I say

we take off and nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure...

Congratulations!

Congrats, Max, and make sure he starts talking up Michigan with his fellow recruits...you know, as soon as he starts to talk! My dad had me saying "Go Blue!" when I was 2.

This is new...

Great update as always, Tim. Don't think I've ever had to hope recruiting SLOWS DOWN for a "normal" update. I guess I'll just have to deal with it!

They're saying "Boo-urns!" Are you saying "boo" or "Boo-urns?"
Best/Worst. Game. Ever.

First off, this was one of the greatest games I've ever witnessed at the Big House or otherwise.

To me this joins the pantheon of contests including '97 Ohio State - for Charles' Heisman-clinching performance and sending us to a Championship Rose Bowl.  (The subsequent game's in there, too)  Patting Woodson and Hutchinson on their backs down on the field, with roses in their teeth, and watching 65 year-old strangers lighting up cigars on the 50 yard line remains my quintessential Michigan Moment.

That being said, I don't think the excitement of that game matched last Saturday.  I've had season tickets in one capacity or another since I was 13, and I've never heard the Big House as loud as it was during this 4th quarter.  This comeback brought back flashes of '95 Virginia, yet this game meant a helluva lot more to the program.  This season we've been waiting for this new coaching staff and their young team to prove to us and to themselves that this grand experiment could work.  Overcoming horrendous turnovers and a huge point-deficit to beat the #9 team in the country gives this team the confidence to move forward.  If you didn't subscribe to Rich Rodriguez and this team before, you should now.  (of course, I'm preaching to the converted with this audience)  By no means am I saying that we're out of the woods, but the guts and flashes of brilliance Saturday affirm our belief in this team.  Great game.  Go Blue.

...and if you booed at half-time, may God have mercy on your soul.

Are They Still Using That?

I don't know.  If some mediocre movie came out about wolverines, or maize, or... uh, WVU coach-stealing, and we suddenly co-opted that into our football identity and tradition, I might have to re-consider breathing.  I guess what I'm trying to say is, we need to get a hold of Hugh Jackman immediately...
