The fact that the victim was able to write such a detailed account of what occurred during her ptsd related panic attack makes me think she is probably exaggerating a little. Either way, hopefully mentally she and the dog are okay and are able to return to campus and continue to be as independent as they were.
These two dudes probably didn't give a shit and think they can do whatever the fuck they want on campus. After all the impending negativity, punishment and embarassment they will probably face, hopefully they will actually learn something and be able to change for the better.

I won't make excuses for injuries, and Beilein won't either - I like that.
I also think these guys played well tonight. Little things here and there that our guys do well and don't do well. Most notably though, end of game defense - need to work on that full court press more so we're not giving up decent half court looks with a few seconds left. Those go in sometimes, and it sucks when they do. Also - WTF inbounding? Does not look like this is something we practice.
Not sure about the late game offense. By late game, I mean regulation only. Overtime offense does not exist. I think the lack of any offensive sets being run in the last few regulation possessions help create the nosedive we've fallen into during overtimes.

The injuries and losses to graduation/NBA have really taken a toll this season.
Beilein and the staff HAVE to recruit better. McGary was a huge get for us, but we haven't really seen any uptick from the final four run which is really frustrating. I get that we're looking for high character guys, but a one and done player isn't the end of the world.
It's not the end of the world this year, the guys we have will be here a few more years and will develop and get better, I just wonder why the coaches are so patient (which is great) when they don't have to be.

It's funny to think what Schlissel and Hackett 's meetings must be like. On one hand you have Hackett, who has worked in the office furniture business for 30 years and on the other you have Schlissel, an Ivy League stalwart with a phd in physiological chemistry. After they are done talking about AD business, what kind of subjects do they make small talk about? Chairs? Microscopes?
Let's hope this doesn't turn into another sitcom.

|1 year 3 weeks ago||Unbelievable to me that||
Unbelievable to me that people still complain about the students not showing up or leaving early. Sure it was mostly empty in the top of the student section, but it was noticably empty near the top of most sections and that was even more apparent after the half. It was cold, more cold than most expected. Season tickets were expensive (and prices were raised, thanks dave) for a fairly bad schedule and sales were down. This has not been a successful season, Michigan hasn't been great in quite some time. The following that some of the older fans have just isn't there right now.
I do believe that with a new AD and the right hire of a new coach, things can change fast. There is talent on that football team, it just is not being recognized, utilized properly or developed. Just an epic failure all around by this coaching staff. A good staff will be able to make it work and ease the pain of what looks like will be an off year in recruiting. They should lower prices even more than what DB promised as a show of good faith.
|1 year 3 weeks ago||People care about Michigan||
People care about Michigan athletics, so much that even when they absolutely suck they still get more coverage than an extremely successful team in East Lansing. If they feel this way, the athletes should NEVER call it The Big House because it's muggles and even others who never even went to the damn school paying to be there.
I really don't believe that many athletes feel that way. I've noticed David Brandon has had a ton of support from the a) super rich donors and b) the successful alums involved in the media. He was probably a huge suck up and catered to their every need. I could definitely see him kind installing a culture among the athletic campus that they were the true and visible ambassadors to the University. That is true to an extent, but if you continually force that view on people it can turn negative fast.
I'm definitely glad he's gone but I do think that some of the facility improvements yet to be completed that he had a huge hand in will help ease the negativity on his short legacy. It is very ironic that all those mentions he made of a full overhaul of the student IM building never panned out....

They could definitely negotiate a resignation scenario where Hoke gets the 2015 buyout money now at the benefit of the program. Could probably make a package to pay Brandon a little less too to part ways now. They won't take it, and it is a lot of money to just leave on the table, but based on all their talk about their love for Michigan, etc. you'd think they would. They don't care about anything but the money at this point.
The way Hoke has apologized to Dantonio for this stupid stake incident shows me a level of weakness that you never want out of a leader. It's almost like he's trying to show everyone that even though he is a terrible coach, he is still a "good man" so that he can get hired doing something after he's done @ Michigan.
Whatever happens, that money they save by keeping this circus going should definitely be put RIGHT back in to the new coaching staffs salary. BEST AVAILABLE coaching staff with experience winning/developing players in the NFL or top tier of college football (BCS). Knowledge of the Michigan tradition? Former Player? Those two things are great, but not necessary. No point in getting all excited for Harbaugh or Miles when realistically neither of them are coming.

