The three and outs and the turnovers didn't help the D at all. There were lapses, without a doubt; but if you look at the overall picture, and not one long TD run at the end, you SHOULD be moderately pleased with the defense. |

.... highlights have you seen of FLoyd 10 yards past a DB, reeling in 70 yard bombs? More than 5, I assure you. Boo Boo kept Floyd in front of him, for the most part, and didn't give up a home run. He didn't have a great game, but I'm fine with it. He did well with the pressure the Dline was getting. |

Why complain about the 2006 draft? The 2007 draft? The 2008 draft? Exactly. One Good draft can turn the corner for a frachise. If you choose turds three years in a row, your franchise will suffer, as proven by the Detroit Lions. |

| 4 years 3 weeks ago | Agreed |
And with the QB's coming out next year, plus the free agent QB's, the QB need could be addressed with an Oline and defense on the upswing. Both of those(along with a running game) are a rookie QB's best friend. |
| 4 years 3 weeks ago | right.. |
.....because the spread that Bradford and McCoy run are the same as Brennan and Couch ran. The spread, in some form, has become more prevalent in the past 5-10 years, and I propose that the NFL will follow trends and institute more spread offenses in the future. |

| 4 years 3 weeks ago | A song for the Threet haters. |
(To the tune of Where the Streets have no name.) He can't run I'm glad he'll feel sunlight on his face I want to remove him from my brain Where Steve Threet is to blame The kid played his ass off. Get over it. |

Way to support a kid that stayed even after the coach that brought him to AA left, learned a completely new offense, played hurt, and left respectfully when it didn't work out. He did everything that could have been asked of him, and more, yet you still want to bag on him. |

| 4 years 11 weeks ago | I see |
I see the parallels you are trying to draw here, but they don't work. I know college kids drink, and I also know that UM has had it's share of troubles with alcohol. |

.... sounds like the bass player for The Misfits, Danzig, or the Necromantix. |
| 4 years 28 weeks ago | I agree |
with you, except for the Sherridan being accurate. Accurate does not apply to any QB on the UM roster at present. The best QB will win the job next year, and I am a firm believer that it will be a healthy Threet. |
| 4 years 28 weeks ago | That's ... |
entirely true. My misunderstanding doesn't make you an idiot. |
| 4 years 28 weeks ago | I think one said.. |
"No more pizza buffet" |
| 4 years 28 weeks ago | Well.. |
.. the crux of the post is Threet in the system. Implying something other than that could lead to misinterpretation, as it did.
|
| 4 years 28 weeks ago | Pretty sure |
That I know how to read. "I agree that Threet will probably improve in the off-season. However, Threet transferred in the summer of 2007. He practiced with the team in fall camp, during the season, and through the bowl season. It's not like he and Rodriguez showed up at the exact same time." That statement doesn't say anything about mechanics. The post above does, and makes sense. |
| 4 years 28 weeks ago | And .. |
... it's kind of hard to make a read when a converted D lineman is starting on the O-line. When the line play improves, I'm sure Threet will, too. |
| 4 years 28 weeks ago | Right ... |
... because the offense in the fall camp and the bowl season is the same one UM is running now. That makes total sense why you think he sucks. You don't know what you're talking about. |
| 4 years 28 weeks ago | I would say... |
Crable as Boba: scary as hell, but went out like a bitch. Henne as skywalker- maligned, but played hurt and finished strong. Henson as Darth Maul - destined for greatness, but got skewered. Minor as Lando - looked good, stumbled a bit, then came back as a stallion. |
| 4 years 28 weeks ago | ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR........ |
.........GGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
| 4 years 28 weeks ago | LOL ... |
.. that's good. These other 80 DC's - who are they playing ? How good is their offense? Do they have anything better than a rag tag O-line and a QB with half an arm? It's easy to compile good defensive STATISTICS if your D is never on the field. |

I didn't mean the actual length of the post as far a space , I was referring to the usual youtubers attention span in general. I should have been more specific. |
| 4 years 31 weeks ago | I had no idea |
anyone that commented on youtube could write anything that long. Couldn't he have said "OMG! W R teh Suxxors!" ? |
| 4 years 31 weeks ago | I concur |
Defense would be Irons and Woodson. Offense would have to be Wheatley and Ricky Powers. Powers is my first memory of M football. He had the longest stride ever, kinda like Marcus Allen. Not a great player, but a great memory for me. |
| 4 years 31 weeks ago | Did your family |
get government assistance when you lived at home? Because your statement assures me that you have some kind of dysfunction. Abandon everything they've been taught, install a different offense, and still suck out loud. That's what you're saying. You ever think that they players that are playing right now might be in the right places at the right times after a year in the system ? Maybe that after a year or so, Threet will be able to hit wide open receivers? "The zone read that we run for 50% of our plays doesn't work unless the defense thinks the QB will ever keep the ball. Threet a) never keeps the ball and b) even if he does...who cares?" I'm not sure if you actually check statistics, but Threet is the second leading rusher on the team. Did you watch the Illinois game? I guess Threet didn't do anything with his feet there. It's 6 goddamn games, people. Young team. Ease the fuck up. |

