I'll be there. First time at I'll be there. First time at The Game. I'll be sitting with a slew of OSU fans in my maize and blue. Standing and loud.
48-7 Michigan. 48-7 Michigan.
It absolutely had something It absolutely had something to do with it. Harbaugh doesn't miss any opportunity for a competitive edge- on the field and off. I have no doubt Karan has worked his tail off, but Harbaugh was sending a message to Walker.
Harbaugh doesn't miss Harbaugh doesn't miss anything. I'd bet this was part of it- though he wouldn't play him if he also hadn't brought it in pract.
He's playing to show the He's playing to show the recruits that they can get run as a frosh.
I agree. We play Utah in game 2 and we beat them. I agree. We play Utah in game 2 and we beat them.
I agree this is a huge game I agree this is a huge game regarding how we fare the rest of the season, but I just cannot see where anyone would get 6-6 from this schedule. Even IF we lose to the big 2 and northwestern I don't see anyone else beyond BYU on the schedule that will beat M.
He's 6'3 225. My goodness He's 6'3 225. My goodness Bacon is right- Some Michigan fans aren't happy unless they're unhappy.
30-0 Michigan 30-0 Michigan
That was my first game, too! That was my first game, too! I was in 6th grade. What a second half.
I played for his dad. I played for his dad.
Great thought, Myrtle. We Great thought, Myrtle. We tend to hang on each game and question how each game is handled. But coaches like JB have a philosophy for each situation and they build their programs and game plans on principles. See Izzo emphasizing rebounding and toughness (famous for football pad practices). JB's teams are known for not fouling and not turning it over. He also has a policy, if you will, for offense. Rarely do his teams shoot or attack early in the clock. Sometimes those policies or principles can bite you, but as has been mentioned elsewhere, I'm comfortable with his policy and principles that have brought us banners and deep tourney runs.
I agree with you, Bender. And I agree with you, Bender. And I appreciate your point on the fouls per 32. My issue with your post above was that you criticized Ace by implying that he should be addressing Michigan's larger problem(s). You didn't question the way he analyzed the foul decisions. You attacked him for addressing it at all.
I know when this blog's I know when this blog's readers don't have a ton of mgoblog experience when they whine about an actual game (not season) recap that includes actual players who play and coaches who make decisions. Ace wrote an opinion piece recapping today's game. It's his job to go about it just as he would if the team was at full strength. So he analyzed the decisions that were made by Coach B in relation to players that were available to play. I'd say his analysis today and in the past shows quite a bit of basketball experience. I'm grateful these guys are still previewing and recapping each game as if the games are real (they are) and they matter (they do).
Why lol? Tell me why we won't. Why lol? Tell me why we won't.
I agree. I think we win the B1G in 2016. I agree. I think we win the B1G in 2016.
Not sure how you can "fix" it Not sure how you can "fix" it when you're playing multiple freshman and walk ons and starters in foul trouble.
Irvin and Rahk both with 2 fouls. Irvin and Rahk both with 2 fouls.
We've lost Mitch, Horford, We've lost Mitch, Horford, Morgan, and Wilson in a year? Who replaces 4 bigs?! How are people so easily forgetting that we were a possession away from beating the almighty Kentucky last year to go the FF- minus Mitch?
Kentucky loses 7 players a Kentucky loses 7 players a year Jvarg? Kentucky doesn't start 3 freshman this year. What would they be minus Cauley Stein and the Harrison's? What a terrible comparison.
The jumping ship here is The jumping ship here is getting ridiculous. I will unashamedly blame this on depletion. You don't lose 3 underclassmen to the league, 2 seniors to grad and grad transfer, and your best 2 players to injury and play well for long stretches (multiple games) and close out victories. Yes, the defense and rebounding is ugly. Freshman college basketball players develop slowest defensively and in rebounding. Obvious bad play is obvious, but let's have some perspective. We're just flat out undermanned right now. BUT, I'd take Rahkman and Dawkins over any two frosh on Stae's team. The future is bright. Stay on board.
Great Stuff

Great stuff, MichiganMan. First time ever posting/replying, but wanted to do so today because I really appreciated your honesty and the time you took to share your "insider" info with us. I also live in Sarasota so I'm excited about the Sarasota-Michigan connection. Kicking myself for not getting over to Riverview to see Karan play!
