Is a top 4 Team, but it is a pipe dream to think they would make the CFP. If the selection commitee wanted to skip the conference champion and go to comparable games wins and losses. Michigan beat both Wisconsin, Penn St. and Colorado all playing in Conference Championship games. Comparing Ohio St. to Michigan.

Michigan Beat Penn St. easily, Wisconsin outplayed and beat in regulation, Colorado Beat Head to Head. Each of these teams are playing in their respective confernce championship games.

Ohio State struggled with Michigan State, lost to Penn St. and who is there next best win Nebraska that just got their ass kicked by Iowa. Michigan 2OT with bias officiating.

It won't happen, the CFP is supposed to include a team from each conference. 1. Winner of the conference, followed by the rest of the criteria. This should exclude Ohio State and Michigan, I would love to see another matchup, this will never happen. I will settle for watching Ohio State get their ass handed to them in a bowl game.

The season is not over. Go Blue!

OSU

Would get their ass kicked by Bama. They struggled beating Michigan State, got beat by Penn State, We all seen the Michigan Game. Struggled against Northwestern. Who seriously believes Ohio St. is a top 4 team? I don't. They needed help from officating to get past Michigan in their house.

Of course, I wouldn't mind seeing Bama kick their ass!

My instant reaction

was he was short. WE WON! I was shocked that the review was, basically non-existant. I have seen them spend more time resetting the game clock a few seconds than was spent on reviewing that play.

I don't think that it was just the Michigan Fan base that noticed this. I would notice the same in a game that I am watching that I am not a huge fan of. The Woverines have a passionate fanbase, not whining - Just looking at the facts as they really are.Go Blue! The season is not over yet.

I mentioned this on facebook

Last night. It is still the #1 Topic all over facebook. I have seen the officiating spend more time resetting the clock than was spent reviewing that play. Had they called the pass interference in the 2nd overtime Michigan also would have had a fresh set of downs. The officiating Human Error had an impact in the final minutes of this game no matter how you look at it.

Michigan Fans are Passionate! I don't consider this whining, which has been said many times. All you need is a set of eyes and everything else was obvious.

It was hard watching Michigan Insider this morning. Felt for the players & Harbaugh. It was hard watching them point out the officiating errors in the 2nd overtime alone. Michigan is a Great Team and will have a Great Bowl Game. They will fight another day. GO BLUE!

If they really want to get it right in the CFP committee all they need to do is comparable matchups between Michigan and Ohio St. Michigan kicked Penn St. ass, Kicked Michigan St. ass, Outplayed and beat Wisconsin in regulation. Michigan, I believe is the only team who has beaten 3 teams that are playing for conference championships. I am done venting.

He is right

Michigan outplayed and got robbed in the end. Proud of the way the men played today. Look forward to a great bowl game. Go Blue!

Michigan will WIN! More

Michigan will WIN! More optimistic than I was when they played Iowa. It is going to be a great day!

Scott Frost, Genius?

Watching ESPN yesterday they had a conversation regarding the tweet from Scott Frost after the game. Scott Frost tweeted that UCF was the hardest hitting team on the field during the Michigan Game. I am no one to judge. Just I have watched the game a couple of times already and I can agree they did hit hard, from my view they got hit hard, lost a couple of players - one self inflicted and more importantly they got their ass kicked. I just have to ask - how can a coach tweet to everybody that he had the hardest hitting team on the field after a kind of a blowout game?

Go Blue!!!!!

No, Not addiction

Just a Guilty Pleasure where you set aside everything that you could or should be doing to enjoy Michigan Football.

Go Blue!

Enjoying a nice cup of Brew

in the peace and quiet of the early morning hours. Suppose I could open the patio doors to hear some wildlife on the lake, but for now the quiet is good. It dawned on me last week that I no longer have to watch reruns of Michigan Football from the good ole' days, you know when we were winning. I admit, I have been doing that for about the last 8 years. Never missed a single game Michigan game during our downtime. Took all of the ribbing from family or I should say half of the family. The other half of us are now dishing it out, pointing out to them that Michigan played everyone but the Cheerleaders in the game. State didn't look so great and the Buckeye's well did they even play 2nd or 3rd string during the game to throttle their opponent?

