We planned to have the new site launched by now. That's been delayed at least to January. No sense in throwing money at old problems with this version of the site now. Bear with us.

Thanks man. Those were my dad's friend's tickets so that's where I sat for a lot of the games with my father. It meant a lot to me that someone else could have that experience since it was so important to me. You and your dad were a blast to watch the game with.
Let me know what the hell to do in Cadillac.
|3 days 4 hours ago||I didn't think I made that||
I didn't think I made that assumption. I think we pretty much agree except that while the basics of press coverage are easy to understand, GETTING IT DOWN is really really hard unless you're a natural.
There's a huge gap between "has no clue what he's doing" and "isn't coaching his competency." The latter is what I am really suggesting. Stopping a guy like Will Fuller is hard but doable; good coaches and lots of reps and talent make that possible. Roy hasn't developed a teaching system, and probably doesn't feel at all confident yet in pointing out problems as they're occurring. At the very least I think we understand now why Countess was getting passed by guys in spring and fall. I don't think it's such a great leap to think that if Manning is seeing his guys just can't do press that he's not confident enough yet in himself to tell a guy like Greg Mattison "you can't do the defense you want to; you're making the 2nd best cornerback in the conference look like shit."
Criticizing a coach on the internet is tough because so many people will assume you're like "FIRE THIS GUY!" or at the least they should move him. I think the most we should be asking at this point is that Roy is getting some more help. No WAY that guy is going to be a Lloyd Carr or Nick Saban defensive backs coach his first year when he's never played or coached it before. And no, Mallory and Mattison et al. can't be over his shoulder when they've got their own units (and in Mattison's case the entire defense and half of Michigan's recruiting, and being basically Hoke's associate HC in all but name) on their plates.

Winner. Let me get him his tickets and then i will follow up on some of the runner ups. I know one person below offered tickets and I also have a pair to throw in because it looks like there were three deserving candidates.

I already asked her but she had knee surgery not too long ago and has the second knee scheduled so climbing steps isn't really her thing. But nice thought; she's a wonderful lady.

Since Dave Brandon is probably making the discussion 99% about will the fans like it or not every time he has a new marketing initiative like we do, it's weird that he gets so much backlash from it.
|4 days 11 hours ago||Our schedule was pretty||
Our schedule was pretty tight; I figured during the day Thursday at least gives people time if they want to pick up ingredients on the way home to do this for Saturday, but during the day has so much football content I didn't want to interrupt it.
Like a radio hour of funk on a classic rock channel, it is appreciated content for those who know to come by in the morning for it, and doesn't fling it in the face of people who didn't come for it.
But I can be convinced to move the schedule around. I don't want to do it for lunch hour because that's just mean.

You're thinking of Schutt? I don't remember why Michigan turned him away bit I think you are correct that they did.
Day was just outside the 247 composite top 100 so he was pretty highly regarded.

|1 week 3 days ago||Yeah Morris and Murray were||
Yeah Morris and Murray were actually the last two picks I made--I draft RBs last because I never seem to get value out of stars except when Adrian Peterson was in beast mode.
Ben Tate: $5,200, and is playing Pittsburgh who is Pittsburgh and thus would be keyed against the run even if the Browns had a quarterback.
Pierce is indeed cheap ($4200)--he's also coming off a concussion and first day back from head injuries tends to be rough.
Morris is $5800 and Murray is $6800. So I guess with the difference I could upgrade Brady to Brees. My line of thinking was I got to RB and still had a ton of cash to blow because I was happy with all my other picks. I think I got some steals with Cooks and Washington.
|1 week 3 days ago||It is legal except in states||
It is legal except in states that passed online poker laws--if you're from one of those states DK won't let you sign up. You're not playing against a "house"; you're in league pools.
Before we began advertising with Draft Street (who joined/were aquired by DK this year) I did some thorough research on the business and how they do things, because I feel culpable for your experiences with our partners, and the entirety of the value of this site is in how much faith the readership has in us.
I haven't checked played every competitor's games but I know there's a lot of them because they all contacted us a few years ago and despite our relationship with DK they continue to contact us, and I did try a few at that time to get a feel for the market. There were subtle differences between different things at the time (different draft types, how they valuated positions, etc.) that ultimately didn't change much about the games. The only thing that stuck out to me at all about DK was they seemed to value pitchers more. What stood out about DS's interface was the shit-talk feed.
Among all of these, what impressed me about Larry was the first phone call we had it wasn't about how much money they could spend with us; it was all about how the users' point of view: What games would your readers want? What assureties can we show them? Etc. I've made good and bad business deals, and it seems to me the good ones are usually those who had the most focus on the customer and the quality of the thing the customer gets. At the time I was like "this guy GETS it." Our experiences since then have only reinforced that.

