgrade over Schafer and has twice as much experience. He might not be a great recruiter but if i recall correctly, Schafer was not a good one either. The only recruit he was real close with was Thomas Gordon.

i agree with turbo

he has the speed to make an impact on special teams and in the slot. RR uses a lot of people in order to stay fresh during crunchtime (4th quarter). he will get his reps in two or three years

nevermind

just watched his highlights on rivals. i think he definitely warrants 3 star consideration but i felt the same about aj westendorf. they are similar prospects but dantin seems a little more mobile. he is athletic and made some tough throws

Magnus

do you know where any highlights of him are? where did you see him play? i'm just curious about this kid

fast and elusive

he is quick and more powerful than i originally expected for such a little guy. the run he made at the 3:50 mark in the highlights stood out to me. he made some great cuts and showed that he can make people miss. most likely a redshirt candidate but i'm still excited about him.

Willie Ferrell

a LB from Florida is supposed to along with Bennie Logan, a DE recruit from Louisiana. haven't heard much from them. Are they still visiting?

add

Derrick Bryant from Ohio and
Easterly from Cass Tech and
Tyler Van Bergen from Whitehall, the brother of our DE Ryan Van Bergen

Cullen Christian and Brandon Ifil have interest too

i wish schwartz would

become our DC...never gonna happen but it doesn't hurt to dream

i agree

Shafer is irrelevant now

also

While he was at KC, they spent the majority of the money on the offensive side of the ball. Trent Green, Priest Holmes, Tony G, LJ, Willie Roaf, Brian Waters and others tied up a lot of money which limited their ability to sign top notch defenders. Even with average defenders, Robinson's 2002 was ranked 3rd in the nfl and in 2003 they led the league with a +19 turnover margin. I think he could be a good fit for us at DC

in his defense

i am not a GR advocate but in his defense, Syracuse shouldn't be mentioned in the same paragraph as Michigan when it comes to recruiting. Top recruits want to come to Michigan b/c we develop good pros and have a strong alumni base. IF he becomes DC at Michigan, i strongly feel he will recruit well. Come on now lets be serious, nobody wants to play at football for the Orange minus Mcnabb,Freeney,Marvin Harrison, and Quadry "the Missile" Ismail.

thanks tom

that's big time news for us. Jeremy Gallon needs to keep working on him.

Wheatley

for sure.

IMO

we will finish with a top ten recruiting class, somewhere around 7-9.

JT Turner, Will Campbell, and Tate are the headliners.
Marcus Hall, Sam Montgomery, Denard Rob, Jeron Stokes are still strong possibilities. I think we will land two or three of these 4star guys with Sam being the longshot.

Isiah Bell, Roh, Lewan, and Schofield are good recruits too.

We need to finish strong and hold on to either Pearlie or Dequinta for added depth on the DL. Another QB would be nice and i think we have a 50/50 shot at Denard. Can't wait til Feb. 4