The players seem to be getting worse as time goes on. We have a true freshman starting at left tackle because his technique and ability haven't been destroyed by our terrible offensive line coach yet. This is a coaching staff meant for a lower tier of football, they are not capable of taking some of the most talented high school players to the next level.
I hope they do decide to play Morris (and even Bellomy, Speight can redshirt), because whether Hoke is here or not next season, those guys will definitely will be and it just seems like a good decision for the program going forward.
Where did our screen game go? Roll outs? Screens to Norfleet were moving the ball great @ ND. QB roll outs seem like a no brainer with our struggling offensive line and athletic quarterback. I liked your special teams points. Lost in all the struggles and failures on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, are the fact that our special teams have become pretty mediocre and predictable. Punters pride themselves in havng an arsenal of different punts. Different punts can provide different advantages in different situations. Sorry for the "different" usage. Just would like to see something new in the kickoff/punt and return game. Though, we probably have bigger problems to worry about, like rushing the ball for positive yardage and having yards gained be greater than the number of attempts. Lol is this really happening?

Mattison rarely brings pressure this season and it really hurts us because our defensive line is not good. Cook made bad throws/threw out of bounds (once for int. grounding) on the few ocassions we did bring pressure. Also, maybe the DBs could do some WR drills this week and learn how to CATCH THE DAMN BALL.
|2 years 3 weeks ago||Hoke is failing at the one||
Hoke is failing at the one thing he is supposed to be good at. Delegating tasks and making great picks for his assistants. Seems like he's been doing that for so long and letting them run the show during the games that even if he decided to put the headset on he wouldn't be able to do anything anyway. Not to mention, the defensive line is not very good, but that has a lot to do with Mattison rarely bringing much pressure and doing so at strange times.
It's hard to be patient when you see teams like Auburn, UCLA, A&M rising again. Auburn just won a NC but they were bad with Chizik in the years after Newton. Can't help but think that we took a pretty big risk with RichRod and then went safe with Hoke and now it's just like WTF. I do want Borges and Funk gone, but also then realize we have no one to really call plays because our head coach certainly won't be able to given that he is a defensive coach. That's a pretty big problem to me,
|2 years 3 weeks ago||Really?||
|2 years 3 weeks ago||There's nothing wrong with||
There's nothing wrong with being delusional and having unrealistic expectations of your team. Four years in Ann Arbor does that to a lot of people. It's not their fault. I'm guilty of it too. It's just part of the machine and zombie nature that fills that stadium and fuels this very blog. Calling for a coaches head? After the season we've had? It's not a big deal. Hoke can do/say what he wants, but his loyalty and defensiveness of protecting his coaching staff speaks volumes.
I don't believe the OP is done, he just wanted to write something that had some Shock Value in the title. Are you really done? Then next saturday, turn the fuse box off, sit on the couch and read a book. You'll last 10 minutes before you flip the switch. We both know it. I do agree with you about our punting. Coaches don't give Wile an opportunity to show off his skill. He really is a jack of all trades kind of punter, I'd like to see that more. Dan Ferrigno is our special teams coach, who's been pretty bad the past couple years. It seems that we have bigger problems, though.
|2 years 3 weeks ago||Will not blame players, ever.||
Will not blame players, ever. Limited to 20 hours a week, coaches cannot expect fresman to pick up complicated schemes on either side of the ball. You forget how much talent is on this roster. DG was the #1 ranked dual threat QB a few years back. Where's Green? Kalis and Magnuson? We aren't missing in our evaluation, our coaches are just awful. Mallory, Funk, Borges, Hoke & Mattison (DL? No pressure until it didnt matter) MSU has it right defensively, simple packages executed to perfection. Borges is slowly pushing my anger towards Hoke, who is allowing this to continue, week after week. Head(set) less. They've already destroyed Devin Gardner, putting him in a bad system set to fail, then making him seem like he's the problem so that now his decision making is all out of whack. Throwing Shane Morris into a lose lose situation on 4th down was even more disturbing to me. Just punt it or at least put Cleary in there. You can do some major damage to a QB's confidence on the road in that kind of environment. (Bellomy, anyone?) Hoke needs to make some changes to this coaching staff ASAP. This isn't a wait till the end of the season kind of thing. Of course, we have a situation where our OC is also our QB coach, so making a change would likely make things worse.
If Hoke can somehow still get a committment from Hand and keep the one from Peppers, he should really be untouchable, because obviously he is a Jedi. *Waves hand* You will commit to Michigan.
|2 years 6 weeks ago||I can now say with 100%||
I can now say with 100% certainty that whatever Borges coached Denard to do, Denard just disregarded it and said, "Ok, whatever you say coach," and then just went on the field and did his thing.
Borges only knows one type of offense, and the game has passed him by, even at the NFL level. When he tries to be creative and innovative, he fails miserably. He's better off just sticking to what he knows, even if that would neutralize Devin's running ability.
The struggles this season BETTER pay dividends next season, when Morris can step in with a complete knowledge of the offense and confidence behind an experienced and highly regarded offensive line. I understand Devin has another year left, but I am assuming Morris will beat him out of the job next season because he fits the offense Borges is trying to implement.
Also, special teams? Do our coaches practice blocking schemes on returns? Tackling?