| 4 years 33 weeks ago | It looks ... |
like the 3/4 complete Death Star right now. Just wait 'til the laser works. |
| 4 years 33 weeks ago | I really think |
that Threet will be GOOD. Now, after next year, he will probably be used situationally, which sucks. He's had 4 starts in Div-1 football. He's doing well. I see a bunch of positives. The negatives, I believe, are from him trying too hard, not lack off skill. |
| 4 years 33 weeks ago | digressing |
I'm digressing over here. |
| 4 years 33 weeks ago | It's as stupid |
as the original post. You quantified YPC. Those are the leaders in yds per carry. And as for "veteran", I'm not sure Grady and Minor qualify as veterans, seeing how they have as much time IN THIS SYSTEM as the rest of the backs. Neither Grady or Minor have more than 170 carries tota(which is low for a season, not to mentio 2 or 3 seasons)l, because they played behind Hart. If "veteran" means being on campus, and a member of the team, then yes, that would fit. What's the difference between one attempt and 10 ? I'm pretty sure the guy that came up with the offense recognizes the personnel that he wants to run it. |
| 4 years 33 weeks ago | sorry |
Mesko and shaw. Shaw - 8.1 YPC Mesko - 13 YPC If your opinion is based on yards per carry, this is your backfield. If you seriously think that McGuffie's YPC is in direct relation to his running ability, than you might want to check out other sports. It's very hard to gain yardage when the team that's trying to stop you is already 2 yards past the line of scrimmage ON YOUR SIDE. |
| 4 years 33 weeks ago | With this logic |
Threet and Zoltan should start in the power I. |

| 4 years 33 weeks ago | After re-reading |
..your post(in a sarcastic tone). I see what you were saying. You should have used the sarcasm font. Now, re-read my post. I never once said I was better than anyone.I just think it's very counter productive to the team if you boo. And, yes, I can say I've never booed a Michigan athelete. After the time-out, Jamar Adams' inability to tackle ANYONE, App State, Oregon, That A Train fumble, no one being able to tackle Maroney,etc,etc,etc.. I've never once booed, and I never will. |
| 4 years 33 weeks ago | Right |

| 4 years 33 weeks ago | Pahokee |

| 4 years 33 weeks ago | If Hill is.. |
the Winnebago, what does that make Threet ? |
| 4 years 33 weeks ago | well.. |
PJ Hill - 70 yds |
| 4 years 33 weeks ago | No |
booing a team you support is completely unacceptable. The only thing I could ever see myself booing for is a lack of effort or quitting. Even though the offense was struggling, players were trying. No one quit. What are you supposed to do at halftime? Encourage. You don't have to cheer, but encourage them. Staying there is one form of showing support. Most of the fans that stayed were supportive when the second half started, even though the first 2 drives stalled. |
| 4 years 33 weeks ago | You shouldn't |
...call thenm interceptions any more. They're "air fumbles", as coined by a live commenter during the game. |