I think we all know how what happens when you rely on 1 to 3 player's to win it all, Buckeye's up by 60 and I just don't recall them putting in a 2nd or 3rd string QB? I didn't watch the game but I did see the highlight's. I would just like to say I am so hyped for Michigan Football this year and the future.

Sorry, bored and caffeine on Game Day! Go Blue!!

I actually do live in the middle of nowhere

In Michigan, I have pulled up the TV  Schedule and went to the Dish schedule and neither shows ABC with programming on the 1st of January. I could hook up a Antenna, forgot that I had one and haven't even tried it to see if it works for local programming.

Will do that this week and have also followed the other advice it is much appreciated. Dish has had an ongoing dispute regarding the negotiations. I couldn't imagine them not showing the Michigan Bowl Game, but it is a very good bargaining chip.

I do appreciate the advice.

Go Blue!

The game probably made them

Like it a little more. I read a couple of articles earlier from the visiting recruits. They loved it! Loved the Coach, Loved the Stadium and the atmosphere, Love the Academics and the high energy around the program.

One of them said Michigan is definately his favorite. Felt very comfortable at Michigan.

Go Blue!

I don't even think

It is the Michigan Fans that are making the comments on twitter, probably more like a troll/sparty trying to keep it buzzing with lame attempts to try and slander the Michigan Fan Base.

Go Blue!

High School Event

In Michigan tonight and it was an outside event. Of course the topic of conversation while parents were gathering and waiting was a little about the game. Just listening without any Michigan gear on was enlightening.

Most of the the people talking and I really had no clue who they were other than State Fans were laughing saying wow now they are trying to say that the punt attempt would have been blocked anyway. This was all followed by Michigan had that game and should have won it. I did finally say thats good to hear from some honest people being a huge Michigan fan. When they are not bragging and talking among themselves, people are a little honest.

It was refreshing to see that not all State fans are idiots.

All of this conversation was followed by my tiny towns marching band playing Hail to the Victors, so they glanced over at me and said hey isn't that the Michigan Fight Song.

Go Blue!!

Probably

And this is just a guess. They didn't like the illegal formation penalty they got out of the attempted illegal formation play, the penalty and turning the ball over to the Patriot's with a 1st down.

That is what happened with the play.

I seen this early today

But apparently even with that really bad call, Michigan Fans still won the twitter meltdown for the entire weekend.

Go Blue!

Just a thought?

When is the Fall Back time change? Could have an impact this early on lineup.

Or

If any of that were to happen the BIG could be completely left out of the NC Title Games. With SEC, BIG 12, PAC and ACC in.

No Blame

This really was the perfect storm as already said. From the low snap, picking it up, attempted kick right in to the hands of the sparty. The odds of the entire scenario coming off perfectly to be run into the end zone on final tick? Very Rare.

We have all seen a blocked punt and it is easy to say fall on the ball, had the ball not flew into sparty hands it would have been a different outcome and he would be a hero. In the moment - he done what came with instinct. It happens.

So, I prefer to look at this as it was. A very rare fluke that didn't go our way. I should recover fully by the time we play Minnesota. Sadly I like Jerry Kill, but not when we play them.

Go Blue!

That's Funny!

I was thinking the same thing!

Teenage daughter with tickets in hand ready to walk out the door to go zip lining and to a haunted house looks over at the TV and says can we go now? What can possibly happen in 10 seconds?

Well, there is that!

Exactly how it went.

Thank You

For Posting!

First Laugh of the day! Felt Good!

Go Blue!

Harbaugh

I seen the presser last night and my heart broke for him. I could see the pain in his face and how he felt for all of the guys that just played in the game.

How do you even put it into words?

It was probably one of the worst losses I have ever seen in a Michigan game. In a word "Bazarr".

