1 week 1 day ago	Any Chicago Rivals news?	Any updates from the Chicago Rivals camp this past weekend?  I saw a picture of Ferns, Jenkins, Nicholson from the PIT airport. Hopefully Ferns was working his magic to get in the ear of some local Pittsburgh kids. I saw Hand got an MVP award - anything else of note?
1 week 6 days ago	No news on Montae	I likewise am surprised about the lack of attention Nicholson gets on the board, as I think he would be a huge get. He is taking his recruiting at a very methodical pace. He has announced no timetable nor no top list among his 30 offers. He did nothing in the spring because of track (where he fared very well). He did ok at the Pittsburgh rivals camp, he blew up the Columbus camp (MVP), he is going to at Chicago rivals camp this week, and will be at The Opening later this summer. I see him flying up the boards as he finishes up these camps. He wants to take all his 5 official visits (I thinkg Oregon and Stanford have him intrigued). The good news is he has stated one visit will be in Ann Arbor for the ND game. Michigan coaches were at his high school a few weeks ago, so they are still pursuing him. I know his family likes the Michigan coaches the best.
2 weeks 9 hours ago	Agree on Ferns being college ready	I have met Ferns in person - he is by no means skinny. The word ROCK comes to mind. I have never seen a high school junior built like him.
2 weeks 1 day ago	Nicholson got an invite too	Don't forget Montae Nicholson from Michigan also got an invite - he is a possible future commit. He is being recruited as a safety, went to the Columbus camp, and got an MVP award - as a WR! That shows the athleticism of this kid. I think he is on par with Westphal, Smith, Jackson and would be a great addition to the class. Also - I agree - I think an invite for Ferns is coming, as he had a big day in c-bus.
2 weeks 2 days ago	Always great to get the WPIAL kids to UM	Being from Pittsburgh, I get really excited when the local kids commit to Michigan. Last year it was Kugler, this year Chase. Now we need to get Nicholson in the fold too.
3 weeks 4 days ago	Thanks for the inside info	I plan to go to both the CMU and Minn games, and I prefer 330 pm start dates when I go to the games, as the tailgating is better. So here are best guesses on game times: CMU - 330 ND - 8 Akron - noon UConn - 330 Minn - 330 PSU - 5 Indiana - noon MSU - 330 Nebraska - 330 NW - 330 Iowa - 330 OSU - noon
4 weeks 3 hours ago	Love it	Huge Raiders fan - was so excited to see him go to Raiders in 98. Was so sad to see him leave Oakland a few years ago. Now over-joyed to see him finish his career in the silver and black. I can wear my Raiders gear with pride - for the first time in years.

Most years I have been to two. 1997 - OSU (win) 1998 - PSU, Wisky (both wins) 1999 - ND, OSU (both wins) 2000 - BG (win) 2001 - Miami (win) 2002 - Washington (win) 2003 - Purdue (win) 2004 - Iowa (win) 2005 - Minnesota (loss) 2006 - MSU (win) 2007 - Oregon (loss) 2008 - Illinois (loss) 2009 - Indiana (win) 2010 - UConn, Iowa (win, loss) 2011 - WMU, ND (both wins) 2012 - Air Force, MSU (both wins) My first game was the best experience - beating OSU, staying undefeated, going to the Rose Bowl - doesn't get better than that. So I have been to 21 games, with a 17-4 record while in attendance.

6 weeks 5 days ago	Nicholson	Don't think that Nicholson is just an afterthought here. I saw him at the Pitt Rivals Camp last week - we want this kid. His being recruited as a safety, but he could play CB too. He has over 30 offers, and is taking his time. He has been on campus 3 times, and will likely be back in the fall when he makes his officials. If he wants to commit - the coaches will find a spot for him (even if Peppers and Westphal commit by then) - I think Nicholson is that good.

11 weeks 2 days ago	30 wins	30 wins - after the Ed Martin scandal - I didn't think we could ever get back to 30 wins. Sit and think about that for a moment. 30 wins in college hoops is elite status (don't mind Gonzaga) - not many schools get that number.
11 weeks 2 days ago	Twenty years	Twenty years of waiting for elite basketball is a long time. I know we have been slowly getting back to 'good' the past couple of years. We just beat two great teams - let it soak in, get some rest, let Beilein slice the tape, and win 2 more.

Gonzaga was close to being the 1st 1 seed to lose. 3 seed New Mexico is gone 4 seed KSU can't beat elite teams 5 seed Wisconsin is gone (not a bad thing at all - but could have beat OSU) 6 seed Arizona is probably now the best bet to knock them off

13 weeks 2 days ago	All the 3 seeds	We can argue that UM is better than all the 3 seeds: NM - haven't seen them play all year, no basis MSU - how is their resume different than ours? Marquette - really confused on that - they lose in the Big East tourney early just like us Florida - couldn't even win the SEC, which is horrid But - can't complain now - we are 'home' for the first two rounds - that is the most important thing. We put one foot in the grave with our play late in the year - time to start digging out.
