No dude, THAT's ridiculous. A and W beats all of those any day of the week.
|1 week 2 days ago||Then your guess would be wrong||
I know plenty of people that chose majors just for love of the subject and didn't care at all about what might come after, especially those who majored in things like English literature, art, dance, etc. The same applies to literally thousands of student athletes that play whatever sport they're in, including basketball and football, knowing full well they'll never be stars or go pro. Some examples: Andrew Dakich, Spike Albrecht, Jack Wangler, Bo Dever, etc. Do they hope that maybe they might break out and become a star? Sure. Do they expect to? I highly doubt it.
|1 week 4 days ago||Great logic, man||
Obvious sarcasm. Your post makes no sense. You're saying its more likely they got most of their heights wrong? Use a little intelligence, if Peppers is 6'1, then Speight is almost 7'. It doesn't matter if they're standing in an arc, it doesn't make that big of a difference.
|1 week 4 days ago||He's definitely NOT 6'1||
He's probably 5'11. It's easy to see from pictures. The one posted the other day with him next to Lewis had excuses made for it: "he's not wearing cleats", "it's taken at an angle", "his head's at an angle", etc. All a little valid. But not enough to account for 3-4" in height. Look at this picture. If the other recruits' heights are accurate, he's definitely in the 5'10 to 5'11 range.
All the other recruits' listed heights are correct in proportion to each other. Speight, 6'6; Ferns, 6'4; Bushell-Beatty, 6'5... Unless Speight is 6'9, there is absolutely no way Peppers is even close to 6'1.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||LOL||
Wow.. No. You're thinking Liberace.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Kind of kidding||
I'm doing my summer internship for grad school here in DC and the World Cup experience has been incredible. Walked outside of my apartment the other morning and there was a group of Mexicans and a group of Brazilians on opposite sides of the street yelling at each other. It was incredibly fun to watch. I keep thinking every day how lame it would be to be back in Ann Arbor/Detroit right now for this incredible experience. That said, I know of a coffee shop in Clawson on 14 mile that is all about soccer. My guess is that place gets packed and is a blast to watch it at. It's on the south side of the street right by Main.

That is all
|9 weeks 1 day ago||They really need a new center though||
Raiola is done after this year.
|9 weeks 1 day ago||Those guys are reaches with the number 10 pick||
But that's the problem. We should have attempted to trade down. We didn't. Mayhew said there were no good offers but it's a lie. 20 seconds after they were on the clock they turned their pick in. They didn't even attempt to shop around after the previous pick was made. It was typical Lions drafting. It happens every year without fail. They have a list of top prospects and just go with the top guy on it when it gets to them. They rarely try to maneuver or play with strategy. Hell, even Ebron could have been had several spots lower. At the very least take him a few picks lower and get an extra 3rd rounder while you're at it.
|10 weeks 5 days ago||You just saw them do something that wasn't sorcery||
These players are desperate heaves and we should never have been in a position to make them. Beilein didn't have a contingency plan in place for the obvious eventuality that we were going to lose players at the end of this season. He hasn't recruited bigs since he got McGary and he should have been. Now we're left with iffy players playing out of position at BOTH the four AND the five. Sad state of affairs at the moment.
|10 weeks 5 days ago||Hm||
Sucks b/c he'll be playing for OSU next year.
|10 weeks 5 days ago||You're embarrassing yourself dude||
You're the one out of touch. In the last year I've gotten 3 surveys on football tickets, their prices and what I want in my Michigan football experience. They're not pulling these ideas out of their asses. They've done legitimate market research and know what will bring more people to games. If Brandon thinks that more wi-fi will get more fans in the stands then it's because there's substantial evidence that says it will. But then there's little you sitting in front of his computer, never having taken an econometrics, statistics or economics course in his life and thinking he knows better than much more substantially paid people with MBAs.
|11 weeks 1 day ago||A panic offer that won't add anything for a few years||
Not sure how him signing is a bright spot today. Some of us care more about the well-being of the program than a good feeling story.
|11 weeks 2 days ago||Sigh||
Michigan pissed off some cosmic power in the universe when we embarrassed Tim Tebow in the Capital One Bowl in 2008. Our athletics program hasn't been quite the same since. Can't have one year without some really bad vibes around either the football or basketball program.
|12 weeks 4 days ago||It says something||
It also says something that we're not replacing that talent. Still have a ways to go.
|12 weeks 4 days ago||It's not about him making a mistake||
I don't think he's making a mistake even if he goes in the second round. I think he'll do very well in the NBA. He was playing out of position for the Wolverines and with the way the NBA is set up he'll do fine.