Mattison is doing dumb things like rushing 3, yet he does what is necesscary when the game is on the line. They are young and getting better, yet I'd like to see the coaches actually teach our ends and LBs to, you know, rip and swim inside so their aggressive rush doesn't take them right out of the play. This is the best unit on our squad.
Borges...sigh. An inside screen to Devin Funchess? Like really? Even my girlfriend was like, why is there such a large man getting the ball so close to all the other large men? A QB rollout would be nice? You know, to offset out struggling OL and take advantage of Devin's speed ability to improvise with his WR/TEs. Borges sucks, plain and simple. Needs to go.
Special Teams have not gotten any better since Hoke has been here. I don't think we've had a kick or punt return for a TD since he's been here. We keep saying Norfleet is going to break one...he has the ability...he does not have the blocking or the coaching to learn how to follow them.Coverage has left a lot to be desired. Kicking? Gibbons reverted back to the RichRod struggles. Also he is now 240 pounds. That blocked kick on us was just a complete lack of effort on the line thinking the game was done. I don't think Ferrigno is doing anything.
Gardner is also not good, but I believe it is Borges destroying him with stupid playcalls and personnel on the field. Also, he needs to look at the god damn playclock.
Hoke needs to make a change, and if he doesn't? I don't even want to go there. Just do it.

Ahh, Michigan Athletics taking a page out of American Airlines' playbook. Nice, can I get bumped up to a club seat @ a better game?
Not giving people what they paid for is not good. Not compensating them over and above what was initially promised (almost like saying sorry) is like a slap in the face saying we don't care. Especially to students. "College" basketball, right? I'd expect the AD to hear a ton of negative backlash and eventually spin this into some kind of positive. Maybe a lottery? Winners get their tickets as promised but those not picked get a sweeter deal to maybe a few select games (tickets/travel to Puerto Rico or NCAA Tournament)? and giveaways. Jerseys, basketballs, club seats - whatever, just not the M-Den Teddy Bear
I hope they remembered to reserve seating for the Band. Then again, I also heard it might be too expensive to transport the band from Reveli to Crisler. =)

|2 years 10 weeks ago||Akron will probably do okay||
Akron will probably do okay in the MAC this season, and are a lot better than what most think.Pretty good coaching staff, Chuck Amato being their D Coordinator helped, he has a hell of a resume. (http://gozips.com/sports/fball/2013-14/coaches/index) Let's hope they win the MAC this year with the influx of transfers that had to sit out last season. Struggle justified.
It really doesn't matter, though. Hoke did bring up the transfers they have and probably thought we would struggle a little bit in the beginning, face some adversity and have some leadership step up (especiallly on defense) on the way to win. But, uh, that was a little too close for comfort. Hiccups happen, and I'd much rather have a hiccup against a non-BigTen team. Even with a loss against Akron, all the goals are still in sight. Embarassment? Sure, but whatever.

I never understood why a guy like Woodson hasn't written a book about how he manages to stick around and play at such a high level for so long, even after injuries. It's a ton of work, discipline, diet and drive - but I'd be extremely interested in the details.
|2 years 10 weeks ago||Great read. Devin should get||
Great read. Devin should get benched with another performance like that. Hoke needs to make a point. And also, Hoke needs to get a god damn headset when his defensive staff is failing him and to tell Borges stop obsessing about a passing game and run the damn ball out of the god damn I with two TEs AND a fullback. They are Akron, we are Michigan. Size vs. size, we win. (I know it's a little naive to say that, but 80% of the time it works)
Devin can only learn so much, it seems like Borges is just dumping too many complicated schemes that he's learned from his long career on him. When you try to do too many things, you won't do anything well. Devin might rebound the next couple weeks, but until Borges puts a solid offensive gameplan against a good team (win not required) he will be a target of criticism. South Carolina in the Outback Bowl was the best we've seen thus far, and that left a lot to be desired.
|2 years 10 weeks ago||With no time outs, I||
With no time outs, I understand you can't take a knee or fall, because the clock would keep running. Is your kicker that bad he needs to have the ball centered? When the game is on the line, spike the damn ball and hope your kicker practices from all angles. Stave did something the refs probably have never seen before, and the way they handled it was basically by the book. It is not on Stave though, someone told him to center the ball.

