True, and he's played in hostile environments before. HOWEVA, just a few weeks of actual practice in a new system and chemistry with new teammates makes that a scary thought still. This one probably should be down to about Utah -2.5 or -3 during game week.

Harbaugh didn't give Colin much, but Cowherd frequently didn't even give him a chance to answer his uninteresting questions.

It's actually refreshing to see one of top 5 guys properly valued during his prime. The problem with NBA contracts historically is that stars tend to be underpaid until they get off their rookie extensions at age 27-30 and sign a long term max deal they're rarely worth by the end.

I'd bet only reason Trey is moved to Miami is for cap relief. Heat are looking to move Chris Andersen and Mario Chalmers to free up additional money to offer Dwyane Wade and Goran Dragic and mitigate their tax bill. Burke would compete for backup PG duties with Shabazz Napier, not an ideal situation for him.

THJ didn't blow the doors off, but how can you say he got worse? His efficiency dropped a little, but playing alongside such an inept roster can do that to you. Nobody is confusing him to be a 20 point scorer anyway. His destiny on a contending team is as a scoring wing off the bench, although his ceiling would rise if he can improve as a defender (not counting on it).
His streaky jumper and athleticism in the open floor are at least NBA-level, which is more than can be said of Burke's skillset thus far. It would be extremely beneficial for THJ to get moved to a better organization where he can learn from a veteran coach and successful wing players.

That potential young core would be interesting:
PG - Jackson
The Josh Smith cap hit is a tough pill to swallow (despite being a good move), but with so many key players on rookie deals, there should be space to bolster the bench.

Sorry about that. Any Wolverines under 30 didn't really get to experience that group. Woodson is my other one. My personal Michigan memories start in about 2000 watching games with my dad. I was hooked for life in 2004 by Braylon.

|5 weeks 5 days ago||This is actually the only||
This is actually the only part that puts any fear in me. A lot of those coaches DO know the Midwest and might be a little better up there than we give them credit for. BUT it's inarguable that there is more to gain for the Big Ten to make inroads in the South than the SEC in the Midwest.
|7 weeks 5 days ago||Chris Webber is the best||
Chris Webber is the best player to ever lace them up for Michigan (Cazzie's day notwithstanding). Webber doesn't care at all about Michigan at this point. Jalen has tried to mend things for at least 15 years. Jalen loves Michigan and only wants his brother back and his (and the rest of the fab five's) time in Ann Arbor remembered. I'm siding with Jalen every time.
|7 weeks 6 days ago||It hurts Jalen that his time||
It hurts Jalen that his time at his alma mater has been effectively erased by the university. He loves Michigan, supports the program, and promotes it whenever possible in spite of this.

He did get a game, obviously lacks the gravity of a playoff game, but he will serve his suspension next season. Needless to say I'm sick of all the injuries this year. No one has a chance against Golden State in a 7 game series right now.

Chuck, Kenny, and Shaq all said it best. It's playoff basketball. Love's arm bar initiated the battle for the ball. Yes, Olynyk ends up fouling Love obviously, but it's bananas to believe that in the scrum Kelly decided hey let's try to pull Love's shoulder out of his socket.

Tell that to LSU. 7 win team or 12 win team, that place is bananas and a tough place for any for at night.

Grew up in Florida, now live in Chicago. I don't claim to know the exact distribution of season ticket holders' respective distance to travel to games, but once a year isn't a big ask imo. If you have a four hour drive why would noon games be any better? Barely have a chance to tailgate unless you wake up at 5 or earlier
|10 weeks 5 days ago||Night games aren't special||
Night games aren't special because they are rare. Of course the first one was, but in general night games are defined by a unique energy that cannot be replicated at noon. Cold weather worries are a reasonable excuse to not play at night in November, but not playing one or two night games every year to showcase the program, impress recruits, and add a little intensity to the home field advantage is silly.

Until companies like Comcast provide excellent, reliable internet for perfect streaming, this new pay-per-channel direction cable may be taking is disconcerting.

It's unrealistic to believe every spot would be taken anyways. Guys like Donnal and MAAR could transfer for PT. Someone could blow up into an NBA prospect. Another year of bench mob time could be the end of Hatch's playing career with a medical scholarship. Too early to make any judgements here.

Hot take alert, but this kid might be our best case scenario. One more year of Caris probably doesn't end up with a Big Ten title or deep tournament run after seeing the team last year. Brown would be excellent for Beilein's future recruiting, but would probably be only a year. This kid seems to have instant impact potential as well as a likely 3 or 4 year career ahead of him. I'd love Brown or to keep Caris, but this kid coming to AA might be best for the program.

Seniors (yes I know he'd be a young senior) need to be extremely impressive to be lottery picks. The reasonable outlook for him is to be a more secure 1st rounder and the guaranteed contract that comes with it.
