The NCAA could respond by expelling all Mississippi schools.
|6 days 15 hours ago||The central coast counties||
The central coast counties are interesting because their coastal areas (or at least the rare inhabitable parts) resemble some of the less built-up parts of the bay area or the SoCal coast, while the inland areas (Salinas, Paso Robles, Santa Maria, etc) have more in common with the San Joaquin valley.

Tom Holmoe, a BYU grad and the current athletic director at BYU, was Cal's head coach from 1997 to 2001.

Having lived in both (4 years in Berkeley, 9 in AA) I have to agree. Ann Arbor is your basic quaint college town. Berkeley is...interesting.
|2 weeks 15 hours ago||the only guaranteed win is Rutgers||
Cincinnati - not a pushover
Air Force - their option gives most teams fits
@Purdue - on the road, they may be improved
MSU - has had our number, should bounce back a bit
@Indiana - we usually struggle there, trap game between MSU and PSU
Minnesota - usually plays us close, often beats us
@Maryland - see Purdue
Ask me about any of these games individually, I think we win. But I'd be surprised if we sweep them. MSU, Indiana, and Minnesota look to be the most worrisome, and you can never sleep on Air Force.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||sounds about right for the offense||
QB play should improve, which should roughly make up for the loss of so many receivers and linemen.
I think the defense takes a step back, probably about to where it typically was under Hoke. The starting DL should be excellent, but the rotation guys are unproven. The back 7 will have McCray and...a lot of guys who should be serviceable but didn't make much impact this year.
I think 9-3 with 2-2 in the 4 toughest games (Fla, @PSU, @Wis, OSU) and 7-1 in the others would be a good result.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||lol yourself||
Sure, we were 3-3 in those games, but the 3 wins were all decisive and the 3 losses all agonizingly close.
The 2004 team really was not that good. In addition to losing to ND, we lost miserably to OSU and pulled out home wins against mediocre Minnesota and MSU teams by the skin of our teeth. Our point differential was just +91 compared to +341 this year.
The 1999 team was not that special either. We got cuffed around by MSU in a game that wasn't as close as the score, and followed it up by losing at home to a mediocre Illinois team. We beat OSU, but they were terrible that year. Our point differential was +114.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||I was at UM from 98-04||
This year's team would have beaten any of those teams at least 6 times out of 10, and probably all but the 2003 team 8 times out of 10.

He has the program in the best shape since probably the 1970s. The last two years have been memorable mostly for the painful losses, but we missed the playoff by the slimmest possible margin this year. With Harbaugh's track record in recruiting and player development I think we'll be in good shape to contend for the playoff more often than not. Probably not in 2017, though.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||he got burned by 6 yards||
The safety should have been there, but that was the single worst play I have ever seen Lewis make.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||he might well have stopped that 3rd and 22 run||
Without that play, M probably wins.

"I don't know what you're talking about" is a more polite way of saying 'grow up' or 'f**k off'.

I hope she plays every game with them.
Looks like she swings a mean bat too.

Hope he winds up somewhere where he can start on the field and get a good graduate degree off of it.

Everything seems ok, and then...
|11 weeks 2 days ago||why couldn't AT have just taken a knee...||
after he crossed the first down line?
And why couldn't we move the ball at all in the second half against the Boilers after going right through them every time in the first half?
|11 weeks 2 days ago||but they won all 3 of those||
OU's offense is legit, and OSU went into their house and beat them by 3 TDs. But as we've seen from OSU's last few weeks, hanging 45 on OU is like hanging 30 on an average B1G defense.
|11 weeks 5 days ago||let's hope so||
but last year we thought we'd have our Indiana issues taken care of by OSU, and we didn't.
|11 weeks 5 days ago||it wasn't a fake comeback||
With about 2:30 left it was 30-17 and MSU had a first down at our 18 and 2 time outs. At that point they were absolutely still in the game. Their last TD was cosmetic, but it was still disappointing to see our starting defense give it up.
|11 weeks 5 days ago||he just has a short memory||
The OSU game last season wasn't that long ago.
|11 weeks 5 days ago||more like 30% of the game||
The first 7 minutes, and the last 11. This was still our worst performance of the year by a wide margin.
|11 weeks 5 days ago||2nd half||
We didn't really start to go bad until after our FG. From that point we had 1 first down and 3 punts. MSU had 4 long drives, 2 for TDs, 1 for a missed FG, and 1 where they turned it over on downs. Over that period, they outgained us 227-41.
|11 weeks 5 days ago||MSU ran 70 plays||
Doesn't sound like much, but it's a lot more than our first string is used to seeing.
|11 weeks 5 days ago||what happened to Lewis in the second half?||
He had a great first half. Then in the second he was nowhere near the play on the arm-punt that extended MSU's drive to make it 30-17, then he got a PI call and got lost on the one throw to the end zone.
The defense on the whole was horrific today except in short yardage situations.
|12 weeks 5 days ago||this||
Their defense was bad last year, and they lost all of their better players including DeForest Buckner. They don't have the talent and experience to be good this year in any case.
|16 weeks 21 hours ago||rec'd for Austria-Hungary||
Switch the fear ratings of Maryland and Illinois, though. Maryland has played ok this year. Illinois has been terrible.

He'll just run right past him and kill the guy with the ball.
|16 weeks 5 days ago||pretty much||
Wisconsin's O is meh but their D is legit, and Sparty's O isn't nearly as good as ND's leaky D made it look.
|17 weeks 2 days ago||I don't see anyone blowing LSU out||
Their defense is too good. They could slip past Bama with a few breaks.
