If you were gonna light shit on fire, why didn't you just go to school in East Lansing? |

Until someone clones Keith Jackson, I don't really care for any of today's football commentary. |
| 1 day 7 hours ago | He didn't pick a great avenue |
He didn't pick a great avenue to voice his opinion, and the guy has worse grammar problems than a 16 year old girl. But he's right. They're vastly overrated, and while 12-0 is 12-0, they would have been saddled with 3-5 losses in the SEC last year. Us included. OSU was good by B1G standards last year, but from a national perspective, that's not saying much. They're good but they're not as good as they think they are. |
| 1 day 11 hours ago | I'd be shocked if we can ever |
I'd be shocked if we can ever put another long term series together. It'd be great but I doubt most schools would want to commit to it. Count anyone in the SEC outside of Alabama and Vandy out, since the rest of them won't cross the Mason Dixon line. The ACC has Notre Dame so they're out. Stanford would be nice but I really don't see anyone wanting to commit to it. |
| 1 day 16 hours ago | They should have just left it |
They should have just left it at the first movie. That one was an all time classic, and there was almost no way they could possibly top it or not re-hash old material. Setting up additional movies was a recipe for failure. |
| 1 day 17 hours ago | Peppers seems to have a good |
Peppers seems to have a good head on his shoulders so I'm not too concerned with the showboating right now. Hoke will have him get it under control if it ever goes too far, but at least it shows that he has confidence in himself. |
| 2 days 10 hours ago | I'll bet the season starts |
I'll bet the season starts off in a rotation between Fitz and Green, but it wouldn't shock me if Green is starting by the end of the year, with Fitz taking on a V. Smith type role, probably just a little more expanded. I don't want to knock Fitz too much, as I think his lack of success last year was due, at least in part, to the fact that the interior of the offensive line last year just wasn't that good. I do think Fitz can be successful in a pro-style offense. But Green was built specifically for this kind of offense, so his ceiling is that much higher. |

You've given this a lot of thought. I like it. |

He started and played a good chunk of his career there. It makes perfect sense that he'd want to end his career there. |

Good for him. Started his career there, its only fitting that he end it there. I'm sure Raiders fans are happy to have him back. |
| 3 days 4 hours ago | That's the South for you, and |
That's the South for you, and it really shouldn't surprise you. Schools like that are filled with a bunch of southern belles and good ol' boys who's wardrobes consist of nothing but seersucker suits, Vinyard, Southern Tide, Lacoste, etc. It's not an SEC thing per se, its a Southern thing in general. They'd look like idiots at a Michigan game, but they fit right in down South. Just a culture thing. |
| 3 days 7 hours ago | I don't really hate the state |
I don't really hate the state itself, but I thoroughly despise Ohio State as well as their fans. I hate that they have inexplicably had our number for a decade. Every fiber of my being hopes they lose every game by 40+. It would be pure euphoria for me to watch Jake Ryan come off of Braxton Miller's blindside, and drill his ass into the ground so hard that Braxton forgets who he is for 10 minutes. I wouldn't wish injury on him, but watching him lie on the ground would be beautiful. |

I love Hoke, but as far as Michigan thoroughly hating OSU, those seeds were sewn in the Schembechler days. |

I prefer to think of it as us grabbing guys who were smart enough to get out of that shithole when they had the chance. |
| 3 days 10 hours ago | At the end of the day, in |
At the end of the day, in some form, its always about money. More houses to put the BTN in, more access to academic research money, and so on. It's all for money. The Big Ten sure as hell didn't bring Maryland and Rutgers in to boost the conference's image on the football field or its overall athletic profile. |

Purdue, Staae: we're still trusting you to hold down the fort in Detroit for the foreseeable future. It just got a little tougher, but we're hoping its nothing you can't handle. |

| 4 days 6 hours ago | I don't think he ever said |
I don't think he ever said his intent was to make a difference. Rather, just bring it to people's attention. And there might be some people out there who read this blog, don't listen much to the news, but when they find out about today's events through this blog, they'll go donate. In that instant, posting this thread would have been infinitely worth doing, even if it was just one person. I couldn't say with certainty that that's happened, but I'd like to think you get my point. Not exactly sure what fault you could possibly find in all of that, but if you want to be a Debbie Downer about it, then that's your problem. |
| 4 days 8 hours ago | I'm not about to berate this |
I'm not about to berate this guy. Quite frankly, I think its pretty damn hilarious that he was able to keep this persona up for so long and none of the alumni could pick up on it. At the very least, how do none of them look back and remember that there was no such man who scored a TD in the Rose Bowl? If you're a real fan, that's not something you tend to forget. Some of them had to be Ohio fans back in the 70s. |
| 4 days 11 hours ago | Weird to think about how Mone |
Weird to think about how Mone could be our "under the radar" guy when its all said and done, as far as the line is concerned. He really shouldn't even be under the radar. I've seen different sites say that if he just went to more camps, he'd probably be a top-100 recruit. |
| 4 days 11 hours ago | Normally I'd agree with you, |
Normally I'd agree with you, but how do we go from having a great rushing attack in 2011 with Denard and Fitz to an essential implosion in 2012, sans Denard? No one in 2011 was recruited for Hoke's scheme on the O-Line, nor were any starters for 2012. Maybe it just means that Molk was really that important to the success of the line, but I don't know. |

How anyone other than Michigan could win this is beyond me. The only other helmet in America that might be considered by the general populace to be "better" is Notre Dame's. |
