I found BiSB's decision to lock that thread a little curious.

I understand and endorse the MGoPolicy of letting the kids make their announcements.  However, I thought that was geared more toward guys like Ace who have access to these recruits are often trusted with information that the kids would prefer not be made public.

In this case, though, I assume the OP was linking to an article that someone unaffiliated with MGoBlog published.  To me, this falls under the category of talking about rumors/speculation/hearsay that are relevant to Michigan.  If the mods shut down every thread that speculated about the commitment timeline of Treadwell, Green, or any other recruit, I dread what the offseason topics on the boards would consist of.

That said, I am certain BiSB's intentions were good.  Again, just not sure how the Ferns situation is different from any of the other recruits.

Hanging out with a Florida commit was not newsworthy, but telling several reporters that he planned to visit Florida definitely was.  He knew that doing so would mean he no longer had a guaranteed spot in Michigan’s class.  So, even if he didn’t say he was thinking of decommitting, his actions indicated otherwise.  There was also a report of Bosch saying that Dawson had discussed decommitting.

Fortunately, he thought better of that trip and realized he wants to be part of the class, which is great.  But I don’t think it’s accurate to claim “nothing to see here.”

Victory Prima Pils...I was told it was a quality Pilsener alternative to the mass market counterparts.



It's OK, but not worth the price premium. Seems like their differentiating feature is to throw more hops at it, which mostly makes it a poor substitute for an IPA.
