The quality of apparel has really gone downhill. Jordan brand stuff is really hit or miss and is usually super expensive. Why they don’t sell the gear you see the coaches wearing I’ll never know. Recently rewatched the rose bowl and some of the sweatshirts the coaches were wearing are sweet, but good luck finding any of it. Also, why hasn’t there been a Jordan shoe release in like 3 years?
NIL has been around for a little while now. Michigan has just chose to use it a different way. To accuse other programs of cheating by paying players the last few years is ridiculous.

All I said was Orji and the two running backs could be problematic for defenses. That is a ton of speed and power. You are making assumptions that Orji can’t pass and while we have yet to see him throw, if he is the starter I would assume he is at least decent at passing.

I think whoever the coach is should be at the very least knocking on the door for an ncaa bid in year two. Probably should be in the field in year two. And if they can’t make it in by year 3, then what are we really talking about here?
I am a Juwan supporter. I am in the extreme minority on this board that want to give him another year. And I know I could be dead wrong and he never gets it figured out.
But, can we please stop comparing football and basketball? And while we are at it, the Beilein comparisons are not fair either. CBB is in a completely different place than it was when Beilein was coaching at Michigan. I believe it’s one of the reasons he left. He could see the mess that NIL and transfer portal were going to create.
Completely agree MGlobules. There are posters who openly admit to never or hardly watching basketball games for many years and then will go on to tell you what’s wrong with the coach/ players. I don’t know why I open basketball threads on Mgoblog.
This team is awful and definitely need some changes in the coaching staff. But if Michigan doesn’t change the way they allow whoever coaches to build their team, there is going to be a low ceiling for the program. Unless they find another Beilein which is highly unlikely.
I’m extremely curious to see if buying all these high profile players backfires on osu. It wouldn’t take much for jealousy to creep onto that team and destroy whatever culture they have. A team full of transfers has to piss off some of the guys who have paid their dues in the program. We shall see.

5 year rebuild ? I would think in this day and age of college basketball two to three years is more than enough time to rebuild.