Trying to find the right balance between that and "more free content is good."
I'm REALLY pushing the staff this year (though not the first time) to keep the jumps early so that people don't have to scroll very far to get to the next article if the one on top isn't their thing.
I do keep a posting schedule and there's supposed to be an average of 1.5 hours between posts.
Why is Hokepoints the thing you mentioned though? Dear Diary I get why it's tedious to some, but Hokepoints is the weekly "I'm going to put a ton of hours into a longform thing that addresses something we're all wondering about" post. I won't lie: coming up with one every week isn't easy, but I was under the impression you at least liked that stuff.

|1 week 6 days ago||Here's your listening for||
Here's your listening for today:
"Death of Optimus Prime" is the signature dirge of my generation. You play that for Generation X'ers and we'll all be sad, and probably not realize why. And it's on the same album as Lion's solo in the title song, and The Touch, and Dare, and a Weird Al song and...what did we do at that age to deserve the kind of thought and effort that went into this movie?
This was for a cartoon based on a flimsy premise to sell a neat idea for toys, and the cartoon was standard '80s Saturday morning chum (we ate it up nevertheless), probably on par with G.I. Joe in storytelling.
They could have made a 120-minute toy ad and we would have bought it. I imagine a studio today would say "make a 120-minute toy ad and don't put any more thought than that into it."
("...and get that Bay guy with all the explosions").
But they made THIS. It's not just the music. To kill off an icon like Optimus at the start of the movie, then eject everyone into space, created a titanic sense of being totally lost as the plot progressed. The filmography, even, was amazing. Remember in the cartoon you would have a static background and watch characters melt into their car forms from a static shot. This one has a shadowcasting spaceship attack, a view of Hot Rod transforming from the undercarriage, and as he accelerates toward base we get "Dare!"
As they say in that not-famous-enough scene: Holy Shit!
Whether or not the live action version for another generation was any good, the cartoon they made for our generation WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Why is this film not a pop culture icon on the level of Legend of Zelda and Python?zk_w1YAI

The DE had come off his block and was running right at Gardner, forcing a throw on the run. Bad description but the point stands.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||Man I don't know how you got||
Man I don't know how you got so many negs because I wholly agree and I thought it jumped off the screen that Smith was better. I fully expect him to come out far ahead in the UFR. He had better balance, better vision, and was especially better on contact. Green got more open holes and finally took advantage of them later on while Smith got every yard that the OL made for him except those from breaking away, something Green couldn't do either.
Smith had his long RRRAAAAGE run right about the TV announcers were talking about 40 times. He got caught from behind then ran in 9(?) yards for a TD the next play when it looked like he had no space to do that.

Yes, Scout, you were the first with the rankings again. Congratulations Scout.
Full head of hair. Already 10 lbs and hand-sucking so more college-ready than most of her class. Requsite Coachquote :
Coach sounds excited.
1'10, 10 lbs.
FAKE 40 TIME
Kind of looked around at things for 40 seconds but not sure if she was really focusing on anything and that was reported by obviously biased parents. Four FAKEs out of five.
PREDICTION BASED ON FLIMSY EVIDENCE
Definite pinkshirt. Works her way around the house after a year to pick up locomotion.
UPSHOT FOR THE REST OF THE CLASS
With Seth's, Bryan Fuller's and Adam Schnepp's babies already in the 2014 class it's gonna be a fierce competition for playing time behind Upchurch's brood. Business meetings might have to be scheduled during these playing times. MGoBlog appears done with its 2014 recruiting and is moving on to the 2015 class.

Wheatley isn't 100% to go to Michigan. His dad made it clear that he's not pressuring his son, and while he's a Michigan fan he's approaching the process with an open mind. You can't fault him for that.
I'm guessing Roseboro only held off his announcement because it has become customary for recruits to try to time their commitments in the way that maximizes how much Ace is screwed. I'd say hours before the season would be a Level 4 trolling. Half a class agreeing to commit in a 2-day period after a Michigan-Ohio State basketball game is a 10.
