I HOPE I'm wrong, but with it being the day before Easter (Easter Weekend) and with all of the public schools and parochial schoolsin the state of Michigan being on Spring Break as of Friday at the bell, and with (I believe) Hash Bash Saturday, I don't see 70,000.
There IS INDEED a ton of enthusiasm, but I don't think a lot of people are going to make it to the Big House for a noon scrimage tjhat day, with all of the above going on. On another Saturday, like April 18, maybe 70,000+. This weekend, I'm guessing about 40,000. Please prove me wrong, mgobloggers!!!

My vote: Usernames should be capitalized as titles.
ie. "clown question" MUST become "Clown Question". Please fix.
Otherwise, There Will Be TOO much inconsistency in HOW usernames, Titles and cONTENT are VIEWED on THE SITE.

Used to be called the Greenhouse Effect. Can we put a glass roof over the Big House for November?

Rock n Rye ice cream floats are awesome!

I was in Lexington with friends for that game. We went to see the Regionals at Rupp Arena and watched our Fab 5ers beat UNC and OSU.
We went to a bar and watched that game. Of course we were rooting for UK with all of the locals and we hated Duke (and especially Laettner and Hurley). OMG the place went from hysterically loud to perfectly silent in 0.1 seconds flat. Although I didn't like the outcome, it was definitely an experience not everyone has had.
And did I mention we saw our team beat UNC and OSU!!! Go Blue!

So, you're saying this isn't meant to take the place of your contributions to this site, just provide another opportunity to unite the fanbase? Will it be unique and feature Michigan talent like Eminem?
Hope it goes well! Will check it out. Thanks for your time/efforts here (and now there).

In that same vein then, I think we're missing the biggest question . . . .
Who was Coach Harbaugh rooting for? He played for Indy (and coached Luck), but Brady is our current NFL star.

He's huge with a big arm, but man, I just watched his sophomore highlight video and nearly every pass is off his back foot, not stepping into his throws. In his senior highlights, he's a little better, but not much. He doesn't actually seem to need his lower body, the way he slings the ball around with his big upper.
However, I'm thinking Coach knows there is still a lot of untapped potential in this kid. If anyone would know, it'd be him.

Curious. Why did you stay up there then? I was in Engineering, but couldn't imagine "enduring" 3 years up there.

I don't think he'll mind. His wife did a "Public Service Announcement" regarding them.

I only follow 2 people on Twitter . . . my wife and John Beilein. I'm happy to be married to my wife, and proud to have John Beilein as the head basketball coach at my alma mater.

Although we're pretty set at RB, losing Damien Harris was my biggest recruiting disappointment, pre-Hoke departure. He's so shifty, fast and has vision. I think he's going to be one of the best RBs in college football, and I'd really like to have him for 3 (to 4) years out.
I'm really surprised he's not solid anywhere yet, and I'd take him over Weber any day.

NFL insiders close to the situation say it's a quote "huge deal". People who know insiders close to the family say it's a quote "non-factor". Sources familiar with the process say it's quote "complicated" and "unknowable".

Hmm, I read it as he went from 60-40 to 90-10.
60 - 40 = 20
90 - 10 = 80
4 times the confidence!! Good enough for me to believe it's happening.

I thought Moss said he was going to tell EVERYBODY who his source was, at 9AM today. Why would he have to offer to tell Brandy?
|20 weeks 1 hour ago||Fred Jackson||
I'd actually prefer to see Fred Jackson as Co-OC. He's like Tyrone Wheatley, only faster and with more recruiting experience.
I'll miss coach Jackson. He's done a lot for the program, and has been highly quotable.

Eliminating donations to the Athletic Department is a great start. I'm sure they review monthly, their plan vs budget.
HOWEVER, how about also: Don't buy Michigan licensed products for a while. I'm sure not purchasing a new jersey and hat, or new t-shirt and man-cave banners will begin to hit our suppliers like Adidas and others in the coming months, and they along with the lack of licensing fees to the department, will start to be noticed.

I wouldn't drive to A2 to listen to AC/DC or Special K's dance mix tonight, or even to hear Special K yell out, "Get Looouuuuuud", but I'd come to watch our kids, Dennis in particular, have fun out on that field. They deserve to have some fun.
And I think Penn State was scared to kick it to crazy dancing returner guy. They kicked it out of bounds a few times.
I appreciate Dennis and his dancing.
|29 weeks 3 days ago||You seem to think they ARE||
You seem to think they ARE keenly aware of the fact that people want a change in the AD. You realize this blog is an echo chamber with a couple hundred regular posters, right? We're not all bigtime donors or friends of the President. 100 snail mail letters and a couple of articles about concussiongate don't convey the feelings of the more passionate fans. Mr. Schissel hasn't been here that long.
Is he "keenly aware" of the mass desire to get rid of Dave Brandon? Or will he see the student section full at kickoff and think, "Hmm, there must not be as much discord as I thought. Just a few hundred people showed up for the rally last week too. Dave must be right." There are hundreds of thousands of alumni.
Consider there is no waiting list for tickets anymore. SO I ASK YOU . . . What is worse for the players, a nearly empty student section for the kickoff tomorrow, followed by a rollicking crowd a couple minutes in, or a stadium only filled with 90,000 people for most of the games, the entire game, next year? Because if there isn't some sort of statement made now, Dave Brandon will still be the AD after this year, and there will not be full stadiums next year!
I think you're too confident in this "keen awareness".
|29 weeks 5 days ago||That will only work if there||
That will only work if there are 10,000 other season news-paper subscribers who also do the same, and if ESPN shows you all doing it from an aerial blimp view while explaining why you're doing it. You alone will not get publicity and the attention of the University President.

And we all know that boycotting the Maryland game is only going to hurt the players.

He said they had to coach better too, so I'm assuming if he's a good coach, he will follow through with that plan.

But he probably would let them advertise if they made a substantial donation to the athletic department. Heck, he'll even go out of his way to honor former players if they buy their own tickets for the game.

Seems totally unworried about his future as coach. Methinks he has gotten reconfirmation from DB that he isn't going anywhere as long as he's in charge.
|30 weeks 1 day ago||Agree with this. I think we||
Agree with this. I think we should try to keep the stadium as empty as possible until kickoff . . . The entire stadium. Having students come in late would have the biggest impact, because they are a concentrated group, and all the extra individual game seats above that are generally empty, will leave that corner empty when Brent announces, "You are looking live . . ." I'll plan to not get to my seat until kickoff. Before kickoff, a lot of empty seats will make a point.
And yes, please stop talking about Hoke and Harbaugh. The goal is to get the Athletic Dept straightened ou, top to bottom. "Fire Brandon," should be the focus.
|31 weeks 15 hours ago||My point was that things were||
My point was that things were bad at Domino's while Brandon was ignoring the customers, and things are bad here while Brandon is ignoring the students, fans and alumni.
The easiest, most appropriate fix to our situation, is to get rid of DB and get someone who will listen to those who want "good" product and not just a profitable one that people get tired of paying for over time.
|32 weeks 6 days ago||Needed 1 extra ticket for the||
Needed 1 extra ticket for the Miami(NTM) game for my 6 year old. Didn't care where the seat was. Paid only $19 on StubHub. There were seats on the 50, on the visitor sideline, on Saturday morning, for $30.
I think if we unfortunately (please don't) lose to Utah, you'll be able to get 2 Minnesota seats on the 50 for $42. Not sure why anyone, other than those who don't know how to use StubHub, would pay $42 for 1 seat high in the end zone.