It has never happened before and it will never happen again. These guys will be ready and back playing with a couple of well deserved weeks off. It will be a tough two weeks, because unforunately the best cure for a Michigan Loss is a Michigan "WIN".

Go Blue!!

Go Blue!!

Bye week at the perfect time!

This season is not even close to over as we have all just witnessed anything can happen in Football.

For some reason especially when Michigan is in the game!

GO BLUE!

I said it last night

1. I am heart broken for the TEAM!

2. I am heart broken for the Coaches!

3. I am heart broken for the Fans!

Go Blue!

Something

Needs to change when making a judgement call that does have an impact on the game.

Is this in the hands of a single person? The review should involve more than a single opinion! Maybe that is something they should look at. How do we know if the person making the final judgement call is being impartial at that exact moment?

When bad shit happens?

You think about the good! Move on!

I am thinking a lot about the good today! Sparty is still being disrepected on the sports networks, that is so good! Got to sting a little! Sparty got a Victory, but it is still being said that Michigan was the better team on the field. I don't feel bad for you Sparty!

Michigan has a better football team than I expected at the beginnning of the season! They are taking the field and playing some damn good football!

The season is not over with no bowl! We have some games in front of us and an opportunity to spoil a season for that team to the south!

We have Coach Harbaugh!

Go Blue! We live to fight another day!

Actually

I have listened to a little sports this morning!

It is a little refreshing to hear "I think Michigan was the better team on the field, in spite of the final play" Michigan Played the perfect game! It was a fluke! Miracle for State! I could say a few more. Just a few of the things being said.

Ouch, that has to hurt Sparty! I don't feel for you!

Love Michigan Football and I will never forget it! I will get over it.

Go Blue!!

I woke up

in the middle of the night and first thought, did that really happen? 2nd thought, We still have Harbaugh!

Go Blue!

Agree with you!

Lets not presume that the threats we are hearing about are from rationale adults. What does it require to have a twitter handle or anything on the internet? Not much. I don't see any Michigan Fan that would blame or threaten one of our greatest punters ever for the Miracle that was just gifted to State really the only thing that could happen in that moment, did. Miracle for Sparty!

I believe we all watched the same game. Michigan had the lead until the final tick. It wasn't all pretty, they played as a Team in all aspects of the game. We had some very solidly bad officiating that gave a nice assist to the Miracle for Sparty which I really believe started with removing one of our lead tacklers from the playing field?? I could mention a handful of others that I noticed and kept asking the Universe, what the hell?

As I have heard over and over since that final play how does the AP handle this? Michigan had the lead on Sparty and gifted them a miracle? WoW, Michigan is really good and Sparty got a miracle are they better than Michigan? A win is a win, but? How do you really look at that game?

I don't see State moving up in the polls as a top caliber football team!

Michigan got a miracle in 2015 in Coach Harbaugh! Now, Sparty got theirs!

Great Game for Michigan!

Go Blue!

Yeah

But, isn't that why we love Michigan Football so damn much. We haven't just had some of the most iconic losses, but a lot of iconic wins as well.

I am just a little more relaxed this year knowing that all is not hopeless and we are back on track for the first time in 7 years. It is good that I don't lose sleep over Michigan Football. I have seen some solid wins on the field this season and passion in the players. I have seen some god awful officiating as we have come to expect in pretty much every game that is played only to have the Big Ten opologize on another day for its poor calling. It is football and better it is Michigan Football and the reason I love it!

Best Part of Fall is Michigan Football!

Go Blue!

Not just the snapper

Flag should have been thrown for roughing the punter. He was directly hit while his foot was connecting with the ball which sent it directly into a sparty's hands. He didn't throw the ball it was a kick and I swear in slow motion he was hit by a slew of sparty's in the process.

Seriously?

In the presser he called us "weak sisters"?

They were technically out played and behind the entire game. The only lead they ever got in the game was in the final second of the game on a rare fluke and dumb luck.

I am looking so forward to the future of Michigan Football when it is back to the good old days of how it used to be when we complained about Sparty ruining a perfect season rather than getting pummeled on the field as it has been the past few years. That did not happen today, not even close. It was a good solid poorly officiated football game. "Normal" I am beginning to feel that officiating should be 2 out of 3 instead of a single person making the final decision.

