Doesn't he have ADHD? I seem to recall that was a big part of the reason he left Chesterton for Brewster. If that's the case, maybe the University provides him with special accommodations for his exams.
A friend of mine lives on a small island on the south end of Grosse Ile, Mi. The island is dark and secluded at night. It's private, and there are only about 50 houses. My friend's house is set pretty far back from the street, so the walk to and from a car is almost pitch black. After a party, I returned to his house alone to get some things I had left behind. As I was walking to my car, I heard a little kid playing and singing in the bushes just to my left. As it was around midnight, my first instinct was concern that a child had somehow gotten out without the parents knowing. I stopped to look for the kid, only to realize that there wasn't anything there. Just then, the singing stopped, and one shrub started to shake. I bolted for my car.
Later that night, I asked my friend whether there were any little kids on the island, and told him I had heard one singing in his yard. He said I had probably heard someone's tv or something, and there were no kids on the island. Despite his dismissal, there was definitely something singing within about 5 feet of me.
About a year after that, I met a neighbor of his. Somehow we got on the subject of ghosts, and he mentioned having an experience at my friend's. I asked him to elaborate, and he described the exact same experience I had, down to every detail (including some I hadn't relayed to my friend). I'm pretty convinced it was a ghost I heard that night.
The Outback Bowl typically has a pep rally on Clearwater Beach during the day on NYE. It's like a big tailgate party. If the weather is nice, it would be worth checking out.
1 pkg refrigerated hash browns
1 dozen eggs
1 pint milk
1 lb bacon
2 pkg shredded cheddar
2 tsp dry mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
Cook the bacon then crumble. Spread the hash browns in the bottom of a large casserole dish. Beat the eggs, then mix in the milk, cheese and spices. Pour mixture over the hash browns, top with the bacon crumbles. Bake at 375 for about 45 minutes or until the eggs are set. I usually prepare it Friday night then bake early Saturday morning. Simple and feeds a crowd.
For the Big Chill, The Arena (Downtown) hosted a tent party right by the stadium where they had all you could eat/drink for $20 per person. The owner said he would probably start doing it for football games, so you might want to look into that.
Also, Ashley's has a bloody mary bar before games. Breakfast too, I think.
IIRC, Valpo pulled his offer before his senior year, but re-offered around the same time Michigan began recruiting him. I also believe he got an offer from Oakland.
I definitely agree that he has exceeded expectations. Don't forget his game against Sparty in EL this year!
Stick to your time paramaters. IIRC, it was 20 minutes an essay. Move on if you aren't done with a longer essay, you will probably get a few shorter ones later on then have time to go back and finish. But the last thing you want is to stay too long on one then not have time to finish the whole test, especially since you could miss out on easier questions, and a lot of points. Remember that each question is worth the same amount regardless of how long or difficult it is.
I'm a new poster but have been reading for quite some time, and yes, MGoBlog memes have infiltrated my life. My dad and several of my good friends are avid readers as well, and we all reference many of the memes in conversation. It has even hit the point where we discuss occurences on the board, like "did you see (insert user here) got neg-banged today?"
I always assumed it was off-campus as well. I bought beer at the Capital One Bowl a few years ago and I remember my dad buying it at the 98 Rose Bowl. Also, Joe Louis sells alcohol when the hockey team plays there.
