I didn't watch either game, but I just checked the box score - WSU only managed 6 rushing yards (not sack-adjusted, but still). What was the deal there? Does Rutgers actually have a decent run D, or is WSU just incompetent?

Looks like we don't have any big home games during breaks in the academic calendar when students are gone. Big improvement on previous years, where it seems like we've always had an important late season MSU or OSU game during Spring Break (or a big non-conference game like Arizona during Winter Break)
These are all the home games that occur during student breaks:
I guess the worst one is....Illinois? I'll take it.

To be fair, those are two damn good receivers, both probably Top 5 among guys we've faced in the last 5 years. Kinda funny ND couldn't do more with two future solid NFL starters at WR.

I'm not arguing that the bullpen isn't terrible, but it seems strange that so many people are complaining about it after this game.

I know next to nothing about boating, but my biggest concern would be not doing anything to run afoul of US or Canadian Border Patrol. Make sure you research that aspect and make the relevant "check-ins" and what have you, because illegal crossings can entail several thousand dollars in fines, not to mention impoundment of your boat and a (hopefully) brief detainment in whatever processing facility they take you to.

Yeah, that's the only reason I knew it.

I'm not even much of a baseball fan, and I agree with you totally. MLB is way easier on your body, and usually pays better to boot. Only downside is the long season.

I don't even follow recruiting and that was still my first thought.

I remember not loving the Seinfeld finale at the time, but in retrospect it seems pretty appropriate. They didn't really care about giving people what they wanted.

Just as those not based on equations are inherently flawed for different reasons. By using a static, transparent equation, formulae like KenPom's at least give us a consistent starting point for scrutiny and debate, as opposed to human polls or "proprietary" ones like BPI.

I don't really love Oberon either, but I'm definitely not a Whitsun fan. It's been a while, but I remember it having the mouthfeel of like a peppered Bud light. Which probably only makes sense in my head.

No, it's seasonal in Michigan, and in most places I think, though I know Florida also gets it year-round.
|27 weeks 6 days ago||Wichita State Geography||
It's not just the potential Louisville matchup that screws Wichita geographically.
Let's assume the high-ish seeds win out in the Midwest. EVERY SINGLE ONE of those teams is closer to the round site than Wichita St. To wit:
Driving time to St Louis
1 - Wichita: 6:22
8 - Kentucky: 5:01
9 - Kansas St: 5:24
Driving time to Indy
1 - Wichita: 9:53
4 - Louisville: 1:43
5 - St. Louis: 3:43
2 - Mich: 4:04
3 - Duke: 9:16
Now obviously some of this is just Wichita being geographically somewhat isolated (and a bit unlucky that there's no Kansas City site this year). And a few of them (Duke, KSU) are obviously not significant differences. But man, it's not like there aren't some teams hanging around other regions that couldn't have been swapped to help out Wichita (in particular swapping out Kentucky would have been nice.)

I'm honestly not a huge fan of them but I appreciate that they're legit throwbacks and not "throwbacks", so I'd be cool with it. Wish teams did it more often, us included.

That's a good price. The very cheapest you'll see is $15.99, but it's usually in the $17-19 range, and I've seen it as high as $22.
