KO coverage. Ravens out to the 33. If ever the Lion D wanted to establish themselves as a force, now's the time to do it.

"player safety" was the REAL reason he left State and went to the SEC, not because he got frustrated with his school being "second-fiddle" to us.

reasons for it not happening---I'd gladly pay thru the nose for an opportunity to see a Michigan Basketball game at Yost!

Lion's ownership by Ford: Not only practically no playoff success, but never in the lifetime of most of us on MGoBlog has a Lion's Head Coach gone on to be HC anywhere else in the NFL.
Yes, Fire Ford!

are with your wife and you (and your family) as she continues to do battle with that awful f'n disease!
I lost my grandpa some 35 years ago and my dad two years ago this past Friday, both to prostate cancer. An Aunt is successfully fighting skin cancer, but she lost one of her sons (a dear first cousin of mine) just 4 weeks ago to throat cancer. And three other 1st cousins (all sisters within the same family) have done battle sucessfully with breast cancer. Someday, somehow, cancer must be beat!
Yes, F*** cancer!!!

Not only that, but I also posbanged everyone else that chimed in on this thread in any way to help you celebrate.

to use due diligence before taking up the offer of ProfitGoBlue. Quite obviously, ambulance-chasing in Bolivia wasn't as lucrative as he had hoped, thus his allegedly well-intentioned offer to represent those like you who have been banished.
Beware, as always---anything that sounds too good to be true usually is.

good showings. Want wins instead.
Enough of "the brand". Hate that term.

that you're talking to 2 people, not just one.
Or maybe you are talking to just one, but don't know if its Rick or if its Scott, or if maybe one of them just left the room for a minute or two to take care of some bodily function or need, or if once that need was met one or the other returned in the middle of the conversation, or maybe even they're Siamese Twins or friends joined at the hip or...who the h*** really knows why it takes the two of them to have an account on this board?!
That is, if you buy into their story of being a long-term lurker who just happened to have found their voice. Funny, then, that "they" started out on the wrong foot immediately after opening an account. Unless it coincidently just happened to occur immediately after Brian pulled some more plugs...

"they won't be going to another Rose Bowl for a long, long time", I'm hoping you mean another quarter-century drought for spartie?
I'm all in favor of that thought/wish!
In reality, though, I just don't have a good feeling that they will go away quietly and quickly. MD has built a solid program that will very likely benefit from their success of both this year and what they've been able to do over the last half-decade. Recruits that used to downplay or ignore being contacted by State will now pay a little more attention.
Someone above speculated that Dantonio would be around for about another 4 seasons---sounds about right to me, too. Even if Narduzzi does leave for UConn or elsewhere after the current season, isn't it highly possible he does it as a stepping stone towards returning with HC experience once MD retires?
Going back to the original title question in this thread, though, I'd say a drop-off to around 8 or 9 wins is the most likely 2014 scenerio.

the warriors of ancient Sparta, who, upon conquering their foes, not only burned, raped, and pillaged but also torched couches. It's been a "Spartie thing" to do ever since.

of the 4-Team system do we need to qualify as "several", before tweaking it again to make it an 8-Team Playoff? Regardless of the exact model used, complaints from the #5 team are tons more valid than complaints from the #9 team. Going to 8 somewhat eliminates regional bias for choosing between two or more deservin teams for the last 1 or 2 spots.
Besides, enough of us on this forum (myself included)are too old to have this drag out too long before an 8-team system is implemented. I'd love to see it happens before I join the "Depends Generation".

I'm going OT here, but your avatar looks delicious. Even though it's Sunday morning.
|1 week 3 days ago||Great work, Tunacorn||
Two other factors to add in to the equaion, though:
1) Not only did they beat A&M, but also the reigning Heisman winner, "Johnny Football", which helped them in the giant leap from #24 to #11.
2) They have the mystique of "SEC! SEC! SEC!" going for them, while the B1G's image of weakness did nothing to help spartie.
|1 week 3 days ago||Doesn't matter.||
Michigan would need a 64-team playoff this season to get an invite.

Surely you jest!
Without a doubt, Hall came off the bench. He wasn't involved in the kickoff return and shouldn't have in any way been involved in the direct aftermath of the kickoff play.
If there's not already a CFB rule prohibiting players in such a situation from entering the field and being involved, the rules committee needs to give this a hard look and institute one.

:::SHAKES FIST AT BRANDON!! :::
|2 weeks 1 day ago||While I like Fister,||
he seems to have slipped a bit each of the last two seasons, not seeming to be nearly as consistant from one start to the next. Porcello has had that same problem ever since the start of his career, but more and more seems to be overcoming that. As I see it, these are two pitchers that are somewhat similar in what they bring, both relying somewhat more on ground balls than the other Tiger starters, but pitchers that seem to be trending in opposite directions at this point in their careers.
With Porcello being more of a sinkerball pitcher and abandoning his ineffective slider, I'm actually kind of excited that he's about to reach his full potential real soon, especially with the upgrade defensively that the Tigers have undergone in the infield. Don't be surprised to see about 15-18 wins annually out of Porcello in the immediate future.
