The idea that the NCAA goes after the big fish is laughable if anything the inverse is true they punish the weak universities and let the big ones off. See Alabama or USC. In fact there is an old joke that if Alabama screws up again then Eastern Tennessee is really in trouble.

JLS was Coach for 4 years and did not go to a bowl in his last 3 Bobby Williams was there for 3 seasons and went to 1 Dantonio is 3 for 3. He just brought in his 2nd top 25 class in a row Do I think he will ever get them to the BCS barring an Illinois type appearance I doubt it but I think he will have them around 8 wins a year which will keep him there for a while.

If Dorsey had committed to MSU would we have accepted that MSU had done its homework on this kid or would we have mocked I know I would have mocked.

He was a LB in high school so when he gets to State they are going to have to coach him up on playing the line especially how to use his hands as for wanting to be an LB his frame is one that he will end up as a DE my guess he redshirts spends the next year as a rotation guy more of a situational pass rusher and then the next year look out Big Ten and knowing Sparty’s luck goes pro.
|6 years 4 weeks ago||Well documented||
The documentation was a blog post if he really wanted to go to UM he would be going to UM. Stop acting like Archie Collins has some Svengali like hold over every kid he coaches. We lost Hankins because we waited on offering which in hindsight was probably a mistake but at the time we had legitimate concerns about his weight, motivation which I believe were justified MSU never offered him for the same reasons he answered the questions that UM had about him during his senior year but by then other schools had been involved and had an advantage because they were recruiting him longer and with more interest. It happens he might become a dominant DT and for 4 years we will kick ourselves or he might never see the field. As for Gholston Gardner I have no problem who gets picked first both had great years both got selected to elite all star games both did will in practice for these which is more important then the game when it comes to evaluation as they get to see this guys go head to head against other elite prospects. Should be interesting to see what these guys accomplish over the next 4-5 years.

Sites putting up somewhat misleading headlines to get people to click not withstanding I think this issue is a little more concerning to me then the whole Free Press story which some of you may have read about. Yes this guy ripped him off but why was Rodriguez engaged in business dealings with an individual who has been in trouble with the NCAA in the first place. As someone who is a head coach at a BCS school I don’t think it is proper and I am curious if this was disclosed to U of M while interviewing