Maybe?

That punter earllier actually started to run with the ball and try kicking after a few steps. The punt that botched with the low snap wasn't fumbled. He picked it up and while he was kicking it was hit. At least thats what I saw. It was so fast that I don't think anyone realized the ball was being kicked as he was hit by a few Sparty's and the kick is what sent the ball directly into sparty hands.

I thought it was a roughing the punter penalty that should have been called in the end.

Technically

After watching the play in slow motion I thought it was a penalty to run into the punter when he was kicking the ball. He was hit by a slew of Sparty's while kicking the ball in the botched punt attempt. I know I am being technical maybe it is just the leg I thought it was the punter himself that couldn't be hit while his leg was kicking the ball.

Digging Deep on this one.

I thought the Team played a great game. It was a fluke in the end and rare as hell. Doesn't help the hurt today. We will all recover. We have a really good Michigan football team.

GO BLUE!!!

Agree with you!

That was a hard last second fluke of a loss and rare. We have a solid team and kicker. He put us in the position to well kinda win the game. The real shocker was the way it was lost not won. Michigan didn't get its ass kicked today! We were not pummeled on the field. The guys played a hard hitting game and basically outplayed the sparty boys. They know it.

I hope Sparty really celebrates the Victory on this game I don't see another like it for years to come. Michigan is heading in the right direction and things are getting turned around quicker than I ever dreamed. The team didn't deserve this loss the way they played today and it really was a fluke. I have watched enough football to see a botched punt, just can't remember the last time that it was in the last 10 seconds of a game. It was a good call from the coaches, our kicker has been spot on for weeks and has done one hell of a great job on the team. It just happened he got a low snap and tried to get it off in time.

Heart Broken in the loss. Not heart broken with the Team or the Coaches. They are doing a great job.

I don't think alot of idiots would be on here complaining without too much thought if they didn't care so much. We will recover. Be back watching Michigan football in a couple of weeks and I can't wait.

Go Blue!

Broken Heart

Broken Heart for the team and the coach and the fans. I didn't see that outcome and honestly can't even look at the game as being won. Hard to say another team won a game on an error that a great kicker never makes. More like just damn.

Glad the Team has a bye week. They will be back at it in a couple of weeks. Great job for the team.

Michigan fielded a winning team today and done a hell of a job. I cannot say that for the refs. I think they should all be fired or trained. Taking one of our lead tacklers out of such an important game on one of the worst calls I have ever seen??

We are not done. Lot of games left and we can still kick Ohio's ass. How will that work when state loses to Ohio and we beat Ohio? Does anybody know? Doesn't matter I am rooting for any team that plays Sparty for the rest of my life. Nobody deserves that much luck.

Sulking in Michigan

Where have you been?

They are promoting Christmas in September.

It is a little soon for bowl predictions though. I will just be happy seeing some passion on the field and fan support off the field. If it comes with a few wins, even better.

Go Blue!

I moved on!

I moved on from all of this was a week ago.

Is this the last thread about Weber? He is a Buck ~ by choice.........

This is the first and last time that I will say anything regarding Weber, good luck to him.

Go Blue! Let's kick some Buck ass!

I am sure

Weber is a great kid.

He should know that in the age of Social Media that you never believe anything you read/hear and only half of what you see.

It is not possible to stop a troll moron from writing crap and pretending to be a fan when they are not and this is for all colleges, not just rival schools.

ESPN Trying

Once again to sensationalize a story and I read several articles earlier that science supports the football deflating.

I am going with the science on this one and its ESPN I question the integrity of them more than Tom Brady.

I hate to be

Judgemental, but from everything I have read about York, other than of course the obvious his lack of intelligence to keep Harbaugh (great for Michigan). Who would want to work for the guy?

Niners Nation is still pissed, a little shocked, a little dazed and confused as to what the hell is going on!

I wish them the best!

