Great post

Thanks for the great post. I am always surprised by the quality of diary posts here - this is almost like a multi-centre prospective study (which well, this season, Denard is the subject). Incredible evidence and then conclusion. Doesn't get any better than this. Pure scientific method.

Great job and agreed with conclusion.

totally agree

You put it more eloquently. I've always wondered though, football aside, why are the deep southern states like Alabama, Mississipi, Ark, Louisiana so poor? I mean don't people up north want to move to warmer climate? may be its I-just-got dumped-the-record-breaking-snow-and-am-miserable in me talking.

May be infrastructure development would take 30 more years??

Dammit I still want Michigan to rock out no matter what. Go Blue.

I salute thee

his is the exact type of post that forces me to sign on and comment. I just want to thank Brian and all the posters on this outworldly blog. This is pure amazing and I check it after cnn and before espn.com and my email EVERYDAY!

I live in Texas and the population shift, state economies are so very interesting to analyse. I myself am a medical resident, but I just see ALOT of growth in southern states lately. Texas as of late has seen incredible growth in many cities. Yea the energy crisis would be death sentence to cities like Houston, but taking Austin - so very diversified i doubt change happens.

Getting back to football. Its simple. I want Texas to join Big Ten and negate all of the southern advantage. Problem solved.

From Alabama/Florida game:
1)

From Alabama/Florida game:

1) Incorporate triple option
2) Tight end option that florida runs
3) throw run option that tebow did today

From Nebraska/Texas game:
1) Linebackers making plays (Neb)
2) Defense making offense look shitty (Neb)
3) DTs "suhing" their way to 3-4 sacks / per
3a) complement that with roh being really death rohing
4) Linebackers making plays
5) competent secondary.

Why can't we learn from

Why can't we learn from Nebraska?

It is obvious a tough D can make spread look like middle school scheme. Hats off to a great game by Nebraska. Their linebackers had speed and made plays - Ezeh and Mouton please see this game x 100.

lol fine.
I mean I am stupid

lol fine.

I mean I am stupid but still big ten secondaries are that much better that we can't run this quick strike offense actually work - and NOT in theory but for real please.

When are we going to be like

When are we going to be like Cinci?

"one of the best quick strike team" - goddammit I want to be like Cinci and break Ohio State like that. so frustrating.

This makes me sad and

Pryor shirt

What if swine flu shirt meant that he is afraid of contact? for evidence: S. Brown hits him, he bounces back and instead of moving forward side steps with 2 more yards for down (early in the game yesterday). looks like Swine flu to me.

Imposing figure

Nothing against Tate or Denard. I must say though that our current talented freshman QBs look 'light'. Just a look around Big Ten almost all the QBs are 200 ish 6 footish. Tate and Denard are a bit on smaller size relatively. Where am I going with this? I absolutely believe that Gardner can come in an be a dominant QB for us like no other. For some reason Forcier is losing his swagger. Not jumping up and down, i dunno. Need the physical presence of Gardner as a QB in the pocket.

sorry for the ramble. I'm just a poor mgoblog poster.

Misopogon

Dude just wanted to say - I really enjoy your writings and humor. There are many great posters on this blog, but yours and ofcourse Brian's writing are just par excellence.

I believe there were job openings on mgoblog mods - you should be one. Awesome!

sorry post was in response to

sorry post was in response to tvaduva. oops.

agreed

I get the same feeling. What if he is going for glory and many comeback wins? i know this is stupid but this guy is just unfrigginbelievable! do that tate thing all game dude. forget the heroics. be robot henne.

also, why can't we put kovacs in place of mouton? kovacs can tackle with the best of them. bench mouton and move kovacs to his position and make a stevie brown 2.0 = finally 2 good lineman!!

it is so depressing to watch iowa, penn state and ohio state linebackers - WHY DO WE SUCK AS LINEBACKERS? why can't somebody coach these kids. It is just so frustrating to watch. Can't somebody from this blog email GERG? talk to RR?

This sounds stupid and please

This sounds stupid and please forgive me but ... why do we suck SO bad at the linebacker position. I mean come on, how can one not improve/see the suckiness. Look @ penn state, Iowa, tOSU how can they make their linebackers do good stuff, while Umich is mediocre. So frustrating. argghh

awesome

This is quotable material for mgoblog front page. great post sir.

Denard

How about that pass to TE (koger/webb?) I think today Denard looked more comfortable. Game seemed to slow down a bit for him. Need more confident passes from him and I think we are going to get it.

Btw: penn state looks defeated. Clark's body language says it all.

Thanks folks! I do not have

Thanks folks! I do not have access to ESPN 360 (don't have the necessary internet provider). I'm sure mgovideo will come through soon. Such a great feeling. Almost like how troy smith crushed our spirits moving around and killing us a few years ago, Notre Dame gotta be feeling the same. Spread just is more "open" to improvisation than pro-set (nothing genius here, just a nidus for recurrent frustration when we were prostyle).

OT

but, when is the video torrent or wolverinehistorian clip of the game is going to be posted? I was out of country and obviouslt deprived. Thanks guys and Go Blue!

P.S. Michigan is recognized > Notre dame in foreign countries. Football and academics.

WOW

What a read! you sir, are an awesome writer/analyzer/hypothesis maker.

no shame

Believe

Go watch M bball

yea

I'm new to this forum, don't know much about recruiting, but I do know/ want to say that this would be a disaster. in my undergrad years, lloyd's offense bored me to death - finally RRod comes and is installing spread...and these rumors? terrible. Whatever, I'm going to assume this is just garbage talk for my sanity.