Gardner will have plenty of chances to make people forget about that. He really has to start racking up the TDs and eliminating the INTs against the next two cupcakes. Getting Chesson going and hoping Gallon will continue to rack up yards will help his numbers. Pad the stats now and you essentially buy yourself a bad game when you play better competition.
The real question is WTF do you do when he's wearing 98 to honor Michigan's first Heisman winner in Tom Harmon only to become Michigan's fourth Heisman winner! I hope Dave Brandon doesn't get a good night's sleep until December 14!!

Bellomy has a tough road ahead. He could have Gardner (hope so!) and Morris in front of him next season and then Morris (and Speight, if the best QBs will play/backup policy continues) thereafter. The one thing that might be in his favor is that he can probably run a little bit better than Morris.
|2 years 10 weeks ago||I like Sumlin's ability to||
I like Sumlin's ability to mask weaknesses on offense by moving the pocket (and great WR blocking downfield, which we are so used to) and DC Snyder's ability to build a solid gameplan. I imagine Alabama will get their yards on the ground, but they'll really challenge McCarron to throw it in tight windows. Alabama has been less than impressive (well, for ALABAMA standards), especially at OL, and Kyle Field is going to be rocking. The bye week before is great, but I think an OL needs game reps to gel. I think the wild card is Jones for Alabama returning on special teams. He had two special teams TDs in week1 against VT, a game they won 35-10.
I think A&M will win 34-30.

I have a feeling Tressel is going to be meeting with Bowden, his staff and players this week and maybe will give them some advice, strategy, motivation, etc. They have a guy on campus who was dominant against Michigan, so it makes sense. Also, RichRod is pretty friendly with the Bowden family.
Maybe I'm just trying to find ways to make this game more interesting? If Tressel is really being considered to be president of Akron, it would be nice to drop 80 on them.

I really don't understand why they couldn't just stick a 98 with a Harmon underneath it on the facade of one of the two structures. Do the same for every other "special" number. Might be a blessing in disguise for Tipton. Less carries in college usually means more carries later on that you can get paid for. Obviously that requires you are drafted, but CMU is good for a couple of NFL players every few years and this kid made it on a Doak Walker watch list from a MAC school. Surgery, rehab and then maybe share carries next season with whoever breaks out in his absence. With a freshman QB, they might have worn him out this season.

Then again, they might fully intend on playing Morris this year and getting him some snaps in the second half (who am I kidding, second QUARTER) against CMU. I would guess the wildcat option would be Fitz.

Drummond has a ton of potential, but they didn't play him enough last season to develop, and who knows what they'll do this season. Beckmann is an idiot too.) I think him leaving that position sucks because they were a perfect fit. He was just exactly what I'd expect Ohio State to have as a President; An arrogant jerk who's unfiltered mouth consistently makes him look like an idiot.
He did do some pretty unique things at Vanderbilt and I think he ends up going back to Colorado to fix their AD and raise money.

We can sit here and criticize the coaches and players, but in the end, David Stern is the problem. He will latch on to the great player and/or coach, help them along a successful career (championships, MVPs, $$) and reap the benefits. MJ/Phil, Shaq/Kobe/Phil, Lebron. Notice how when he didn't have that star, the league struggled. He basically ruined college basketball with his one year rule. "Why should teams have to take the risk of getting a kid out of high school, let's see how they handle college for a year." Now, the NBA playoffs are really just a "start watching at game 5" deal. Yes, I am aware the Lakers got swept, but that controversy argubly created more headlines for one of the most popular teams in sports. The refs call the games knowing that more games equal more money for the league.
For the one benefit or making trade of goods easier, money is a terrible thing. Add an advanced brain that innately conceptualizes hoarding and greed and it just ruins everything.

