Worst conference schedule ever - UM should play MSU, Indiana and OSU twice every year. Then the one-off games can rotate every year.

By my count, I have been to at least one game every year since 1997. Most years I have been to two.

1997 - OSU (win)

1998 - PSU, Wisky (both wins)

1999 - ND, OSU (both wins)

2000 - BG (win)

2001 - Miami (win)

2002 - Washington (win)

2003 - Purdue (win)

2004 - Iowa (win)

2005 - Minnesota (loss)

2006 - MSU (win)

2007 - Oregon (loss)

2008 - Illinois (loss)

2009 - Indiana, OSU (win, loss)

2010 - UConn, Iowa (win, loss)

2011 - WMU, ND (both wins)

2012 - Air Force, MSU (both wins)

My first game was the best experience - beating OSU, staying undefeated, going to the Rose Bowl - doesn't get better than that.

So I have been to 22 games, with a 17-5 record while in attendance.

I guess Lunardi is assuming McGary, Robinson (maybe Hardaway) are coming back? No was we are a 2 seed if all 4 of them leave.

Twenty years of waiting for elite basketball is a long time. I know we have been slowly getting back to 'good' the past couple of years. We just beat two great teams - let it soak in, get some rest, let Beilein slice the tape, and win 2 more.

We can argue that UM is better than all the 3 seeds:

NM - haven't seen them play all year, no basis

MSU - how is their resume different than ours?

Marquette - really confused on that - they lose in the Big East tourney early just like us

Florida - couldn't even win the SEC, which is horrid

But - can't complain now - we are 'home' for the first two rounds - that is the most important thing. We put one foot in the grave with our play late in the year - time to start digging out.

That last 3 could be a dagger. Wisky is not going to continue to miss shots. Everyone saw we outplayed them - and only up 3 at half. When you have a chance to put a team away, and you don't - bad things happen.

I bought tickets for this game months ago, hoping it would be late Saturday or early Sunday. 4 PM on Sunday is the worst - I am driving back to Pittsburgh after the game. They better win to make the drive enjoyable.

I completely agree with all your points. Bottom line: he was a great player, and his success makes UM look good. Yes - he made very bad comments about UM - but he has put his foot in his mouth on many topics - that is his personality.

When it comes to the Super Bowl, I always look to root for the team with more Michigan alum. The Niners have Harbaugh, Goodwin, and Manningham (though he won't play). The Ravens have none. Go Niners.

After Harbaugh wins the Super Bowl, Brandon/Hoke should take advantage and invite Harbaugh to the spring game and to speak to the team in some manner.

Huge win tonight - winning at a top 10 team's house will be huge for the #1 seed resume.

I travel to Cincy fairly regularly for work, so would be great to see Michigan sent to Cincy for the regionals.

I live in Pittsburgh, so I am already planning to see UM in the finals.

My son was age 4 when I first took him to a game. He was fine until halftime - then he got sleepy, and the novelty of the game wore off a bit. He fought through it. We went again when he was 5, and he was much better.

But he may get stuck there as well - Davis, Moss, Crabtree may take away his targets

GTown (and hopefully Marquette) losing, plus a win vs Minny virtually guarantees a Columbus or Pittsburgh location. That would be huge - much easier trips than Nashville or Louisville for the fans.

Have a better resume than Murray St, Baylor and Wisconsin right now. Have proved they can play with OSU, MSU. I don't understand how MSU didn't drop more by losing twice. Marquette stayed top 10 even after getting crushed by Cincy.

I went to Duquesne and always looked forward to Temple coming to Pittsburgh. This hurts the A10. Xavier will be the only consistent top team now.

My kids (ages 12 and 7) notice how Hoke handles his players without any prodding from me. We watch a ton of sports together, and they notice how all other coaches (like Kelly) scream bloody murder at their players. Then they see Hoke console the UM players. It makes a powerful impression on kids.

and I have not heard too much about this guy. That being said - he is only entering his Jr. year. Beaver Falls typically has a few D1 prospects every year.

Would rather play WMU in the semis than MSU. I am not scared of little brother - but they have played well against us this year.

My kids were going nuts watching the game - not about how close the game was, but about Denard.

Shots on goal is still a bit concerning (46 on Friday for osu). Hunwick needs to remain sharp, as he has most of the year. I have not seen the outdoor game yet - on my DVR.

Huge weekend upcoming at ND - need to keep the momentum going.

Very fun to relieve the past. Very frustrating that we beat Wisky in 99 and Illiois in 01 - then had puzzling losses in those years to take us out of contention.

