Queens of the Stone Age's new album '...Like Clockwork' drops Tuesday, but I got my preorder early. As a longtime fan, I think it's one of their best albums, right up there with Songs for the Deaf. It's got a darker, Pink Floyd-y vibe going on and it's some of the best song writing and lyrics I've heard in years. Definitely one of the most underrated bands of the 2000's and it seems they may be finally getting their due.
I did suffer a "clean" tibia and fibula break about three years ago that was similar, but not as gruesome as Ware's. The doctors inserted an inter-medial nail, a long titanium rod, through the middle of the broken tibia, secured two screws at near the knee and two more near the ankle. The surgeon seriously goes to town on the leg like a carpenter, drilling, hammering, and screwing to secure the bone. The fibula is small and doesn't bear much weight, so they just reset the bone and let it heal on its own. I was in an aircast boot for only 2 months and walking without crutches after soon after. At the time, I was a collegiate athlete in great shape so that, combined with being young and having access to world class doctors and physicians dramatically reduced my recovery time. If it was in fact a clean break, and he doesn't have major setbacks, he could be back to near 100% in a year. God bless him and his doctors.
In hindsight, I don't know why I'm arguing. If you're going to tell an honest story about yourself, you open yourself up to criticism. FWIW, I think it's commendable and inspiring.
His after tax salary during the first month of this project was $5,295 which equates to $63,540. Even with 2 roommates, it netted to $7,238 per month or $86,856 per year. This was the planned income for 6 of the 7 months. The final month included 3 paychecks as well as the annual bonus. Credit where credit due.
That's not true. If you read the blog, you would know that he makes closer to $100k. What he did required quite a bit of sacrifice, more than most of us, and many Americans, would be comfortable with, regardless of income.
Blue Light. I actually cracked it open instead of the two hearted ale sitting next to it in my fridge. Sometimes you just feel like a Blue Light...

<br>Also listening to some Devotchka who happen to be playing at Hill Auditorium this very second. My sister, who's at the concert, called to make sure I'm good and jealous.
"This program's been starving for a while," Robinson said Monday. "It's time for us to make something happen. We've been starving. It's time for us to eat."
However, if you're going to open up the league to all teams, I would suggest making a
"super conference" of all the user teams. No one wants to play/recruit against a CPU all season hoping for shot at a human player in bowl season. Personally, I'd prefer to keep it to the the Big Ten. Also, if this is your first time commish'ing, you'll want to make sure you have a good roster (like Fairdale Kings) downloaded prior to starting up the dynasty. I'd be happy to help, or even commish during startup, if needed.
Cool. If we can get like half a dozen committed, we can take it from there. I'm thinking a couple game weeks per real life week. All American or Heisman is fine. If anyone else on the boards is interested, leave your xbox gamer tag. Mine is RowBlue.

Beautiful.

Anybody want to start an xbox dynasty? Sorry to crash the party that I wasn't invited to, but figure it doesnt warrant another thread.

When are we kicking this thing off?

But where will the Adidas logo go?

I'd be game for another Big Ten dynasty. I'd even prefer if it had a more relaxed pace, say, 2 game weeks per real life week?
