As long as they are not undefeated after we play them.
|5 days 3 hours ago||Logged in to Second This||
I went to the Motor City Bowl where he went off against Ole Miss. I live in SEC country and have seen some amazing players in person the last decade, but none were better than Moss. Leonard Fournette is a close second.

I have served on the faculty at Mississippi State University for 13 years. My faculty season tickets have been in the first row at the 50 yardline for the past 5 years (unfortunately on the visiting side). Sometimes I go down on the field to help my disabled 8 year-old fire a cannon when the home team scores.
This year's marquee home opponents are Auburn, Arkansas, and Texas A&M. It is an off year.
Next year, and all even years, we host Alabama, LSU, and Ole Miss.

Now I have!

I've seen some sexy cars in my day, but never a sexy van!

My daughter goes to school with Willie Gay. My son was the Starkville High School Football team's honorary team captain. The kid can play (Willie Gay, not my son)!

I think 2017 will start out cold, get warmer in the middle, but end cold!

My son will be 8 in about 2 weeks. He has had a progressive, degenerative disease since birth. Last December he had a bone marrow transplant. It is not working.
We, too, have bonded over football. His first love is Mississippi State football, where I am on the faculty. We have had season tickets since he was 3 years old. His second love is Michigan football. We watch all of the games together except when they conflict with attending home games at Mississippi State (the stadium is 1.5 miles from our house).
I, too, was raised in Southeast Michigan and later lived in Georgia (Athens from 1993-7). I watched many Michigan football games at the Taco Stand downtown.
I am sorry for your loss. I am afraid that I will also know what it means to lose someone with whom I share a love of the game.

Evidnently, some of UNC's instructors and administrators ain't come to play school.
|5 weeks 1 day ago||Mississippi Hot||
I have lived in Mississippi for 20 years. We routinely have highs over 90 for three months straight. Most summer days it is about 96 with 95% humidity. It is hot as usual here. I no longer work outside so there is that.
|8 weeks 6 hours ago||Honestly, the NFL Network ranks him #2||
|8 weeks 6 hours ago||Sweetness #1 because he was a complete player||
1. Walter Payton
2. Barry Sanders
3. Jim Brown
4. Adrian Peterson
5. Marshall Faulk
Note: Bo Jackson might have reached #1 if was not injured. His combination of speed and power are unmatched!

I have a 7 year-old with a life threatening illness and sometimes have to drive fast to get him to medical treatment. People who camp out in the left lane and obstruct faster drivers deserve a special place in hell!

#21 is always Desmond Howard!

Did Tim Beckman really coach Illinois football? I thought he was a Chris Farley character.
|28 weeks 2 days ago||There is a lot of talent in Mississippi||
Jerry Rice, Brett Favre, and Walter Payton were raised in Mississippi! Each year Mississippi cranks out about one 5-star and ten 4-star recruits. This is on a par with Michigan, which has a much larger population.

Some Alabama boosters have been making a lot of noise about this. If the NCAA has to choose between pleasing Alabama and Ole Miss, I think Ole Miss is in serious trouble!

Steven Avery is definately guilty!
|32 weeks 6 days ago||Kincaid||
My brother played bass for a band out of Athens, GA in the 1990's. They were initally called Reuben Kincaid, but learned another band in the same town went by that name. His band changed its name to The Real Reuben Kincaid, but came to feel this was disrespectful to the first band. Finally, they shortened the name to Kincaid.
I would have passed this 70's trivia test for that reason.

|41 weeks 2 days ago||Gabe has Nonherlitz or Nonlethal JEB||
Gabe has a fairly severe case. He does not have any internal involvement (esophagus, rectum, bladder, etc.). He is missing about 30% of his epidermis. His wounds simply will not heal.
His prognosis is not great. Gabe has been on antibiotics continuously for over 2 years. If we stop meds for two days, he becomes badly infected. The primary BMT physician said that he would not live two years without transplant. He gave us about a 50% chance of surviving the procedure and its aftermath, but hope that he may live decades if he does.

Is aimed at the field. So, maybe, I can get an angle where it looks like he has it aimed at Tide players.

fell to the bottom of the page.
|41 weeks 2 days ago||Disappointingly||
The cannon is in an unoccupied corner of the stadium (which is now a horseshoe). It is aimed toward the field, so that may be exciting.