| 4 years 34 weeks ago | I like it. |
I like the block M better, though. |
| 4 years 34 weeks ago | If this was a law in Florida |
I would be on death row. |
| 4 years 34 weeks ago | Question ? |
You think ND's good performance might have been because they knew Ringer was going to get the ball 80% of the time ? |
| 4 years 34 weeks ago | one examines and judges some 18-22 year old kid |
.. just like if a kid makes a stupid play, but that's OK, right ? |
| 4 years 34 weeks ago | The thing that worries |
me is the LB's having to cover the 2 very good TE's(Beckum and I can't remember) that Wisco has. |
| 4 years 34 weeks ago | I'm lost here. |
So, it's fine for everyone to make fat jokes and call MSU little brother, but when a story surfaces about players from a rival team fucking up, then it's trivial? This guy got off his first offense(DUI) because he was a TE at ND, then stepped on his chicken bag again, for another alcohol related offense. I don't know why people care? Maybe because it's college football ? |
| 4 years 34 weeks ago | Support the school ? |
I wore my UM shirt to the UF-Hawaii game. It wasn't very pretty. |
| 4 years 34 weeks ago | See |
| 4 years 34 weeks ago | I attended |
no fewer than 10 games at Jordan Hare, to include the first Iron Bowl played there. It's loud. I saw a 50 year old man fighting a 16 year old kid before the game. The eagle is pretty cool, and they used to have a live tiger on campus. Also, there is a little jail in the bottom of the stadium, made completely out of chicken wire. I still have the scar on my calf from said wire. Do.Not.Run.On.Field. |
| 4 years 34 weeks ago | Digression |
is a dish best served NOW. Agree to disagree, fellas. Have a great day ! |
| 4 years 34 weeks ago | It's not like Grady. |
If Grady got caught for an alcohol related offense again, then it would be like him. I drank underage, I can't point fingers for that. But, I didn't get a DUI for driving on the sidewalk, get off because I was a football player, and then step on my crank 8 months later resisting arrest, and WITH ALCOHOL AGAIN.
|
| 4 years 34 weeks ago | This is true |
burt someone had to line up behind center, and do the whole QB thing.
Chris- I'm from Fl, and surf. I say dude more than you, trust me. |
| 4 years 34 weeks ago | Dude !! |
I know. He would have had beter numbers if Stoval and company would've actually .. you know.... receivered some passes, instead of dropping them. I thnk there were 8+ drops. I'm really not bagging on him. I like him. It's usually when I start believing in him that he flops miserably. Except '97. Love you, Brian |
| 4 years 34 weeks ago | Dey .... |
took owr jaaaaaaaabbbbbsssss!!!!!!!!!!! |
| 4 years 34 weeks ago | Refreshing |
to say the least. Maybe a play or 2, here or there for the rest of the season. I'm quite sure it won't be the feature style of the Dolphins. Fun to watch, for sure. |

| 4 years 35 weeks ago | Funniest quote on TSN re: injury |
"He won't get the surgery because the doctors told him he couldn't eat after 6PM the night before" I'm sorry. I'm a child. |
| 4 years 35 weeks ago | No |
If a kid really wants to play for RR, he'll have watched the games. If he's watched the games, he'll see what's going on: improvement and good coaching. If he can't see that, then maybe it's not the type of player RR would have wanted. At worst, he would see that there is an opportunity to start if he can beat anyone on the current roster. That is porved by the amount of freshmen actually playing. Safeties should be chomping at the bit to get to UM. |
| 4 years 35 weeks ago | Good. |
He's learning. Not completely dominant yet, but learning. |
| 4 years 35 weeks ago | Lay off |
Seriously, down 18, in a monsoon, and his 3rd game. Sherridan didn't have any type of Clausen hype. Don't expect the world from him He went in and played hard. Nothing went right for UM in that game. He didn't lose the game. I'm sure in a year or 2, he'll be a great back up to Forcier. |
| 4 years 35 weeks ago | UM won the game .. |
... except for the score part. Truthfully, if I was an ND fan, I could see that. ND had one drive. That's all they actually "earned"(as the announcers put it). O line looked good, McGuffie is a gumby-like stud, and besides a safety who's name I won't say, the secondary looked serviceable. I have the ultimate faith in RR and crew. |
| 4 years 35 weeks ago | I ... |
...stabeed my effigy of Doug Flutie over and over again after I heard him say that. |
| 4 years 35 weeks ago | Agreed. |
1. The first call on Warren was BS. 2. The Matthews TD is excusable. If the ref would have called it a catch, it would have stood. I can't complain too much about that. 3. The 2nd PI call on Warren is tenuous at best. he ND player would have had to jump backwards out of the end zone to have been anywhere near the ball. 4. No one has mentioned the BS chop block call. |

