I would probably buy another later model convertible with a V8 but with an automatic. But I have been really considering the Lexus SC430. Open top, nice cruiser and very comfortable for long rides and Lexus quality. Anyone on here have an SC430 or wish to share an opinion?

Great value and safe, I would put someone I love in one even if it was 10 or more years old. Provenance is always key. Next would be a 10-year-old, or more, Lexus RX300. Rock solid vehicles, slightly larger than the CRV. Simply great, long running AWD SUV's. Good luck.

An old neighbor of mine told me something interesting when we were conversing about a nasty, mean dog in our hood. He said to fry a sponge in bacon grease and toss it in the yard. Sponge gets small, smells delicious, dog eats sponge, sponge swells, dog dies, or owner pays lots of money to find out what is wrong. I took him at his word. He seemed to know an awful lot about things like this.
My natural instinct would be to approach, as it had been in the past. However, that is not the option to take unless you are faced with the "fight or flee" choice. Too many folks with concealed handguns today and too many of those may be all too willing to show you just how tough they are. You made the right choice.
