Running over to student section definitely began in the RR era. He told the players to go over and sing the victors with the students to celebrate the win. |

Go with the twitters. It's better for those not in front of the computer. I'm usually in the stadium and would like to participate / share photos, etc. |

| 45 weeks 5 days ago | Dog Park North of the City |
Try the Olson dog park out on DhuVarren Rd. just past Pontiac Trail (need to drive there). We've been going there for a while and never have encountered anyone from the city, but "legally" you do need a license. There is regular park next to the dog park there that in the winter is rarely used. Lots of bikers in the summer, so careful about letting the dog off leash then. Steer clear of letting your dog off leash in the Arb, at least during the spring/summer/fall, you will be told to put it back on a leash by someone as Ann Arborites never fail to let you know what you are doing wrong. Winter is a different story because not many people venture out there in the cold/snow. There are plenty of regular parks around, just takes a bit of exploring. |

Correct with the Bayesian therory, however, when you are a juror you must presume the defendant is innocent (or are at least instructed to do so) until proven guilty by the prosecution; thus, in reality you should start out 0/100 until evidence and argument is heard. Just sayin'... |
| 1 year 24 weeks ago | Unfortunatley, you jump to |
Unfortunatley, you jump to incorrect conclusions. I grew up in Ohio, so YES I know that Ohio is different from OSU. The difference is OhioU, as everyone from Ohio calls it, has little to no presence in the state. It is dominated by OSU, so much so that people wear OSU gear to the OhioU football games. If VT people see us saying beat Virginia, they will just laugh and think we are idiots. It won't bother them in the least, infact they may relish it because they have been the king of football in the state of Virginia for ages. I can't remember the last time UVA beat VT. VT has huge presence in the state of Virginia in general. The best part of saying Beat Ohio is that is means something (going back to Woody and TSUN) and it pisses OSU people off. It does not carry the same weight with VT, so there is no point and we just look stupid. |
| 1 year 24 weeks ago | Just no. |
Beat Virginia doesn't work because Virginia is UVa, not Virginia Tech. Very very different. UVa even sells car stickers that are"Virginia" while all things Virginia Tech are VT. Having lived in Virginia it makes a very big difference. |

We acutally have Nationals next weekend in Austin, Tx. There used to be a team in Detroit, but they went inactive awhile ago. There are around 40 mens teams and 10 womens teams. Check out usafl.com. |

I'm the 25th member of my family to attend Michigan, going back to great-grandparents. My paternal great-grandfather graduated with an engineering degree from Michigan in 1918 and, remarkably, my great-grandMOTHER graduated with her masters in english and latin in the early 1920s. My grandfather was a third string fullback for the wolverines back in the day. My parents met at UM, married here, and then moved to Ohio for my dad's job. I was raised a Michigan fan in Ohio during the Cooper years, so at least I won all the bets on games, although I received crap all the time from OSU fans. I still remember my third grade teacher asking me in front of the entire class why I was wearing a michigan sweatshirt to school and telling me to take it off. This adversity made me and my brother extremely fanatical because we had to be on top of our game at all times to trump OSU fans. My parents have had season tickets for 40 years and I've been attending football games since I was 6. I had to miss my first game when I was 5 because I had the chicken pox (thought this was the end of the world, but it made for a good admissions essay). You better believe my kids will be brought up blue, even though the fiance is a state fan (has degrees from both state and UM), because who has season tickets?? This girl! Go blue!

goes down to 2.5 mill from 4 mill Jan 1. Saving 1.5 mill might make cents to our AD.

| 3 years 49 weeks ago | marshmallows |
The key to throwing marshmallows was to suck on one end before throwing it so they stuck on your target. Will never forget one UM v. OSU game where there was one OSU fan in my student section; he was totally coated in marshmallows. priceless |
| 4 years 8 weeks ago | SPSS |
SPSS is archaic, but hard to mess up if you know what statistical tests you need to run and how to interpret them. I'd recommend SAS version 9.2, which you have access to as a student. Can be purchased for $40 (student price) at the union if you have a PC. SAS is the standard statistical analysis tool. |
