When the author does not frame the issue without imflammatory rhetoric, or drawing questionable analogies, that is when you know you have encountered flamebait (which is really clickbait).

This is 100% a rumor planted by Woodson's agent.

That is a harder shot that it looked like in real time. A runner in the middle of the paint, with all momentum carrying forward. Watch that replay again, just watching the shooter's feet, and how he twists his body. Sure, if you are living or dying by allowing those shots, it will be a short Tourament run, but that is a lower percentage shot than a pull-up, under control, jumper, or allowing him to go all the way to the rim.

I'd rather play Ohio than the Huskers. What has hurt Michigan this year is teams with quick guards who can penetrate and/or hit 3's. Gallegos/Petteway have that slash/splash look, not so much Ohio.

Well, Michigan loses if GRIII does not drill the three to bring them to within 1.

Inside D got even worse when Morgan went out with 4 fouls.
They secured the 2 seed with the win. Anything else is now frosting.
|5 weeks 2 days ago||Actually thought it was good||
Actually thought it was good defense at the end there. Levert over-extend, over-playing the jump shot and taking it away, and then Michigan had help at the rim. Left the offensive player with only a runner, when he wanted to either pull up or go to the rim.
Still: luck haz a blue hue this morning (Pacific time).

I take your point re differing standards for acceptable conduct, but this I think you have to apply a reasonableness standard (reasonableness may vary a bit by the workplace, i.e. what's reasonable for bartenders in Vegas may not be for officer workers here in SF). I think we agree Richie crossed it here.

Did you actually read the report? The activity described there is not typical. It goes way beyond ribbing, or even hazing. It is way over the line.

Agree 100%. Here is a link to a summary of the worst of it. This would get you reprimanded, perhaps even fired, in any workplace in America. And rightfully so. You have to forget this is a lockerroom, or football. It is also a workplace, your teammates are co-workers, and the activities and insults described here are totally beyond the pale.

That is just delusional, on the Pistons' part.

That place just looks like college.
In my first years on campus, I usually went to Village Corner, and in later years Big 10 party store. Now Blue Front and Big 10 are gone, and VC moved away from campus. Brutal.

That is awesome. It has been a difficult three months for the Board, but things like this are why I keep coming back.

"If they don't like the deal, they have every right to enter the free market & sell their skills there." Not according to the United States Court of Appeal for the Second Circuit, they don't. Athletes have fought that battle and lost. The NFL and NBA, at the NCAA's request, require athletes to have post-high school experience. College players are barred from the relevant labor markets due to dubious regulatory concerns.
If you are truly a free-market thinker here, you say let colleges pay stars according to their potential value to the program. What you are supporting is actually a captured regulatory state.

Rewatching the last ten minutes. Levert and Stauskus got fouled on back to back possessions around the 4 minute mark. Beilein is rightfully livid.

Regarding (2), what was the issue with the Florida State game? Ugly loss, and the idea was that heads should roll?
|17 weeks 2 days ago||I make no attempt to say||
I make no attempt to say these are objective, but here are my most memorable moments:
1. Spike Albrecht's first half of the NCAA title game
2. Going for two at the end of the Ohio game
3. The Gardner/Gallon show against Notre Dame
4. The no-call to end the Niners/Ravens Superbowl
5. The goal line stand at the end of the Akron-Michigan game
6. Trey Burke's steal to ice the win against Michigan State
7. Papi's grandslam in the ALCS
8. Wisconsin half-court shot to force OT at Wisconsin, and OT loss
9. Trey Burke's deep 3 against Kansas in the Sweet 16
10. Missed field goals in OT against Penn State
Looking back there are more highs in an otherwise shittastic year than it felt like going through, but many of the football losses were just numbing and/or expected.

|17 weeks 4 days ago||LOL at the idea that the guy||
LOL at the idea that the guy is in line for a "big pay day." Who do you think has more of an incentive to lie: D J-K because he is "bitter"? Or Iowa and Ferentz to protect their multi-million dollar position, and largest revenue generating enterprise, respectively? It is a text-book PR move to paint a whistle-blower as someone who is "bitter," and has an "axe to grind."
Without knowing the quality of the information here it is hard to judge, but at the very least I say have an open mind.

Just seems to me like he would be USC's to lose. Even getting him to visit would be a surprise to me. West coast kids with pro ambitions should give Michigan serious consideration though. NFL schedules keep you on the move.
|17 weeks 6 days ago||Generous. But then I would||
Generous. But then I would not want to play Michigan as an #8. The schedule really eases up the next month and this is could be the lowest point in terms of projected seeding.
|17 weeks 6 days ago||I miss the Hell out of the||
I miss the Hell out of the years Lloyd Carr coached Michigan. I especially miss the years Michigan went 11-2, including 2006. I was in Pasadena on January 1, 2007 when Michigan played USC in the Rose Bowl, at a party on the golf course with dozens of friends and classmates, and I did not for one second think about where Ohio State was going for the Holidays. I would a billion times rather lose the Rose Bowl than win the Good Ol' Wild Wings Strip Mall Classic.

I was in West Quad, watching the Michigan/Duke game and Heisman trophy presentation. I bet you got some blowback in Tennessee. I visited Nashville last fall, and people were still pissed off about the Heisman--it was the first thing that came up when I mentioned I was a Michigan guy. Of course, I think Fulmer retaliated by voting Michigan #8 in the final Coach's poll at the end of the season.
