I would love to be a part of this game in a few years http://www.al.com/alabama/birminghamnews/index.ssf?/base/sports/1219652… Towards the end of the article it says they're hoping to eventually include a team from outside the south.
LOVE IT i thought it was hilarious...i've just become a member of the proletariat in the last couple weeks and find it hilarious. and to the people complaining about being offended, you probably need to grow a pair. seriously.
Juiceman I agree The adidas jerseys look kinda chintzy. I don't think the numbers are tackle twill, which sucks. Plus adidas cleats and gloves and stuff aren't nearly as sweet as Nike's. I'm 20 and in my opinion, Nike and Under Armour are much cooler than adidas; I think many recruits feel the same, and it could have a very small impact on their decision. As in, if all other major factors are even, a recruit could pick a Nike school over an adidas school. Just my opinion, although every player on my high school football team agreed with me.
Alabama is officially sponsored by Nike Their jerseys, shoes, socks, gloves, etc. are Nike gear.
I love the RR Kool Aid! After a few glasses I get visions of Tate bombing one to Ricardo to win the 2011 title game. And then those weird ones where the Kool Aid dude busts through walls and stuff.
Any chance with Swearinger? D.J. Swearinger, Tenessee decommit, is back on the market. I've heard South Carolina is likely to land him but I know before he committed to UT he had us on his short list. Do we have a chance with him?
Expectations for next season Oh I totally agree. In no way am I expecting 9 wins next year. I'm just saying that if it did happen everybody would be thrilled because of the way the season has gone this year. Looking at the schedule next year, we've got Western, along with two other non-BCS schools (I'm assuming) and Notre Dame. In conference we have very winnable games home games against Indiana and Purdue, plus very winnable road games against MSU and Wisconsin. OSU, PSU, @ Illinois, and @ Iowa are toss-ups, so 7-5 is a great target. Of course, we still have the whole offseason ahead of us so that could change somewhat (in either direction) by the time next season starts.
Sparty's gonna be rooting for us Saturday I love how our ineptitude this season has a chance to bite msu in the ass. Don't get me wrong, I would much rather have a traditional Michigan season, bowl game, etc., but after having to endure sparty fans lording over their amazing win over the worst Michigan team ever, we can prevent them from going to the Rose Bowl. It probably won't even matter though, they'll most likely lose to joepa.
Defense will have a few young faces Roh, LaLota, Jones, and Campbell (if he's with us) will get some PT next year with all the D-linemen leaving. As Dallas said Brandon Smith may possibly be a starting safety. He had an appendectomy early in the season that pretty much forced him to take a redshirt. And don't forget about Gallon on offense. He's electric and could get some time at either slot or RB.