Those players and the program went through a significant penalty, the kind of penalty that you don't really see handed down today. The fact that we made it all the way back says quite a bit about Michigan. I think college athletes should be paid, and with the money the Fab Five players generated, they probably have should have been paid a lot more than what they actually took. People blame Martin and Webber, but no one even looks at Schembechler or Weidenbach, who were the primary ADs during the era (I think Roberson might have came in once it already was known). They were there, around the team, in the locker room, and ignored it. God forbid anyone spread the blame to the two guys with their names on significant athletic buildings. Accountability goes both ways.

This is huge. Get legitimate indoor & outdoor track & field facilities along with an overhaul of Cliff Keen and we'll be right there with Stanford every year. When the stars align, we'll take em out.

Unless he thinks Gardner will dominate this year and head to the NFL and then he'll be able to beat out Morris. That's too many ifs. Whatever, let him come check out our program and when he ends up at WVU we can tell that we're even.

I wish they had statistics in news/media so you could keep track of who broke what story first and if their information ended up being accurate, incomplete, etc. You could come up with a reliability index for major outlets. I just see too much garbage to get clicks and be the first to break. Being realistic, even if something like this was created I don't think any major news organization would accept it because most of them are doing just fine without any oversight or ethics.
|2 years 32 weeks ago||I'm pretty sure he'll come||
I'm pretty sure he'll come back. His dad is a scout for Miami and knows exactly what Tim needs to work on and I forsee him finally getting back into coaching his son. He knows that his son playing (and being the face/leader of) a top 10 college team will get him more exposure than sitting on a pro-bench or even playing untelevised games in a place like Idaho for the NBADL. Unless Hardaway Sr. has some sweet deal worked out with an NBA team, my guess is he comes back.

I didn't realize so much time and "paperwork" went into overseeing the MGoBoard. I randomly came across this thread, and I feel like I am involved in a top secret & undisclosed MGoBlog Intelligence Agency meeting. Trolls are found and neutralized. Threads consolidated. "Bloggers of Mass Destruction" who have no credibilty are discussed. Maybe the policy of appeasement isn't working with the BMDs and a counteinsurgency (or indirect smear) campaign should be considered....I'm only half joking. Keep up the good work!

How is that douchey? I don't think it's a big deal to joke about those 3 years, and if anyone has that right it's someone who actually played at Michigan at that time.

|2 years 32 weeks ago||As long as you appear to take||
As long as you appear to take what the NCAA says seriously and enforce some minor penalties, it seems like you would get off without much damage. Miami, even though they got a point because of a garbage investigation, is getting really arrogant in the media and openly discrediting the NCAA, which is not smart. USC was smart in getting rid of their old AD when he started running his mouth and replaced him with Haden who understands how everything works. Shalala and Miami can be pissed at the NCAA behind the scenes, but should to to at least appear to be cooperating with their trainwreck of an investigation. I HATE the NCAA, but I understand that they hold a lot of the power right now. Unfortunately, as messed up and imperfect as the bowl system was, we have effectively given the NCAA MORE power & money with the cfb playoff. With all this expansion and the super conferences, I see a future where the conferences decide that they no longer need the NCAA and will each set up their own governing bodies, contracts, etc. I don't see how the NCAA wins that fight.

On an unrelated note, is it me or is Mary Sue Coleman getting younger? Either UMHS has a fantatastic plastic surgeon and MSC has an open tab or she has Benjamin Button syndrome. Everytime I see a picture of her, she looks 5 years younger. She better hope she doesn't run into me at Ricks in about 20 years.

Really such a dilemma for the athletic department. Do you retire his number? Good arguments for both sides. Tough call. I just hope we don't get a gigantic patch on anyone wearing the number 3 jersey. Retire it, or don't retire it - don't try and find a middle ground.
|2 years 32 weeks ago||It would be cool if he could||
It would be cool if he could play basketball too. Obviously the games are different now and require a lot more focus, but you think about guys like Bennie Oosterbaan and Ron Kramer. I'd like to see it be done at Michigan today. Even if you aren't a starter on one of the teams, just being a multi-sport athlete is quite an accomplishment and can put someone in a very select class.

