Not only was Wagners shot way off, but he had some miserable, lazy passes last night as well. More than one turned into a turnover, if I recall correctly. The noteable one that didn't turnover was the outlet he threw at someone's back.
He was just generally off his game.

Walton = Rudock.
The light came on and now he's playing as well as anyone in the country. His stop-start moves had the Golden Goofballs perplexed the whole game.

I was talking to the UW-M swim coach, said the same thing. Coach after coach gets run out of town, if they don't leave on their own first.

I didn't realize. This is almost as depressing as watching the losses, considering the defense we had.

This is exactly the argument I would make for going for 2 to win. They haven't moved the ball all year, so take your shot while you're at the 3 yard line.

I frequently hear about someone being a "great blitzer", but never a poor blitzer. What, other than being fast, makes someone's blitzing abilities better than a mediocre blitzer?

While it would have been nice, really, it didn't matter if the Buckeyes won tonight. We still have to beat them to have the head to head tie breaker. But we saw what we needed to tonight... They are not untouchable.

Game situation kicking may not be taxing, but getting enough practice reps to be good at each phase will wear on you.
Just as a punter, you need to rep enough to 1) catch a long snap every time, 2) get a big kick in 3 steps or less every time, and 3) place a punt both vertically and horizontally to optimize your coverage. Messing up any of these is a disaster, just ask 1) Will Hagerup, 2) UCF's punter, or 3) any poor damn bastard kicking to Jabrill Peppers.
Then add equal preparation for FG kicking and kickoffs. I'll bet that Allen feels like his leg is gonna fall off after weeks of practice.

This very well may have been the plan, but IIRC, Speight took a deep sack on 3rd down before Tice's kick. Hard to justify going for 4th and 15+ in such a tight game, even with little confidence in your backup kicker.

I think Saban's 'coaching prime' was that time he won 4 NCs in 7 years. Saban left MSU when he was a rising star.

You may consider the situation from the cyclist's perspective. In a two lane road, particularly one with little to no shoulder, the center of the lane is the safest place to be when there is traffic coming toward you. In the scenario you mention, if I am on the right side of the road, the driver behind will have to pass me within an arm's length, and if I'm lucky, they'll slow down to only 10-15 mph faster than be (but not likely). In the center, they must respect the space I am demanding.
This is a strategy I employ particulary at curves, hills, and RR crossings, when I don't WANT a driver to pass me. If you give me 10-15 seconds, I'll move out of your way and neither of us will be worse for the wear.

I'm very familiar with the area. That stretch of Olentangy River Rd has an 8 ft wide bike path running alongside it, right in front of OSU's football facility. The road itself is a 4 lane divided road with a 45 mph speed limit and few traffic lights. I find it highly unlikely that the cyclist was travelling on the road, but merely crossing it, suggesting that Schiano is responsible.

We're allowed on roads because the infrastructure to separate us typically doesnt' exist. We would very much prefer it.

Love how the caption is quick to point out that Schiano wasn't injured in the accident.
I too cycle a lot, including to work, so I can't avoid riding on some parts of busy roads. I try to keep out of the way (because cars driving too fast and too close scare the hell out of me), but I often wish drivers were more patient and willing to wait the 5 to 10 seconds it takes for me to get out of the way.

The novice in you doesn't understand how very different the techniques are. I, for example, can't swim, breastroke to,save my life, despite being very proficient in two other strokes. For Phelps to put all four together dominantly (4 consecutive golds in 200 IM) strikes me as nothing short of incredible.
I don't deny Bolt's greatness. But for those of you bemoaning the lack of event diversity available to him...why doesn't he run the 110 hurdles?

Found a reasonably priced pool to swim in, getting up to go about 4x a week. I'm up to about 4k, but still can't keep up with the older guys that train year-round. Haven't lost any weight yet because swimming makes me hungry all the time, but I definitely feel stronger.

Just earned a Masters in Ag Engineering from OSU. I was able to pick up my diploma with a smile, which is more than I can say when I was issued a BuckID two years ago.
But, I have an application in with the Great Lakes Commission in A2, so maybe things will work out.

Without even considering safe areas vs places to avoid, I wouldn't run in downtown LA given the air quality. Don't know why you would subject your lungs to that if you're a health-conscious person.

Without looking at the results, I think the 400 Medley was easily our worst at Big Ten Championships. So missing finals (but still scoring) doesn't necessarily imply a finish outside the top-ten. Still, if you wonder what the difference is between UM's relay and the top finishers, look no further than our lack of a championship-level breaststroker.

The 50 (and to a lesser extent the 100) is often a crapshoot. The slightest screw-up can cost you a season of work. Evidence: the difference between qualifying for the final heat (#8) and finishing 23rd is 0.4 seconds. So, in the sprints, one should always go all-out.
