Not sure if I'll still be in the DFW area in a decade, but if I'm here (or even if I'm not), I would go to Austin to see team 14X play there.
My Cool Story Bro:
Actually went to a UT game in Austin about 4-years ago, just when the wheels were beginning to come off the Mack Brown bus. UT actually lost that day to a mediocre Iowa State squad, and it was amazing how nice and relatively hinged (as opposed to un-hinged) the UT faithful remained. No boos, jeers, and very few explatives were heard from my section. Nicest fans I've ever come across. Not to mention many lovely ladies, excellent BBQ at many tailgates. And, 6th Street in Austin cannot be beat for post-game libations and revelry.
One thing that did strike me that day...adverts in the stadium. I never realized up to that point how much it detracts from the in-stadium experience. Made me understand how much we need to keep up the good fight at UM and keep that part of our game-day experience unchanged.

Don't let DB get a glimpse of this though, looks like fireworks are being shot out of the stadium...or lasers.
That'll never happen (crossing fingers).

Hostess? As in, twinkies, cupcakes, ho-ho's and pies? I love me some hostess.

Any MgoUser's in Memphis? I'm stuck here for work...that AlumniAssoc list shows a BBQ joint for the game watching site. Checked the spot's website, their photographs look like an absolutely horrible spot to watch a game, basically in a suburban BBQ storefront / cafeteria.
Any head's up on better watching locales in MEM would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers, and Go Blue!

Didn't realize that somewhere in this world unfortunate kids were still suffering with a Moe Howard 'do.

I wonder if his preference is brunettes or blondes?
|1 year 35 weeks ago||Twosie||
It would be cool if he were to sell the twosie and give the proceeds to Mott's or some other charity. I would love to bid on that. He should be able to upgrade to a badazz Trek or Cannondale twosie after draft day.

|1 year 42 weeks ago||OK||
So honor the 2002 team sans The Senator. Bringing him back and putting him on your shoulders is the FU to the NCAA.
|1 year 42 weeks ago||Um, yeah||
But that hasn't happened, and it's 20 years afterwards. Likely never will. So how is this relevant?

Plus one to you sir

So disappointed for Denard, Vince, Roy, Jordan, Kenny and all the other seniors. This game was well within the grasp of winning yet our coach (no need to further name names), completely outsmarts himself and snatches defeat from the claws of victory. One TD in the second could have clinched it.
Way to go OSU on your perfect season, it means nothing because the coach you "honored" at halftime is a fraud.

Is this on the white house's website?

Must be a fact.

Still love and miss you coach.

And I can't believe I'll be adding to it, but the biggest joke of all is Mark Emmert's meager sanctions on a program where the coach repeatedly flat out lied to the NCAA, and there was clearly loss of institutional control.

...finding a bar that will actually switch a monitor to the UM game with the Tigers on, I imagine every screen downtown will be dialed in to the WS..
Cheli's is a pretty big place w/ many screens, they might be willing to accomodate, but I also imagine an opening day like atmosphere, so you may not even be able to get in w/o standing in line for an hour.
I haven't been there yet, but heard the MGM has a new sports bar called TAP. It's a little further from the stadium so maybe an option.
If all else fails....Bouzouki.
|1 year 46 weeks ago||You are correct sir||
In my game induced sadness, I did in fact, err on the matter. Thank you for politely pointing that out.

I actually really feel bad for Big Papi. Damn. 5 batters, 4 hits. Dude's cooked

FIELDED in front, but bounced BEHIND the plate off the bat. I just replayed it and it is clearly behind. Doesn't that automatically make it foul?
|1 year 46 weeks ago||Need a rule check||
D. Young's bounce hit seemed to bounce behind the plate. How is that not a foul ball? I know home plate is fair, as it's the convergence of the foul lines.