Didn't Want to Start another thread.Update Jan 23, pm.

A new thread should not be necessary, this has grabbed the attention of the bloggers I do believe as well as the rest of the nation with some news outlets airing it on a fairly continuous basis and I might add University of Michigan highlighted quite frequently in each news report.

UPDATE:  Treetops Resort in Gaylord estimated damages around $50K, Damages now range in the 100K range  after cleanup and repairs have continued and some completed. Some of the rooms are now open for business again. Sigma Alpha Mu as we most know by now has been suspended by the University, although to be clear just the Fraternity is suspended. The students are back in class and back to business as usual. Signa Delta Tau Sorority was also at Treetops Resort and depending on investigations may have the same fate.

Boyne Highland Resort: Fraternities that were at this resort were Pi Kappa Alpha and Chi Psi Fraternities and Alpha Phi and Delta Gamma Sororitities damaged 12 Condos at Boyne Highlands during the same time frame. Damages unknows, but in the $1,000s.

The Photos are heartbreaking. Michigan State Police is still investigating and charges may still be filed. State Police Footage that I watched, they were at a loss for words as to how someone could have such a plain deregard for property, childish, etc. in some of their words they said it seemed like an earthquake had struck the resort with the severe damage.

I don't know what the Hell the Fraternities and Sororities hoped to acheive during the weekend up in Gaylord and at Boyne Highlands, but they should be crowned king if they were hoping to acheive destruction and shed a poor light on the University of Michigan.

With the most recent spotlight on the University of Michigan being in the news again which adds to another not so positive story relating to the University of Michigan if you add to it the Shane Morris Concussion and the Student Protests of David Brandon and all of these occurances within 6 months.

I myself would love to see some positive news. Jim Harbaugh was great and great for the University, but to have it followed up by this? This is not so good.

This is just an update from the late night news that was on last night and unfortunately when it is being discussed with the damage of the Fraternities and the Sororities involved the Block M is on the front of the article as well. It was depressing to see the "M" attached to such a destructive story.

Again, with the down votes. You are either very childish, possibly one of those involved or for some reason do not understand that this is not good for the University of Michigan.

I Disagree

If a group of U of M students regardless of whether they were in a fraternity/sorority or not would be just as much of a disappointment. No group of students from the University of Michigan who are by the way Adults should destroy another mans property.

I would feel the same regardless of the group of students involved. This just happened to be a Fraternity/Sorority that were involved. I would hope that charges are brought against those involved, they broke the law and being young and stupid is no excuse.

All is important

The point of this thread is not that 1 or 2 people was a little destructive to property. Several Fraternities' and Sororities' rented Condos at one Resort and several rooms at yet another resort and in a matter of two days managed to cause in the range of up to $100K in damages at Treetops and in the $1000s and Boyne Highlands Resort. This involved alot of students and Damages and Destruction that has not been seen in 50 years per some of the owners. The Michigan State Police was shocked at the destruction of property and are still determining what if any charges will be brought against the students.

It seems a little odd that you would want to compare this to a crime of theft in a laundry room? All crime is important, but than this was crime to an extreme and involving a couple of hundred students from the U of M and has found its way onto National News Outlet's and is currently being reported daily with the University of Michigan on every headline.

Reply to NRK, I tried to reply, but this is not working today.

I personally don't recall anything of the magnitude from the University of Michigan, ever. I am not saying that it has never happened, but this has been a very bad past 12 months for the University and this in my eyes just add 1 more thing to tarnish a the fine University of Michigan.

It seems for the past year that the U of M has been in the news way to often some for on the field stuff and alot for off the field antics. The latest is the worst I personally have ever heard of from the University of Michigan Students. I don not recall a time in the history of the University where students have caused this much damage and destroyed personal property to this extreme at two seperate resorts and within weekend.

I am not saying permanant expulsion of the students, but what would you recommend? This has made the National News as I knew it would a couple of days ago when I read the articles and seen the photos, read of the rudeness to other families and guests of the resorts, it was a given that this was going to spread and very fast. If anyone can tell me of an occurance on this level from the University and the students representing the University enlighten me. I have not heard of anything on this level.

