"Northwestern fans can be both heartened and disheartened by the loss to Minnesota just like how nineteenth-century resurrectionists were heartened when they pried a heart from a freshly-buried corpse and then disheartened it when they sold it to a disreputable anatomist."

EMU move the ball vs. MSU? They had literally 1 yard of offense at halftime...

Wish they had this shit when I was there. GG Brown was kind of a dump.

Cottage Inn is way better than Dominos and is high quality, i.e., not just in it to make a buck, I think the answer is clear.

Fire hoke. Borges>>Nuss. Gardner is chode. I love Bolivia. Fuck sports and fuck you all.
|8 weeks 1 day ago||Agreed||
Don't play unless the position group is struggling or injuries pop up.

It's not like there has been a plethora of interesting tidbits in the past day or two either.

If there's one thing I'll miss about Borges, it's his pressers.
|9 weeks 6 days ago||Have lived there for 3 years||
Really is a great city but the two drawbacks you list are the two I'd list. There's great food (and great cheap eats), there's a great bar scene with a number of different areas each with their own style, there are always some sort of fun events going on, there's of course the music which includes a number of festivals and good local music, there are good movie theaters, and then the most surprising to me was all of the outdoor and water related activities. Now if food, music, and hiking, swimming, etc. aren't high on your list, I think you would be missing out on some of the best that Austin has to offer. Regardless, it has a nice big city feel without being too big and has good people from all over. Housing is going up quickly but still much better than DC, NYC, or California. I think it's unlikely I'll spend my life here with the heat and being a northerner at heart, but if I were to spend my life south of the Mason Dixon line, it would be here.

is that mags, braden, and glasgow will be first team.

Brandon clearly trying to drum up hype, not that I am complaining.

I didn't even know there was a new one but I bet it's horrible. Neg away.

Have you watched him play? Borges would have made a disaster out of Braxton's pretty poor arm.
|25 weeks 1 day ago||What a chode||
|27 weeks 6 days ago||WOOOO||
|47 weeks 1 day ago||Playcalling||
Playcalling seemed okay, certainly not great, but at least decent by Borges standards. But blocking still horrible, Gardner is a mess, WRs dropped a number of big passes. It's just a clownshow. So it doesn't really matter to me whether it's the playcalling or not. Either way the offense is a disaster and Borges simply needs to go.
|48 weeks 1 day ago||What if||
What if Gallon missed some practice, or Gardner, or Lewan, or Ryan, or Clark? Do you think they wouldn't play? Seems like Hoke would have phrased things differently if he simply wanted to say Fitz couldn't play because of injury.
|48 weeks 3 days ago||My question too||
esp since Brian's a big DFW fan.
|49 weeks 1 day ago||Hypothetical||
Hypothetical: Say you're a fan of this team and you pay a lot of money each year to see them play. This team has shown for 1.5 years absolute ineptitude at running the football. Now say you're in a tight game and get a critical turnover deep in the opponent's territory. You've had some success passing the ball and you're averaging about 1 ypc on rush attempts over the last game and a half. Well, naturally your offensive coordinator dials up two straight runs to set up 3rd and nine. You go on to kick a field goal and end up losing by 4.
Now say this is essentially a pattern for three years. Does the fan have any legitimate gripe or should s/he just be happy that they could experience such an event because in someways it was legitimately mind blowing?
|49 weeks 1 day ago||Great||
Irrelevant. My post was not on how best to contact DB, it was on whether fans should feel any justification in being upset in the program or whether they should always just always feel blessed. You're right though, I'm sure DB would take my call.
|49 weeks 1 day ago||In that||
In that case. Give Borges a raise and increase ticket prices! This is Michigan fergodsakes. Can't wait for App State next year. #wow
|49 weeks 1 day ago||I hate arguments||
I hate arguments that suggest fans don't deserve anything -- that they should just be happy and feel blessed to attend a game in the big house. In reality, people pay serious money to attend these games. I'm not defending booing the team, I wouldn't personally boo unless there were a way to isolate my boos directly for Borges' ears, but nevertheless, this is a business. Fans pay for a product. If no changes are made to the coaching staff, plus the worst home slate in history and increasing prices, I think fans have rights to complaints. It doesn't make them entitled assholes, it makes them people who wonder whether a plane ticket and a $100 ticket is worth watching nonsense. At least we have a new digital billboard outside the stadium.
