Yes we should always expect that the school will do the expedient thing, apparently.

slblue- you are not wrong, it is highly unlikely that Mars issued this statement without Jim's approval. For some reason people here like to take shots at Mars though.

Yes, IMO he is. He has the size, accuracy, mobility, ability to look off safeties and a great attitude and work ethic.

I've liked Homa, since a friend of mine suggested his podcast a couple of years ago. He is a great interview as well and seems to be a funny unassuming guy.

The big money in sitcoms is when they go into syndication and get rerun 100s of times over decades and decades.

Good lord-quit whining. Who checks to see who has negged them and how many times?

He's pretty good on the Fox…

He's pretty good on the Fox pregame show and normally is one of the more positive panelists with respect to Michigan. I didn't like him at ND, but I'm fine with him now.

Stop making sense!

Stop making sense!

Well, didn't he recently…

Well, didn't he recently beat his rookie combine time in the 40? I think he was likely kidding on this one though.

The gloves were stiff and…

The gloves were stiff and somewhat shrunk by the time he tried them on and more importantly, he was wearing latex gloves and put the gloves on over those. Zero doubt in my mind that he did it. Fuhrman planting evidence (which I also don't doubt) also undermined the case.

That said, the racial aspect was probably the biggest factor in the acquittal.

Think it's 50-50 on Tiger…

Think it's 50-50 on Tiger making the cut, those are in fact the odds and I bet that he would. Scottie is playing so well it doesn't seem fair. Think Rory has to win a different major first to end that drought and then maybe a Masters. Aberg seems so calm, don't know if that's just on the outside, but he is one supremely talented Masters rookie.

Will they let you take note…

Will they let you take note cards into the interviews?

They might if she doesn't excel at the next level.

When did Rudock transfer in?

When did Rudock transfer in?

But I don't think that is…

But I don't think that is really the point. We were a running team that finished 15-0 with a 70 percent passer (who was also a running threat), who could make every throw. We ran effectively in no small part because JJ had to be respected. Orgi has not shown that and while it would be wonderful if he gets to that point, it isn't the percentage play to expect that he will.

That is far from clear and…

That is far from clear and frankly I doubt it. Kansas was 5th best in their conference and didn't even make the sweet 16. Shannon and Love were both horrible in their elimination games.

Not necessarily disagreeing,…

Not necessarily disagreeing, but what do you mean by "player's coach" ? I hear that term used frequently.

edit- and can you give a few examples of guys in college who are player's coaches?

The thing they have going…

The thing they have going though is that they are young guys with tons of energy and appear to be able to relate well to the players. I feel pretty optimistic about both of them (and Dusty as well).

From those whom could hear,…

From those whom could hear, with courtside seats, he very subtly was constantly on officials throughout the game to see things his way, he also was one of the better trash talkers, but because he wasn't loud and on the court, no one realized it, it also meant he was unlikely to get teed up because the officials weren't openly being showed up.

For some period of time (not…

For some period of time (not sure how long), Ernie and George teamed up (this was before Paul Carey). Think but not sure, there may have been a simulcast (i.e. TV got the radio feed) at one point. Also at some point one would start on radio, the other on TV and then they'd switch halfway thru the game. Remember there only used to be about 30-35 games televised, and Tigers may have felt it didn't justify a completely different announcing crew.

32-8 including the World…

32-8 including the World Series. Lolich justifiably gets all of the accolades, but Denny coming back on 2 days rest to win game 6, made Lolich winning game 7 (also on 2 days rest), possible.

Except Sampson had Oklahoma…

Except Sampson had Oklahoma on a 3 year probation for over 500 recruiting violations before he ever got to Indiana. I get that with today's lens (anything goes), recruiting violations seem minor but at the time he was cheating compared to most others. Indiana hired him knowing what had happened and with the admonition to stay clean, and he did it again anyway.

Papa Sam, the construction…

Papa Sam, the construction man. Then "Lew Alcindor" was going to leave after his freshman year before he ever played a varsity minute, because he was homesick for New York. Sam saw him, greatly sweetened the pot, so to speak, and the rest is history. Wooden's first title may have been legit and he was a good coach, but the rest are tainted. He also worked the referees in a way that Izzo can only dream about.

The murder of his Dad has…

The murder of his Dad has been speculated to have not been random, but in fact connected to his son's gambling. I don't think there was any formal suspension, secret or otherwise, but there were rumblings and Michael decided to be proactive and "retired" first.  Two years later the NBA was begging him to come back. Michael's 6 titles could have been 8, or at least 7.

I'm saying they ARE wrong, or are being dishonest for tactical, competitive reasons.

Does everyone realize that…

Does everyone realize that Dan Snyder isn't running the Commanders anymore? I think the arrow is pointing up on the franchise. Also I'm not worried where JJ lands (I'd prefer not the Pats because that franchise is clearly on the downswing). I think he is the best QB prospect based on all factors: arm, mobility, accuracy, ability to read defenses, calm under pressure, and work ethic, and he doesn't have to be dropped into a perfect situation to succeed.

Don't know that he could do…

Don't know that he could do that and keep his gig at BTN as an analyst (which he is very good at, and likely decently paid).

Judd was a much better coach, he just couldn't recruit. Had a pretty good follow-up to Magic teams with Scott Skiles.