Hahaha, I just changed mine. I had megaman smoking a joint, but it really didn't match the name. Never saw yours before, so I hope you know i didn't copy it! I did add a little maize wing to his head.
He's gone. We got pretty damn lucky he came back last year.
|2 years 32 weeks ago||We're getting our players to||
We're getting our players to the NBA as draft lottery picks and we'll start next season with a few more kids on the roster near the top of draft boards.
Watch Walton play and realize Spike hasn't played too much and will probably get better too. It's crazy how successful Burke was, if you remember, Brundidge was way more hyped than Burke was.
Things are going good in Ann Arbor. I'm already looking forward to getting revenge on Indiana with a sweep and destroying the Pitino led Minnesota.
|2 years 32 weeks ago||I've gone back and forth on||
I've gone back and forth on Burke. His size forces him to extend his body when he attacks the basket, which is why he usually ends up on the floor. That scares me because even in the two week tournament run, he banged his head pretty hard once and took two pretty tough drops in the Louisville game. He's a tough son of a bitch and his "clutch" factor is off the charts. He's clearly a smart kid, being able to come in as a freshman and run the offense. I think he'll be a fantastic pro. Athleticism is overrated (let's be clear though, he isn't unathletic) it's helpful sure, but I really think he has the scoring ability, defense and mental capacity to make up for it. In the top 6.

I think Izzo brings everyone back. Harris is actually more NBA ready than Payne, in my opinion. They'd be smart to have some offense run through Harris next season, so when Appling is struggling (it will happen) they aren't helpless.

Watching the Louisville women get dominated made me feel a tiny bit better. I'm also hoping this team doesn't forget the name of the coach that beat us and we completely obliterate and embarass Minnesota everytime we play them next season.
Random Questions: Does the team get a ring for being in the Final Four? Do the Final Four Banners signify that we were in the NC game?

|2 years 33 weeks ago||THJ needs to go because I||
THJ needs to go because I don't think he will get much better while in college. He needs to be committed to basketball full-time with NBA coaches and S&C. We've got to remember, the NBA and NCAA are two very different kinds of basketball in terms of the rules. NBA favors offense, NCAA favors defense. He'll be a nice role player somewhere, with a name like Hardaway he'll get a shot.
|2 years 33 weeks ago||I still don't know how||
I still don't know how Calipari convinces all these elite players to go to one school and share the spotlight. I also don't think he's a very good coach. I haven't seen any of his players do much in the NBA. If the NCAA is going to scratch the NBA's back by giving them a free farm system, then the NBA, through the scouts, should ruin Calipari's reputation because 7 elite players going to one school means 6 other schools are losing out on program changing talent.
I actually LIKE Calipari too. I like how he wants his players to go to the NBA early and get paid, not be exploited. My issue is that if he doesn't make them better or instill a sense of a work ethic in them, most of them will get a big rookie contract and that's it. That's a lot of money that could last a lifetime, but unless he's connecting them to someone at Charles Schwab of Fidelity, it probably won't.

I wonder if athletes who leave early can pay for their remaining credits in advance to lock into the lower tuition rates, because it seems to keep on rising.
On another note, if they aren't going to pay the players, I always thought it would be nice if schools offered athletes who graduated with a certain GPAs the opportunity to get a masters/graduate degree for free or at a discounted cost.
|2 years 33 weeks ago||It's wierd for me right now||
It's wierd for me right now because most of the time I jump right from Michigan basketball to getting geeked about Michigan football with the spring game and then build-up to the season. While I was a student (2004-2008) team wasn't very good, though I still went to most of the home games, it felt like basketball was more of a distraction from football. The Spring Game is on Saturday, but I'm still not over basketball and probably won't be for a while. I don't think I'll be over it until we know who is going/staying and who is added to our recruiting class to account for any losses.

|2 years 33 weeks ago||Hardaway has much more||
Hardaway has much more upside, but nothing that he'll be able to reach on college. When he can focus on basketball full-time and have an NBA coaching staff behind him, he'll be a role player (or maybe even a star) on a team. He needs to work on body control and consistent form and followthrough on his shot. Also, aggressiveness and the mental aspect of the game. When he wants to take it to the hole, he can, but too often he settled for jumpshots. Just because you see his consistent inconsistency does not mean he will not develop more.
I hope John Beilein at least considers some 1&Done players. He finds these under the radar guys (which takes a great deal of searching) and Beilein develops them into players that could go pro after one or two years. Look at what he's done in a little under a year with McGary, with BA getting a ton of credit too. With a roster of elite talent, who knows what he could do. He could definitely sell the ability to improve draft stock, get started toward a Michigan degree, a pretty open system offensively. I think he is moving in that direction, at least that's what I took from the cameras in the locker room.