What it's about is that this is terrible for the program. Who plays the four next year? Donnal? Not exactly excited about that. If McGary goes, which is still a possibility, then we're even more screwed. Fact is, we had no backup plan for this situation and most people I was talking bball with last year thought it was a solid possibility. We better be prepared for when Irvin declares early next year. We're not replacing our talent.

Bar soap (two words though)
|1 year 21 weeks ago||Really?||
He had obviously innocent intent. People like you are the idiots for not seeing such a clearly constructed joke. It's people like you that see a few bad things happen in the world and then see shadows with knives in every corner that are the idiots. You're the one that is socially awkward with no connection to reality.
|1 year 29 weeks ago||They'll say, and I'll agree with them||
That Green fell right into our lap. With Miami's sanctions, the train wreck that is Auburn, coaching change at Tennessee, etc...... Mark Dantonio could have recruited this kid to Michigan. I'll be ecstatic when we land him but it doesn't say much about Hoke's recruiting ability, either way, if we do.
|1 year 34 weeks ago||How is that trolling?||
People should be allowed to post criticisms. The coaches aren't perfect. This site shouldn't be one big circle jerk, it should be a forum for honest discussion. That said, the kid says the coaches aren't recruiting him as much as they used to or as much as other coaches. You don't get a much better source than that. So saying the coaches should step up their recruiting game isn't trolling, it's a fact. At least as long as they still want Treadwell.
|1 year 37 weeks ago||That's what I took it to mean as well until the mods at Rivals..||
|1 year 37 weeks ago||The Derrick Green section is not good news||
You failed to bold the last portion of that quote from the article. Farrell is saying despite Michigan being the best choice for Green, he thinks Green is thinking somewhere else. This was discussed thoroughly on Rivals. Draw your own conclusions but Farrell doesn't think Green's coming to Michigan, and he's by far the most tuned in to Green's recruitment.
|1 year 49 weeks ago||Moron||
Go F yourself.
|1 year 50 weeks ago||Why not?||
They do, in fact, do this for a living. Just b/c they're not physical specimens that made it big in football doesn't mean their understanding of the game is any less. When they spend every day of their work week analyzing and talking football prospects, I think that qualifies them as experts.
|2 years 1 week ago||Hope he comes to Michigan||
Looking like he won't be though.
|2 years 1 week ago||Only person being racist here is you||
There's absolutely no need to cry "racist" over a comment that isn't. You're purposefully instigating a bad situation.
|2 years 2 weeks ago||I get that you just spend your time on this blog only||
But that's not a reason to say most of the posts in this thread are stupid. If you spent any time on the pay sites you'd realize that the chances of Michigan landing Treadwell are dwindling fast. And they're a lot more in tune with his recruitment than anyone on this site.
|2 years 5 weeks ago||Poggi and Hurst play completely different positions||
Hurst will be a nose tackle and Poggi will be a strongside defensive end/3 tech. They have nothing to do with one another. And Poggi has visited and loved it.
|2 years 12 weeks ago||Yes, he would be||
Michigan's class is full at LB but they've made it clear to him that they're holding a spot for him. Announcing this early has nothing to do with either class filling up. He's just seen everything he needs to see and is making a decision. Your optimism is commendable, but just be careful in setting yourself up for disappointment.
|2 years 12 weeks ago||This is a really juvenile response||
You're reacting out of anger that the kid isn't going to Michigan. He's right, that is recruit speak for "make a big deal out of me". I knew it then too. Please don't pretend like it doesn't happen, b/c it does all the time.