I do not necessarily blame the parents unless of course their first action is to bail them out and not allow them to suffer the consequences of their actions. I do not know what would be appropriate in reality. They were very destructive in a matter of just a couple of days and done damage I have never seen done in just a couple of days or even a few weeks. I can give you an example of good behavior: We stayed a a posh resort in the Leelanau Pennisula last summer and when we left the place so spotless the owner not only invited us back, but told us she would no longer charge the cleaning deposit because we took such good care of the place.

I know this is up to the University as to how this is handled of course, but what would you consider to be appropriate punishment for these students? A slap on the wrist, please don't do it again, oh just pay for the damages and all will be well. None of this is appropriate punishment for the destruction they done while representing the University of Michigan. Should they be expelled permanently? I don't know the answer to this. Is this the first time that they have gotten out of hand, or have they done other antics within the fraternity? These are all questions that I am sure the University is going to check into and evaluate. They should all offer their services and haul their fine butts back up north to assist in the cleanup with out just writing a check, some nice community service should be mandatory.

The lack of a poorly written apology letter left alot to be desired after reading it, as it just did not seem sincere and more like a form letter of a Fraternity who thought they were above the law. I think I could write a book on this entire subject.

Live would be cool

But since we are in the age of the Robot and computers, why doesn't some genius person out their make a nice robot wolverine, you know similiar but not real to walk the sidelines, it would be better than 90% of any other Mascot I have seen on the sidelines.

I know far fetched, just a really bad thought!

No, That is not what I was thinking

My thought was did he release them back into the wild or donate them to a zoo! Why on earth would your thought be did he eat them?

The Wolverine is a beautiful animal and yes very ferocious. From everything I have learned of the Wolverine in the wild they do not have a known predator and will attack animals more than twice their size and have been known to go after a bear. The Wolverine is a magnificent animal.

When I stated that it would be cool in Ann Arbor to have a nice posh exhibit for the Wolverine, I was not thinking a cage on the sideline. The thought process was more of something that a zoo offers only better, much better from some of the zoos I have seen the animals in.

I started thread on this

A couple of days ago and recieved tons of down votes for it at the time. I don't think anyone on the blog realized just how bad it realy was and I didn't provide all of the links and photos as I probably should have. I did receive alot of negativity at the time for starting the thread.

I was shocked at the time and disappointed that the University of Michigan students would do something so destructive and be so rude to families and guests on vacation at the resorts. Needless to say the disgust is no better today. I do feel the only option the University has is to expell the students involved. They should all face criminal charges for their actions along with retributions, fines, community service, etc. whatever is fit under the terms of the law.

I was really disappointed at the number of bloggers who at first tried to defend them and say young kids will be young kids. That was one of the biggest lines of crap I have ever heard. Now that this is in the National News a few a starting to take a little more interest and are changing their responses alot!

This is now the 3rd thread on the same issue and the I see now that the OP is not receiving the same negative responses that Idid when I first reported it. Cudos for that! Did someone wake up and say OH Damn, this is not good for the University. These students in one manner or another are representing the University of Michigan just by being students of the University, why people on this board had issues with this when it was first posted was beyond me. This is a University that my daughter plans to attend and has for a very long time. I have always taught her that her behavior everywhere and that everything she does will impact her getting into the University of Michigan. To hear and see the damage that several fraternities' have done to personal property is very disappointing. I really believe it is the students of these Fraternites that are at fault and they should all be expelled from the University of Michigan, a slap on the hand is not enough.

We have seen lessor actions done by students with the consequences of them getting expelled and I do not see how this should be any different. They broke the law, Destroyed Private Property and did not represent the fine University of Michigan, nor did they take this into consideration at the time of their actions. I read the apology letter that was given to Tree Tops Resort and I personally could have done better myself and I was not even there, just read about it.

I hope the University does what is right under the circustances and the embarracement that these students have caused and expells them all.

Let them go represent a fine community college somewhere.
