Coaches' timeouts are worse. Basketball teams should get one, full stop.

The battle between tradition and home field advantage really is fascinating.

By this logic we might as well throw away the 2013 Final Four banner though. Take away a couple free throws from a far worse human being than any of the fab five and 1989 has the same banner.

How someone could hate Jalen makes no sense to me. He did nothing wrong, LOVES Michigan, and just wishes Michigan gave two shits about him.

Did you watch tonight? 15 wins is no foregone conclusion with another road game and two home games against desperate bubble teams.

This. I think expanding the lower bowl would be most helpful for the Penn State/Northwestern/Nebraska type games. If double the students got good seats, fewer people would blow the game off to watch on tv. Plus, having more students close to the action in a more unified block of seats would bolster the environment for these games that can sometimes have the intensity of a tennis match.

In a perfect world, DB revamps seating this offseason to bolster the environment and better match the Izzone at Breslin (who get 1,400 lower bowl seats). My plan (below) would probably not quite match that total, but would just about double the Maize Rage presence near the court to 1,200.

You make some good points, but part of being a premier program is acting like it. Perception is reality in college sports, and the more Michigan basketball behaves like the bluebloods (Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke, etc.) the more it will become one of them. Obviously if Michigan rolled out a new seating plan emphasizing students in the lower bowl prior to the 10-11 season it would've been a complete flop.
That being said, revamping the student seating would almost definitely spur demand even more. Also, it's important for entering freshmen to perceive basketball as a hot ticket and also be pleased with the student section experience. It's difficult when only 650 out of 3000 get the full experience, especially for the non marquee games.

Try $40 per game. I'm a senior and I think they were $28 my freshman year. I get that DB is aware that students have been selling premium games for huge profits, but $40 to see Akron and Central is crazy (even for Indiana and Minnesota). I was physically injured and unable to attend most of the games so I had to try and sell my tickets. Couldn't find a $10 buyer for Akron this year.

I am a student (departing senior). I posted this. Explain the upside of attending noon games against terrible teams. What plenty of students see is an expected boring blowout.

UCLA and Texas would be front runners. Other visits to Clemson, Georgia, and Miami. As an elite 17 year old athlete, the main criteria are NFL chances, fit with staff, and weather/women. Academics push UCLA and Texas to be the initial favorites.

Durant is doing it for a top seeded team without his running mate. Kobe took a million shots to get Smush Parker the 8 seed. It always matters more if you're winning.

Comments taken out of context. Jalen loves Michigan and has always been upset that it doesn't seem like Michigan loves him back. Webber took some money, but the rest of the Ed Martin scandal centered on players after the fab five. Fact is, Michigan basketball is very awkward in celebrating former players. This was not an attack on the current coaching staff at all, but one against the athletic department and administration.

Why people get upset about the "accuracy" of such prognosticators I don't understand. Bracketology is an assessment of resumes to forecast what the tournament would like if the season ended. It's meant to get clicks and create interest and dialogue amongst fans. Lunardi prides himself on the "accuracy" of his final bracket, but if the early season guessing bothers you just don't read it.

KenPom has sent all other metrics to Bolivia, but we are 19th there. Personally I think we need a top 25 win first. What do you know we have three chances in a row. Win one and give lose tight in the other and I think we'll be in after a couple more wins in the next "ice cream" part of the schedule. Or win 2 or 3 and we're in immediately.

For all the hardos bitching about Skyrim's difficulty, have y'all tried the game on Legendary? It's absolutely brutal, especially as a melee character.

A great coach can change everything, obviously, and the bottom line is in perception. Stanford is in its 4th BCS bowl in a row, MSU hasn't been there since 87. For South Carolina, the top half of SEC schools are all major jobs nowadays. For all the wins Dantonio has put up the last few years, I honestly think this year's team is the only one that deserves a ton of national respect.

We had a lousy year, but our 4 losses other than Michigan State were very close too (total of 11 points). So honestly that's just dumb to say. Losing 7 games by less than a TD would be an incredible stroke of bad luck.

I'm sure he's a great guy and was a good coach a decade ago, but it really would be nice if Fred Jackson left. I know every indication is that he doesn't intend to retire, but we could use someone who, you know, develops running backs.

Just a response to him saying A is easier to win than F when Brazil is a stone cold lock to win A. But obviously Brazil, Spain, Argentina, and Germany are teams that merely drawing would be a dream result.
