As someone who has colitis,…

As someone who has colitis, it makes total sense for Ambry to opt out.  Most of the drugs used to treat colitis suppress the immune system....not great during a pandemic....

Texas seems the most likely…

Texas seems the most likely spot to me.

 - Shaka Smart is likely out.

 - Texas will be looking for a "big name" coach.

 - Yaklich is already there.

I've had Ulcerative Colitis…

I've had Ulcerative Colitis for over 20 years.   It's a tough disease as frankly most of the medical treatment out there treats symptoms and not the root cause (which is tough to find).   A lot of the drugs come with potential very unpleasant side effects.

If anyone is here looking for something to try, I followed a protocol from the book "Restoring your Digestive Health" by Jordan Rubin and Dr. Joseph Brasco (GI).   I followed about 90% of what it recommended and it made a GIANT improvement in my health.   Warning - the book does read in spots like a bit of an infomercial as it recommends products from the company Jordan Rubin was at when he co-wrote it.   Outside of that, it was super helpful.

Hope this helps someone.

I don't like our chances with Glasgow hurt.

I like him

He would just need to hire a staff with some midwest recruiting ties (specifically Ohio) and he'd be a great Plan B.

2015 Recruiting - Jalen Coleman?

Isn't Michigan still recruiting him or is he locked out because of Robinson?

Thanks Brian

Thanks for this write-up Brian.  This is better than anything I have seen online.  The detailed analysis is fantastic.

Use of curse words on the blog

Personally, - I think it'd be great if MgoBlog didn't allow the use of curse words.  I have been reading this and had my young son ask about such words.   I also think there are more expressive ways to state things than a simple F***.

I may be in the minority, but that is my opinion.

Agree - Iowa is a better matchup

From what I remember, Iowa doesn't blitz that much - which I sure hope holds up as true next week!

Completely Agree

I completely agree.   I personally find it embarassing to lose to State - but frankly they were the better team today.   Their D was outstanding.   Unfortunately, I will be repeating this same mantra to all my Sparty friends at work.  :(

Please be healthy Jordan Morgan!

smaller practice

Besides the vaccine advice mentioned above (and I do encourage reading up on this as much as possible to make an informed decision - the US government doesn't know everything and is affected by lobbying etc...), I would aim for a smaller practice.

We started out in a larger practice and experienced long waits in the waiting room for appointments (not easy with babies), long long delays in people calling us back when we had questions and seeing different doctors each visit.

We switched to a practice that had 2 pediatricians and experienced short waits, super fast responses when we had questions and saw 1 of 2 doctors every time.

Agree

I agree - I like Vitale a lot and I think you hit on it - he is genuine.  He is not trying to be someone who he isn't.  He doesn't try to say catch phrases b/c they are cool or popular.  He is himself and enthusiastic.   I think he makes watching the game more fun.

I like Raftery for the same reasons.

A nailbiter!

Total Rushing yards of 209.

Hoke better than Miles

I also prefer Hoke to Miles.   I can't see how we consider Miles due to his lying about players he cut - this is not a trait we want in our coach.

I know that Hoke gets ripped for not being qualified (e.g. not coming from a big-time school).  While coaching is surely different at a BCS conference vs the MAC or MWC - what I think needs to be looked at is this:  Is Hoke a good coach regardless of where he has coached?

From reading articles, his players play tough and play hard for him.  They bought in early when he arrived at SDSU.  I think these are all traits of a good coach.   If he is hired, then time will tell....
