US Preventative Task Force Recommendations USPSTF Assessment Although the precise, long-term effect of PSA screening on prostate cancer–specific mortality remains uncertain, existing studies adequately demonstrate that the reduction in prostate cancer mortality after 10 to 14 years is, at most, very small, even for men in what seems to be the optimal age range of 55 to 69 years. There is no apparent reduction in all-cause mortality. In contrast, the harms associated with the diagnosis and treatment of screen-detected cancer are common, occur early, often persist, and include a small but real risk for premature death. Many more men in a screened population will experience the harms of screening and treatment of screen-detected disease than will experience the benefit. The inevitability of overdiagnosis and overtreatment of prostate cancer as a result of screening means that many men will experience the adverse effects of diagnosis and treatment of a disease that would have remained asymptomatic throughout their lives. Assessing the balance of benefits and harms requires weighing a moderate to high probability of early and persistent harm from treatment against the very low probability of preventing a death from prostate cancer in the long term. The USPSTF concludes that there is moderate certainty that the benefits of PSA-based screening for prostate cancer do not outweigh the harms. https://www.uspreventiveservicestaskforce.org/Page/Document/Recommendat…

WD got DB fired.

He was personally responsible for the firing of DB.  This is a fact.

What are the odds that Buck does the Michigan Utah game?

Just sold my TDI 2002 with only 79,000 miles. Miss the hum of that engine.
ATT U-Verse I switched from Comcast to ATT for TV and internet. Both are great and you get the discount for 2 years. Internet is fast and reliable. With Comcast I paid for 50 mbps and rarely got 10, with ATT I am consistenly in the upper 20's. For cable they have all the sport networks, signal has never gone out. Guide is fast. Picutre quality very good. You actually pay less if you add phone. I never use it but signed up for the discount.
Watch out!

Cowherd

Cowherd's questions were fit for a Miss Teen USA pageant contestant.   "When are you a cupcake?"  Harbaugh obviously wanted no part of this.

That 0-2 loss to Chicago in 1905.  Our last regular season game on a Thursday. Can't get over that one.  Looking for redemption.

Origin of Jungle Lion

"The A's to me, the way they compete, the team, the different way they think, they are jungle lions. Zoo lions get tired of zebra after a while and want filet mignon. Not jungle lions."

- Coach Harbaugh

Ignore the fact that Lions don't live in jungles... and that zoo lions aren't feed zebra.  Go A's! Go Blue!

Goodbye February Hello Spring. Please come soon.
Fisch wants to be a head coach

Jed Fisch's goal is to be a head coach.  I am guessing he approached Harbaugh for the position and was willing to take a short term deal for less money in order to learn from the best.  He was the only new coach that had not worked with Harbaugh before.

If he is successful/a good fit, I imagine he will receive a nice extension.

Well He coined "AMAIZING". That has to be worth something.
