to know people associated with the basketball team for these double secret games. Student managers, staffers, and even the towel boy can usually get a lot of good information even though "no stats are recorded."
This is kind of the problem facing the program. Sounds great on paper, but in real life every other major program is laughing it's ass off at Michigan. The program acts like they've been relevent since WWII without much success to back up the talk. You know it's a slippery slope when posts like this are made. You are part of the problem. Congratulations.
Lee and Thompson probably won't see the court at the same time unless he gets the hardship waiver. Lee seems like the stopgap as he only has one year to contribute since he is doing the 5th year transfer deal. Either way, both of them are big gets for OSU.
The class will finish around 23 with Lattimore, Smith, Dixon, Bookser, and Solomon Thomas being the key remaining targets. The first three are essentially locks while the last two are 50/50 propositions.
He is an absolute douche and a shitty person. I'm a student a Georgetown and his antics on the sidelines are insufferable. I've never seen a coach walk to halfcourt, get T'd up, then bitch about it like a 5 year old. Plus, my friend writes for the Georgetown Men's Basketball Team, and he shared a story about Buzz. Apparently, he has a weird love-hate dichotomy with Dana O'Neil, so at the post-game press conference, he winked at her and said something like, "What's up sweetheart?" She just kind of stared back at him in awe. When his interview was finally over, she curtly got up and said, "What a dick, I mean he's the worst kind of person." Long story short, Marquette somehow is really good at producing hated coaches.
mad that Muschamp ain't too great of a coach and he hired Charlie friggin' Tuna to run his offense. The fact that they're still blaming this all on Meyer is ridiculous.
Looks like this breakdown shows two spots still available with Berry off of the team and Hagan still listed as being a part of it. Hard to pin down an exact number, but I'm expecting 25.
OSU currently has two more spots left. With the almost foregone conclusion that Jamaal Berry will not return and rumors heating up that Chad Hagan will either transfer or seek medical hardship, it opens up to four more spots. Williams, Reeves, Dodson, Perkins, Neal, and Marcus are the top targets as of now.
you mean that defense in 2008, which finished 4th in scoring and 9th in total defense without Mattison? The same one that was half of the squad that won the National Championship? Or how about 2009 where the Gators finished 4th and 4th, respectively, on defense. Not to mention 6th in total offense in 2009 without Mullen. 2010 was a down year, surely, but it's pretty shortsighted to believe that Meyer can't put together great teams without Mattison/Mullen.
If you haven't gathered by now, I am an Ohio State fan (nay, an Ohio fan), albeit one who can see through a lot of the bullshit and usually have a pretty good sense of humor about it. I'm happy to talk football and know that I'm in enemy territory, but please put away the rose-colored glasses for about 2 minutes. Michigan fans shouldn't be freaking out, but to act like Urban isn't an elite coach who will have Ohio State winning at a steady clip is just as asinine of a position.
As for Heacock, he was an instrumental figure , and I'm sure that his presence will be missed. Just don't underestimate Fickell as a DC, like you seem to be doing.
No offense, but that's a pretty myopic view of the situation. You know that Fickell has been the assistant D coordinator since 2005, right? The defenses at OSU have been phenominal under his watch, and I expect no different now. No doubt Hoke and Mattison have shown that they will be successful, but your statement is ludicrous. If anything, this rivalry will benefit from having the 2 strongest programs in the Big 10. But, hey, I guess you can believe anything you want to.

Harbaugh isn't leaving the NFL. It is what it is. Hell will freeze over before he comes back to the college level. He hates dealing with boosters, recruiting, people in the real world, etc. Nothing UM can do about it. My money is on Pinkel or Mora.
seems like he has no more knowledge than we do. Trying to sell subscriptions is his only job.
seems like a better choice
Did you even watch their game against Kansas last weekend? TCU would get smacked on a neutral field against Mississippi State or Ohio State.
Only thing Hoke could've done. Deuces, Frank.
Basketball reference needs to step up its game. Can't believe I forgot McGary
On NBA Rosters -
OSU has 4: Sullinger, Turner, Conley, and Koufos
UM has 4: Burke, Crawford, Hardaway, and Stauskas
MSU has 4: Anderson, Brown, Green, and Randolph
Whatever gets you through the day.
we have the same guy. Connected with Hoke, says Hoke visits him about 5-6 times a day? Definitely some inside info here.

Handing an athletic department should transcend party affiliations. He's a failure no matter how you slice it. Time to cut the losses and move on.
with the "chance of accepting job" criteria? Wouldn't it be more adventageous to make 5 the highest chance of accepting the job?
I love that guy
fair and square

have a stream? I've checked firstrow and vipbox, but neither have working streams tonight.
Thanks

but the message board content is atrocious. Buckeye Planet is by far the best OSU message board. A lot of long time UM fans there too.
is a very valid statement. Also, SbB's news has already gotten debunked

The term Circle of Trust was used by SI writer Austin Murphy, not Urb himself.

All the numbers I've seen indicate that it will be around 23. With attrition, I could personally see around 25, though.

Anybody have one?