1) I grew up in a Catholic family, so my entire family loves ND. They had me at an early age, but I grew wise to their brain washing.

2) I also grew up in Ohio, and I had obnoxious friends who loved osu. I always hated osu.

3) In Ohio, high school football is God. My high school wore blue and gold.

So in about the 9th grade, I put this all together and went Blue.

Have never seen Michigan hoops before, so I hope they land in the Pittsburgh 'pod'. Or I will even take Columbus, since I can drive there.

Michigan as a #3 seed taking over C-Bus for a weekend would be nice

Meyer has been in line for the OSU job for the past 3 years now. He knew what was going on at OSU, and knew that Tressel would be done shortly. All that health/family time BS was just that - BS. This was his dream job and he did what it took to get that job.

Meyer has lost one bowl game - to Michigan. He does not scare me at all.

All the 'experts' thought Rich Rod would bring UM to new heights. All the 'experts' thought Tressel was not the right hire because he didn't have enough experience. All the 'experts' thought Hoke was in over his head.

Bottom line - finding the right coaching fit is very hard to do. Let's just see how this plays out before we panic.

I think his coaches wanted him to visit on a non-football weekend to ensure he was really interested.

UM will not be a great team until they learn to be aggressive from the first play on the road. I can't remember the last time UM won a meaningful road game.

Our defense played great - all the analysts are saying Coker gashed us - I didn't see it that way. Iowa only had 300 years.

Our offense should score 30 points a game. Yes - all the calls seemed to go against us. But if we play the 1st quarter like the 4th quarter (ie, attack, attack, attack), we will the game by a touchdown.

UM is equal with all 3 teams remaining - let's get that 10 win season.

Way to rebound after a tough weekend set last week

ND has not been relevant since the early 90s, yet their fans get louder every year. I have to admit I was worried when they signed Kelly to coach. But I don't see him lasting - he has been clearly out-coached multiple times now. And he is such a jerk to the media, and to the players.

I will always have good memories of Tate - he was so much better than Sheridan and Threet.

So we will quickly know how good UM hoops will be this year - that is a good early season test.

Dhani was a bit under-rated at UM. He is one of those guys that was going to be successful outside of the NFL. Best of luck to him.

You noted that St. Edwards is hosting Don Bosco. I believe that game is in NY somewhere?

This was the first time since Lloyd's last game against Florida that I really had no complaints (ok - our kick coverage was still poor). Yes - Minny will likely be the worst team we play. However - we are getting better each week, and that is what matters most. Hoke has pushed all the right buttons so far. Mattison is making play-makers on D. Borges is a great play caller to date. The future looks bright - I have not said that for a long time.

Maybe put a summary in for our past opponents as well? That way we can see how WMU, EMU, etc are faring this season.

Thank God I have BTN - greatest channel ever. I would rather watch games on ESPN or ABC for the better quality and hype though. Oh well - we will get MSU, osu, Nebraska (maybe Illinois) on ABC.

I live in Pittsburgh. On the radio before the game, they were talking about Warren.  They said he would get some chances tonight because the Steelers are ravaged with injuries in the secondary. The Steelers also signed a few other DBs this week.

It is pre-season, so stats mean nothing. However, if any defense can steer Warren, it is Pittsburgh. I hope he sticks.

Pittsburgh has the best D in the NFL - and look at all the Michigan alum on the roster.

I live in Pittsburgh, and have gone to Michigan games for the past 15 years. Most of the time I go to Zingermans for a good deli sandwich, and to Grizzly Peak for a good burger.

Monday's subject is Fox Chapel's Adam Bisnowaty, the 6-6, 275-pound offenisve lineman from Fox Chapel. He's definitely one of the more colorful high school players I've talked with in a while. Good sense of humor, has insightful answers and interesting comments.

As for Bisnowaty's recruiting, he said he also plans to narrow his list of schools to five or six soon. The kid has gotten around this summer. He visited Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Purdue, Florida and even went to Oregon. He's also been to Pitt and the Panthers will definitely be on his final list. Penn State will not.

"Penn State did offer me," Bisnowaty said. "But they said they were taking four linemen in this class and they have four. Now they might have two openings, but I'm not sure if they're still recruiting me or not. It's sort of a deal where they're out of it. It's a great school and a great program, but it's just not for me."

Haven't heard lately where Michigan is at with him, but at least he won't be going to happy valley. 

Keep bringing the Ohio football studs up north.
