I thought an interesting…

I thought an interesting point in the article was when Albom stated that Coach " is convinced he can find great players within the portal as well as in his recruiting class".  Maybe things are changing in regard to transfers?

Any word??

Any word on the posters?  I sent payment on August 15 for 2.....inquired with a couple of emails to Gordon.....and no reply or posters yet.

i feel sorry for the players.

the coaching job, or lack thereof, was painful to watch.  i have watched Michigan play "not to lose" for years.  we have some of the best athletes in the country and the coaches refuse to use them.  lets run, run, run and run some more!!!!  the coaches deserved to lose this game...the kids did not.

Are we recruiting anyone from Byrnes HS in South Carolina?

While watching the game over the weekend versus Apoketa, FL, I noticed someone wearing a Michigan polo and hat on the Byrnes sidelines.

1975 Missouri...

I was eight years old.  My dad took our Cub Scouts and we bought tickets to get in at the stadium.  We actually sat in the aisle!  Rick Leach and Rob Lytle were my favorites at that young age.  I have been hooked ever since.

I wouldn't mind seeing....

South Carolina or Clemson.  I live in SC now and would love to see the Wolverines down here.

Simps...

what bar in Charleston are you talking about?  I live in the area as well.

lawyer?

How funny...or should i say "sad" that he has a lawyer!

I think some of us let our emotions

get to us.  If indeed the ND game jerseys are Maize...so what?  Enjoy them, embrace them.  Go buy one if you wish.  I think they will look great!  Worried about breaking tradition?  Maize jerseys have been worn before...1964? maybe?  As far as the Rawk music.....turn to page 259-260 of "Bo's Lasting Lessons" about the South Carolina Gamecocks entering the stadium to the theme song from 2001: A Space Odyssey.  His exact quote : "  That is how you take the field.  THAT is college football!  All will be well people.

I would like to see Loeffler as OC

i could live with that

Hurry...

someone find out what Herbstreit is saying!

that anything may be possible

that anything may be possible at this point

it seems
Had too many

beers.  Sorrry for the sarcasm...really depressed about the game and season.

No anti CC talk...

"anti" means against....So no talk against a CC today...Great, lets talk about the THE CHANGE then.  Do you think DB will let Magee stay as the OC?

anti CC ?
anti CC ?
I'll be at home

watching with my wife and twin daughters

probably watch the Rose Bowl live and dvr the Outback

we'll be having Sam Adams winter lager and/or Cherry wheat

i'll try again...

i cannot help but remember the photo of Bo and the 4 previous head coaches: Fritz Crisler, Bennie Oosterbaan, Harry Kipke and Bump Elliot.  Just think if Carr would have helped in the transition.  I do hold it against Carr.....he may not have said anything publicy against Rodriguez but he hasnt supported him either.

I cannot help but remember the
Rooting for State....? No, I am not.
2 distinct memories... My first and last visits to Michigan Stadium. First trip in 1975. I was 8 years old and we played Missouri. We were rated 10 or 12 and Mizzou was like 5th in the country. My dad took my Cub scout troop... without tickets! We paid the admission and sat in the aisle! On the steps. We beat em pretty convincingly also. Finished the year 8-2-2. Last game was in 1988. We played Illinois and won he game. We finished 9-2-1. But what I remember was meeting coach Schembechler before the game and getting to shake his hand. Met coach Hanlon as well. I live in South Carolina now and haven't been to a game since.
I too still love Michigan football saturdays... I LOVE it when my twins see someone in line at the grocery store with an OSU jersey on and say " Is that the bad team daddy?" I love the excitement that builds up inside me leading up to kickoff. And as poorly as the linebackers are..I LOVE MICHIGAN FOOTBALL. Don't panic, we will get better.
WOW! That is a surprise. I live in the Charleston area and followed his season this year. It's always great to see our recruits have a good game and lead their team.
Do ESPN and da Freep sit around together and see just what kind of garbage they can come up with concerning Michigan?
After the second try... I thought for sure one of two plays would be tried: Fake hand-off up the middle and a little toss to the TE or get someone outside the whole pile and walk into the end zone. Didn't happen....
At some point we MUST show improvement. We haven't done that in a LONG while..
I didn't imply I wanted anyone else... I asked a simple question?
Maybe... Rich Rod should start calling the plays. I am WAY not impressed with our offense the way its been playing lately.
Has any one else HAD ENOUGH YET?
Has anyone else... HAD ENOUGH OF THIS YET?
Oh crap...don't neg me... for the extra " to " I left in there!
Yes...I would expect even Cone to throw to a completion to a wide open receiver!
Every pass DRob has had intercepted this season has looked more or less like a " throw it deep and see what happens" type of deal. Two receivers, Minor and Odoms, were open 20-25 yards underneath, I mean WIDE open. As for placing the blame on Rich Rod for putting DRob in "that" position...hog crap. He was the freaking quarterback for Michigan...make the dang play! Tate wasn't making them either. I dont blame the coach for expecting his quarterbacks to be able to throw passes to wide open receivers.

