Agree with all your points, esp. that Quincy need to be gone: he seems to be on ice for every blown defensive play => their goal--but let's hold off on the DeKeyser is second coming of Saint Nick stuff. He's only played a few games at this level & Smith, Laschoff, & other rookies D this year all looked super for first spell for some reason before coming down to reality of their youth & need to mature. I think they're good, & DeKeyser too, but he's going to come back to a young gun needing to mature same as they did. |

...back in late 80s, along with some others, most not suitable for print. Cornell was invited 4th team to GLI at or just after that time. Group of us did those chants at the Joe. One of that group of us went UM law school & continued tradition, always claimed we/he brought all those rude cheers here to Ann Arbor. Never believed him, & still don't, but was an article in the daily a few years back about crackdown on the foul language in some of these chants at Yost & article did trace their arrival to Cornell's appearance in GLI when these "rude fans" brought some of those nasty cheers out here. (I can believe Cornell fans in general, of which we were part, brought some of these chants, but my friend kind of claims personal responsibility.) Goalie - Sieve was definitely the mildest. |

Seemed to me he held his own, plus, against undisputed best DE in game. Did I miss something? Big play was with Lewan out. Maybe couple good plays for clowney at end, couple too many penalties on Lewan perhaps, but in all: strong performance against best in the game, I thought. What did you see differently? |

...but I completely disagree. Talent levels were big steps down in key areas from last year's 11-2 team, & MUCH tougher schedule. I'm surprised they pulled out 8-4. I'm trying hard not to chalk that up to god-awful big10 |
