Diving into first is about as smart as sliding head first into home. If it's to beat out a two out single with no one on then it's not worth the risk. If it's to ensure the winning run gets home then by all means, do what's necessary.
My wife and I left Michigan to move to Charleston, SC about 4 years ago. She was able to land a job at a public HS in Charleston without having her certification first. Her Michigan certification sufficed until she could apply for the SC cert. That one wasn't even a retesting. Then we moved to Orlando, and she had to apply for a teaching certificate again. It was again not a recertification process. Super easy, and she worked for a Charter school, and then this year she moved to a public MS. The only caveat is that she is a Spanish teacher, so I am not sure how that equates to Bio. I also work in the technology field, and I have found it pretty easy to get a job in each city that we have moved to. The nice thing about her new gig is that she can also teach full time for FL virtual school which effectively doubles her salary. I am not positive on MA, but I believe the schools up north are probably a bit more strict on the certification side of things because schools in the south are quite terrible. I know we did a great deal of research on the topic before moving but we ultimately just had to take a leap of faith. Good luck!

Basically the stats that alum96 posted are my worries. He used one good year to catapult to a better job. I mean it could work out fine but it's not the "slam dunk" hire everyone seemed to be expecting. You're telling me you wouldn't have been happier with Orlando or Aranda?

I agree with that. As a annual passholder I would say October is decent but they run the stupid Halloween thing in the evenings which you have to pay extra for, same thing in December. Best time in my opinion is probably January. April-September is rain every day.
We will also be going to the Citrus bowl when we get back from Michigan. I will be employing the scalper on gameday strategy.
I wouldn't say "stuck" because if he has success he will not be stuck here for very long. UCF is a little bit like Houston, in that it could be a spring board to a P5 job in an instant. You also have the fertile recruiting ground in Florida. You can take UF and FSU and even Miami's scraps and put together a solid team with the right coach. The Baylor offense could do some bad ass things with the talent in Florida. I believe it was reported that Babers had zero interest in the Illinois job, so him taking a job at a non P5 school should tell people something about where these bottom dwellers from the B1G rank with regards to prospective coaches.
As a former employee of MSU who had several interactions with him, albeit very brief encounters....all I could come away from those was that feeling of "shit, at least he didn't spit on me"
Des Mogran was out of position so many times on those runs that broke for 8-10 yards that I lost count. He spent a ton of time running plays down that he should've been in position for from the jump. I honestly think Gedeon might grade out the best out of the LB group.
I think generally speaking that was known up front before the kid had made a commitment. This seems to be a rule that Urbz just decided to implement in this "one-off" scenario.
I agree. I do think there's a disconnect between people who can recall Michigan's dominance in the 70s, 80s, and 90s and those who cannot. I remember for a solid run of my childhood I never had attended a game that Michigan lost. Then during the RR years I was at NW 2008 and Toledo when we lost 13-10. So I think people see OSU plug in Urbz and the evil machine keeps churning out good teams while we appear to be multiple years behind even competing on that level over the course of a whole season.
I am pulling for Shane for exactly those reasons. The dude has a rocket launcher. Rudock does not excite me, although given the past few years of TO prone QBs he probably should. I think Shane will be the starter at Utah.
My old Jeep was geared at 5.13 and man that thing was not fast. I always laugh at my fiance because she gets pulled over a lot in her car...I always told her that my Jeep doesn't even register on the radar gun, or it sure didn't seem like it anyway.
My first car was a 93 Ford Festiva. It was free, all I had to do was replace the tranny. $50 later at the local junk yard and I had her running (more like jogging). The car lasted forever, but it was incredibly slow. I used to feel like I could Flintstone it faster than the little motor would go. There was nothing like the feeling of filling up for $12 though.
I wasn't surprised that the QB situation was at #1, but I was surprised that the OLine wasn't mentioned. I would say that with good OL play and solid RB play we could overcome the QB situation until the starter settles in.
