The Alumni Assc has a group that meets at Whitehall Tavern. Been a couple times and its pretty fun. But tonight the couch and non-bar priced rum are calling me.
This now officially puts a terrible 6-6 (6-5 right now with a crushing at Athens left) Georgia Tech team in the ACC championship game. Hopefully they can match last years 6-8 effort from UCLA.
As a new GaTech grad student certainly would be cool to see big ten teams down here. I bet Michigan fans could overwelm Tech's small little stadium. Tech would bring in more of a market in Atlanta than Rutgers would in new york or Maryland in DC. Still not good though. Tech will always lag way behind UGA in terms of marketshare.
I saw them when they came to Detriot a few years. It was the most fun I have ever had a concert. Oh such wonderful banter! The first season of their TV show is one of the funniest things ever produced.
People make a big deal about because they assume (not unreasonably) that all athletes are arrogant pricks. They just can't fathom a well known athlete could say something like that as a joke. They don't know that Denard is one of the nicest guys in sports so they just assume he actually believes this.
How does anyone rank Florida State over Florida. FSU lost to NCState and has beaten Clemson and a bunch of nobodies, while Florida lost to Georgia and beat South Carolina and LSU.
It's not something that can be numbed because numbness is the problem (though I'm sure his elbow hurts like hell). If he pinched the nerve in his elbow, he is not going to have any feeling in his hand and have no ability to control his fingers. I have no idea what kind of treatment exists for this but I can understand why they couldn't put him back in.
I rushed the field last year. It was my last game at Michigan as a student. Obviously Ohio wasn't great last year, but it just so satisfying after everything that happened the last three years. A wonderful release on a beautiful day. Wish I could have been there to do it again.

They are playing in Tropicana Field which is usually a baseball field. You think with 2 months to get ready they could have done a better job.

I'm sure he has not practiced as much as one would want, but at this point he can't possibly be worse. At least he is a strong runner.

Watching him shuffle over to the cart while being half carried by three different trainers was scary. I would be surprised if he is back this year.
And now they just said he is being loaded into an ambulence. Hope he's okay. Always a shame to lose such a talent regardless of who he plays for.