Graphs? What the heck? I would have went for 2 after the second touchdown simply because of the way the team had come back to score twice at the end of the game. Put the dagger completely through the heart and end the dang thing! Was Tate tired? Was the whole team tired? YES. The little bit of rest before the start of overtime really didn't work out, did it? Go by the seat of your darn pants, score the 2 point conversion and feel the spirit of thousands of Sparty fans just leave the stadium!
Desmonds tie... If you watched Game Day you would have heard Desmonds reply, something to the effect of: " Since when are States colors lime green? No , I am not wearing their colors".
We could just as easily be have been 5-0 after the State game as 2-2 going into it. We played horribly for 3 1/2 quarters and still tied the darn thing up. I looked over to my wife and said.." I'd go for 2 and the win right now". We had State reeling and we really had nothing to lose....except the game! In hindsight that really didn't matter though.
Eric Anderson.... is not the DC at Western Michigan, Steve Morrison is.
How many passes did he catch? I really think we could use him WAY more than we are now. I mean actually throwing to him more.
Notre Dame... is NOT a bad team. We were well prepared offensively and Tate Forcier played wonderfully. I don't know how many times I wanted to punch the TV watching our corners get beat on a regular basis. The offense is starting to roll and will hopefully continue to do so.
Don't be too hard on him.. he did have a key reception earlier IIRC.
Root for Ohio State? I NEVER root for them. I cheer for them to lose their Spring game!
8 years ago.... today, I was sleeping when the phone rang. I rushed downstairs and turned on the TV. Tears streamed down my face as I witnesses the unthinkable... I'm a cop here in SC and just hurt so bad for my fellow law enforcement officers, as well as firefighters, who lost their lives that day. I still hurt to this day thinking of it.
My game day tradition: It it's a noon start time I usually read the Detroit newspapers online while deciding on the menu for during the game. I put put on my home #15 or away #7 depending on the location. I then remove anything that may cause damage when thrown away from the tv. I hunker down in the leather recliner, one of my twins usually get up in my lap and we enjoy the best football team in America!
South Caroline I'll be watching from my house in Charleston , SC
2006 Ohio State game My neighbor at the time was a huge Ohio State fan and after the game we both agreed it was one of the best games we had seen!
These players would surely make my list: Tripp Welbourne, Rick Leach, Steve Morrison, Harlan Huckleby, Bubba Paris, John Wrangler and one of my all time favorites Jamie Morris.
Been a fan all my life.... Saw my first game in 1975 when I was 8 years old. We played Missouri. I was in Cub Scouts and my dad took our whole troop to the game without tickets. We paid, they let us in, we sat in the aisle facing the scoreboard. I remember it as if it wasn't quite that long ago! I was born in LaSalle, MI and went to Erie-Mason High School. Met Bo in 1989 while on a recruiting trip with my younger brother. They were recruiting him to grayshirt. Took a tour of the stadium and weight room with I believe Jerry Hanlon. Moved to SC in 1994. I get terribly nervous before every game and insanely angry after a loss! I really believe we should win every game we play!
