I bought a pair from Ticketmaster already. My buddy paid out the nose for a pair of MSU tickets last year so I thought I'd beat the rush and sell (and hopefully break even) if we dont make it to Indy

When you purchase the tickets, youll get a link to view the PDF of your tickets. You can print it out and that paper works like a regular ticket

Pretty sure this ticket was on stubhub for about 30 seconds. Compulsive refreshing pays off kids!

It's in the rulebook:
Section 1; Article 3b: "When the referee declares that the game is ended, the score is final."

Ramzy at 11W has a great (though obviously OSU slanted) article about this kind of phenomenon, about how you can hate or love one player depending on the jersey they're wearing. I think we see the same thing here with Harbaugh
Eye roll at the OSU stuff but it's a good read nonetheless

Will they scan your mobile Stubhub ticket at the gate off of your phone? I know they do for basketball, but not sure about football. For basketball, I usually sit in the parking lot for 20-30 minutes before tip off looking for a cheap ticket. It works pretty well

Bought tickets on a Stubhub-surfing whim to the Iowa basketball game a few years ago. Black ice from 696 all the way to Ann Arbor. I got to 275 and decided that since I made it that far (and didnt want to try and exit and spin out), I'd just complete the trip. Left with enough time to get there about 30 minutes early on a normal day, arrived at the under-8 minute timeout of the 2nd half. Michigan wins! Promptly turn around and drive back home.

No allegience to either, but headed to Macomb Dakota vs Orchard Lake St Mary's tonight. Glad to finally get my football fix and also see Michigan commit Josh Ross in person. Should be a packed house!
|17 weeks 4 days ago||How to fix baseball:||
1.) Narrow the infield lines
2.)Eliminate 1st and 3rd base. Move 2nd base out about 300 feet from home plate.
3.) Instead of hitting the ball, the batter has to catch what the pitcher throws and take it to 2nd base in 4 tries
4.) The pitcher and infield can try to stop him
5.) To avoid injury, use a softer ball
6.) When the runner doesn't score, he tosses the ball back to the pitcher and the process reverses, except the batter and his team try and stop the pitcher

but we're not winners, or even losers. We're fans. We don't have any impact whatsoever on this season besides noise in the stadium. I would like to win the championship as much as anybody, but I would also like to have reasonable expectations and not plummet into the depths of my despair when the team inevitably loses a game.

It will be interesting to see how Donlon and Beilein will mesh (or at least read about it in 5 years in J Bacon's new book) being on opposite ends of the skill-set spectrum. A step-up on defense really alleviates any offensive woes. It felt at times last year that we had to match our opponents shot for shot if we were going to have any chance. A few more stops per game makes a lot of difference and can generate some easy buckets on the other end

Rahk was consistently our best option to drive to the hoop and score last season. It's not too hard to make a case that he was our most valuable player at time last year. If one of Chatman/Wilson can make the leap next year, then it would improve the 2 and 3, like you mentioned in your other post.
|34 weeks 2 days ago||I can mostly agree. Donnal||
I can mostly agree. Donnal is a 5 in Beilein's "4-out, 1-in" system, though. He is best to keep developing at that position since he doesn't have the ball-handling or outside shooting that are consistent enough to play 4. It took Jordan Morgan a while to get to where he was in his final year. I hope Donnal can make those same steps
|34 weeks 2 days ago||A stretch 4 is ideal, but if||
A stretch 4 is ideal, but if that's not on the table, a wing who can defend on the ball is my next choice. It was frustrating at times last year watching Robinson or Dawkins get blown by on the dribble. We've seen how far this team can go with a serviceable defense. The UD coaching search also looms large if Beilein is choosing a (hopefully defensive-minded) replacement for BA.

I miss our old coach, Bohn Jeilein, who really raised our program to new heights. This new guy can't hold a candle to that guy. His teams always had moxie and toughness and grit and other words that I use to describe why the ball goes into the basket.

What teams would you measure our success against? Not saying being better than OSU is the goal, but surely we can't compete against the Kansas/Duke/UNC type of school for a realistic expectation in the near future

I don't think anyone enjoys being #2 but I think we all understand WHY it is, right? It's not a coincidence that the rise of MSU came with M on probation. Program stability goes a long way

This is his schtick. There's no getting around it. It's always some combination of:
Michigan was good in the 80's and 90's + Michigan dumped millions of dollars into facilities
Anything less than a second weekend in March is UNACCEPTABLE.
f you challenge him, he either insults you, or apologizes for wanting Michigan to do well.
I don't understand it either. The thing is, there ARE legit criticisms of Beilein but they are so poorly conveyed in these threads that any real conversation devolves quickly.
|35 weeks 2 days ago||I don't see it as a big||
I don't see it as a big mistake. I think the cons of Spike coming back outweigh the pros
-Guard depth, especially if there are any injuries
-Take minutes away from someone who needs to develop
-Being the 3rd PG dimishes his opportunity to showcase his skills if he wants to play overseas
-Opportunity cost of not using the spot on a grad/transfer/freshman who may be able to improve other positions on the floor
-We aren't sure about his health
I like him as much as anyone, but it may be best for both parties to walk away
|35 weeks 3 days ago||Love Spike, but||
I don't understand why, even if we had a spot for him, Spike would come back next year to be the 3rd string PG. If you were him and had a one year audition to go play in Europe, wouldn't you want to be featured a little more? I think many are too quick to jump on Beilein for not being able to accomodate a fan favorite.

Football requires extensive time in the weight room before most freshmen are ready to see serious playing time. When an incoming freshman can fill in just as well as a senior to the basketball team, it makes more sense to play him and let him develop.