The only thing that kept me from falling on my sword yesterday is that besides the turnovers(which I know are horrible), UM looked good. I wasn't scared when Threet had the ball, and the McGuffie hype is coming to fruition. |
| 4 years 35 weeks ago | Wet balls |
I think Hammond and crew actually get paid per positive ND comment. Oh, and she said "They played with wet balls". Classic. |
| 4 years 35 weeks ago | As much as ... |
... I don't want it to feel good that that happened, I do. |
| 4 years 36 weeks ago | He still have any eligibilty ? |
Can he run ? |
| 4 years 36 weeks ago | photoshop/t shirt ? |
Weis with a "Gravy-ade" cup ? |
| 4 years 36 weeks ago | I'll restate my opinion on this video. |
Is anyone else disturbed by this ? The kid is amazing, without a doubt, but do we need slo-mo and editing? He's playing against pre teen kids, ans I think the editing is a bit much. More than likely the video is made by the parents already banking on their payday. |
| 4 years 36 weeks ago | Isn't a nose tackle |
supposed to plug up the middle and take double teams? I thought that's what his job was. Stop the run, and if he gets a sack, it's party time, excellent? Not to bag on you here, my man, but I like the D line play so far. If anything, it's the LB's that are lacking(not sucking, mind you). |
| 4 years 36 weeks ago | I'm with you |
... on the D looking good, but.... remember Utah was ahead, and kept running that FB/RB dive over and over. The Utah offense wasn,t exactly wide open in the second half. That being said, I like what the defense is doing. MOAR PLZ. |
| 4 years 36 weeks ago | You should.. |
try "Kill 'em all" instead. Metal Militia, 4 horsemen, and Hit the lights. Good stuff. |
| 4 years 36 weeks ago | Agreed. |
At least 30, since UM has no offensive threat. |
| 4 years 36 weeks ago | As much as .. |
.... I dislike that kid, he is a pretty tough mofo. Furthermore, I loathe Brady Quinn as well, but he took an ass whipping and kept playing. |
| 4 years 36 weeks ago | One of the reasons |
.. that the SDSU QB didn't get sacked is that he was a quick, efficient passer. |
| 4 years 37 weeks ago | Must have.. |
... been all those player documents RR shredded. |
| 4 years 37 weeks ago | He should ... |
..change his name to "Sievie" Brown. Get it?
I'm sorry. |
| 4 years 37 weeks ago | Agreed |
... no one said anything about cocaine. Forcier better step it up. |
| 4 years 37 weeks ago | Wow .. |
The next 2 highlights on the que are Newsome and Mallett.. WWWaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! |
| 4 years 37 weeks ago | I hope |
..UM will be able to run the option like Vandy did soon. |
| 4 years 37 weeks ago | I think.. |
.. that UM got much of the "bad juju" out in that game. The nervousness, all the questions, the freshmen, etc. Not that there aren't glaring weaknesses, but they got the worst out of the way. It was horrible. I'm not seeing a complete turnaround, but I look for the team to be looser and play better this week. |
| 4 years 37 weeks ago | Agreed. |
The man gave a pep talk to the Knicks, dammit. That was probably the best part of Gameday last year. Sucks that ESPN went away from something that was actually entertaining. |
| 4 years 37 weeks ago | MLBHG ? |
Michigan line backer hating god? |
| 4 years 37 weeks ago | Nice... |
...to see Spain back in the mix. |
| 4 years 37 weeks ago | Adjustments..... |
....people, adjustments. I saw 'em, and I liked 'em. Show me one adjustment you saw in the past 15 years. |
| 4 years 37 weeks ago | To say the QB... |
.... stuation is dire is an understatement. The O-line didn't play well, as expected. The D in the first half was abysmal. UM lost. But, I'm not as down as I usually am after a loss. I saw a team that didn't quit. Even though they were challenged, they didn't roll over. I actually saw adjustments. I saw players that were well conditioned. A loss still stings, but they are positives. It will come. It'll be ugly before it does, but UM's time will come. I think a bigger disappointment was how App State got destroyed.

| 4 years 38 weeks ago | Trying to... |
arrange government shipments and comment .... DON'T DO IT. Correction noted. I take no offense at all. If I was dumb enough to type it, I should be able to accept the correction. |
| 4 years 38 weeks ago | I predict ... |
I will use explicatives. Alot. |
| 4 years 38 weeks ago | It's almost like Christmas eve... |
.. will I get an Xbox 360 elite, or a an exploding box of schrapnel and cholera? Either way is fine by me. Saturday can not get here fast enough. |
| 4 years 38 weeks ago | The thing that I won't miss.... |
... is that 10 pound lump of fear in my stomach when UM is up less than 7 points with 8 minutes to go. What I will miss is pretty much everything else. Saturday will be a weird, weird day for sure. |
| 4 years 39 weeks ago | If ... |
..you have field turf in your helmet, that's bad. |
| 4 years 39 weeks ago | When ... |
....Ryan Mallett was presented his diploma, he fumbled it. |
| 4 years 39 weeks ago | Ricky Powers |
..is the 1st UM running back I remember. He used to take very, very long strides, a la Marcus Allen. He looked like a gazelle. |
| 4 years 40 weeks ago | when I ... |
....see her face, punching is not the first thing I think of. The back of her head is a whole different story, though. |
| 4 years 40 weeks ago | In that first one.. |
... does Griese have a beer in his left hand ? |
| 4 years 40 weeks ago | I'd think.. |
.. you were more credible if you were Chris Spielman's backup. |
| 4 years 40 weeks ago | I'll throw ... |
.. my 2 cents in here. Rachel Nichols is way hotter. I'd still do very, very dirty things to her, though. |
| 4 years 40 weeks ago | We're ..... |
getting away from the real issue here. How awesome is Misty May's ass ? That is one high grade pooper. |
| 4 years 40 weeks ago | Warren .. |
is the lovechild of EA. 3rd year in my Dynasty, and he's a 98 overall. I had 8 picks in the first 4 games with him on heisman. Almost not even fair. |
