Went to Aruba last December just before Christmas. It was beautiful. We did find that the cost practically tripled if we had gone between Christmas and New Year. We did an all inclusive with flight for $1400 per person.
I just went on and saw that there are listings and some sold for this upcoming season. It allowed me to go all the way through with posting a listing except I did not hit submit as I prefer to allow electronic delivery and to do so you need the tickets themselves to get the codes off them. The tickets have not yet arrived.

One way to deal with competitive imbalances caused by protected cross-over games in an eight game schedule is to simply not count the cross-over games to determine the division winner.
I know this diminishes the point of having a conference in the first place as the cross-over games essentially become equivalent to non-conference games, but there is still the conference championship and there would still be two games against the other division every year.
As much as I have enjoyed watching Denard achieve all these stats, it has still been frustrating. I think the reason I say that is a good quarterback should make everyone else around him better. Where are the records broken by his RBs or WRs? Granted that may be based on their inabilities, but still there seems to be more Denard needs to show me before I put him on too high of a pedestal.
If he could simply lead his receivers more even on screen passes or throwing it to the correct shoulder or not under or over throwing it, he would be setting them up to succeed. I think I have been spoiled watching the likes of some of our past QBs who were much more accurate ... those who had NFL arms albeit some with lead feet. The reality is that Denard makes us one dimensional, so stop Denard (if you have the athletes to do so) and you stop our offense. Some of this is scheme and the players surrounding Denard, but a lot of it is the need to rely on Denard's legs to make him more effective as a passer.
I have read many comments of people who say they respect the school for exercising its rights even if they disagree with the school. I don't see it quite that way. There is a distinchtion to be made between respect for the existance of a right and respect for someone who chooses (wisely or unwisely) to exercise those rights.
I do not respect any and all idiots who exercise their right of free speech by putting their foot in their mouth. I don't respect the KKK who exercises their right of free speech/assembly. I do not respect the school for exercising its freedom of religious choice by participating in a league where girls may complete against them and then denying those girls and the teams on which they play the opportunity to play in a championship game against them. By doing so they are projecting their beliefs that girls should not compete in boys sports onto all the other teams in their league. Seems to me the other teams in the league should consider whether such bigotry should be tolerated in their league.
I do respect the right of people/organizations to make fools of themselves but I do not have to respect them for exercising those rights.
In fact, that is the same logic behind the right to free speech. People are often very confused as to this and think that if they say something controversial and someone critcizes them for it, that their rights have been violated (Sara Palin is one that does not get this).
I also do not respect Our Lady of Sorrows (she must be in sorrow because she can't play), but understand they are in their rights. I also do not respect the KKK, but understand they have the right of free speech or religious affiliation. Just because they have these rights, does not mean we have to respect them for exercising them.
Your statement that the players would probably prefer to travel to a bowl venue is not a likely scenario. I don't think this is really how a player would think when playing for a national championship.
I would agree that unless a player is in a championship game, they would likely prefer to travel to a bowl game. However, if we are talking about a semifinal game that puts you in the national championship game, what player would not want home field advantage so as to have a much better chance of reaching THE game.
As to one other person's comment about the other bowls becoming consolation games, what are they now?
Why hire a guy who was fired from a mid-major college? Are you suggesting the Pistons hire him to sexually harrass the female employees? He was good as a player but has left a trail of train wrecks in his wake.
Going to 8 games over three weeks at neutral sites would make it tough to fill seats. How many of you go to every bowl game? Would you go to three post season games in one season?
If it goes to 6 or 8, I think you have some home games at least in the inital round.
Although it would seem good to have 4, 6, or 8 teams in the hunt at the end of the year because it is an improvement over what we have now, there will still be plenty of complaining from the bubble teams that just miss out. Not that a team that is ranked 9 really should have a shot at winning the national championship. But then again, look at basketball. We have 68 teams now and we still hear complaints from the bubble teams.
I know there are seasons where a championship game is needed, but looking back to pre-BCS is a playoff or the BCS even needed? LSU already beat Alabama on the road. I am not a fan of a rematch. It is not like the game as at LSU or was early in the season.
How often are there more then two teams that are undefeated or have legitimate claims to the national championship based on the polls? 6 or even 8 teams are not necessary as those extra 2 or 4 teams have no legitimate claim.

I think "go blue" is better than "Hoke Smash" as well. If we want a new longstanding tradition, it should be transcendent of who is coaching at the time. Even if we had the next JoePa, it may not be a good idea.
McCreary was a college QB so probably was big enough to take on a 50+ year old Sandusky.
I also would have beat the s*** out of him and then made sure he went away in cuffs. I certainly would not done nothing seeing him come back on campus with kids after the fact. I would have followed up and asked why he was allowed back on campus with kids. That is practically making everyone who was aware guilty of conspiracy with respect to allowing him around other kids, who may also have been raped. If any kids were raped after McCreary witnessed what he did it is on him. He could have stopped it.
The one thing I noticed that has not yet received comment was that the students got there asses out of bed in the morning. They were all over tailgating and their section was the first one full for a noon game. At the big house our student section is half empty until midway through the first quarter. They were also a bit more active and had more coordinated cheers. Maybe they just take more speed before the games.

I only had one vulgar comment projected my way. Otherwise I thought it was much tamer than I thought it would be. Lots of UM and MSU fans were intermingled at the tailgate parties.
Overall I had a great experience. I am now spoiled with our video screens. Actually our old ones were better than the one State has.
I am 47 and like In the Big House because it is unique to Michigan (and because I otherwise like it). Although I like the song Seven Nation Army and the chant that goes with that, are we not just copying of what Penn State has been doing for some time. Maybe we should copy Wisconsin and do the jump around between the 3rd and fourth quarters?
I am glad to see a band of some renown writing such a song and certainly don't think we should go out of our way to express hatred for it. I think this should be encouraged.
We have a very intelligent fan base and should have a unique game day experience and should not go about copying what other fans do.
One thing we do that is unique in a bad way, however, is chant "you suck" after every failed third down attempt by the opposing team even when we are losing (which hopefully is not often at home). Don't people understand what that says about our team by yelling that an opponent sucks that is beating us? Does that mean we suck more? I guess I just find that to be something that is not very classy ... something that you would find at Ohio or MSU.

Are you projecting him to right or left tackle? Shane Morris is a lefty so his blindspot would be on the right side.

Didn't Ohio get more recruits that were committed to other teams last year than were uncommitted? They took at least three away from Penn State.

Get the bowl ban out of the way this year when they can only hope to play against a MAC team anyway.
