Is that Brian in an actual shirt?

Congratulations!  You captured one of the rarest of sighting known to man:  Brian sans the Michigan hockey jersey.  Hold on to it.  It may be worth something one day.

This looks like it was a fantastic event!

No Penn St.?

I find it surprising that Penn St. is not even in the top half of Big 10 schools in terms of mechandising deals.

Adidas would be fine if they didn't continually try to mess with things.  The maize continues to get brighter, the alternative jerseys continue to suck (except for the throwback baskeball jerseys), and the fan gear is way too flashy for my tastes.  Just keep it classy, Adidas, and you could be alllllllright.

God Help Us...

God help us if none of this turns out to be true.  If JH ultimately decides to not come here, then it will feel like an infinite number of continuous Bruce Lee karate kicks to the testicles.

Please come back to AA, Jim.  I do not want to spend the rest of eternity getting kicked in the junk by Bruce Lee.

Spot-on

Spot-on Brian.  I hate to say this, but if the AD is going to have a marketing department, they absolutely have to a have a "Michigan Man" as it's head.  Lochman doesn't understand that when the true Michigan fan thinks of Michigan Football he/she first thinks of the amazing moments provided by the great players (Tim Biakabatuka eating OSU's defense for lunch, Woodson's incredibly timed interceptions, Desmond Howard and "Hellllllo Heisman!", Denard's "shoelaces flapping in the wind")....and then the block M and winged helmets.

I was hooked on Michigan football at a young age for two reasons:  My dad's love for the University and Tim Biakabatuka.

Who could possibly be in the "Brandon Camp"?

Who could possibly be in the "Brandon Camp"?  Talk about sticking to their guns.

Alumni Association Ad During YouTube Video

I love how when I play the YouTube video an ad by the Alumni Association pops up...

"The new coaching search!  Endorsed by Michigan Alumni everywhere!"

And...

He wore his headset while at San Diego St. and Ball State  I don't understand what about Michigan makes him think the headset is no longer needed.  Especially with the constant communication and time management problems since he took over.

Butch Jones should be added to this list. A guy from Michigan who hasn't been at Tennessee long enough to set any foundations.
Yeesh.

What a fantastic way to start out the month of August!

It has been fun...

It's been amazing watching Frank Clark grow and mature into the player--and man--he is today.  He's going to have a terrific season.

We have a right to be emo

Excuse me while I go listen to Dashboard Confessional, dye my hair black, paint my nails black, and cut myself just so I can remind myself that I can still feel.  Life has to get better, right?

Now if only...

Now if only he could have beaten a team from Ohio 7 years ago, but good for him.

Haters, gonna hate!

Brian,

Hang in there, man!  Don't let the mouth-breathers keep you down!  This is the best sports site known to man, and we are all indebted to your incredible work!

Also, if you are looking to bring in someone to take care of these self-loathing degenerates for you, then I would like to submit my application for hire.  I will accept payment in the form of beer and hot pockets, and I will need to be supplied with a trident and a tricycle in order to successfully conduct business.

Keep up the phenomenal work, MGoBlog Staffers!  You are the standard!

Yes, but....

Something still has to change.  Whether it is Brady being more hands on with the offense, Borges being let go, bringing in a Quarterback coach to help development, whatever.  This team has the potential to be very very good, but something has to change offensively to generate some sort of consistency.

So You're Telling Me

I'm kind of excited

If the rumors are true, them I'm kind of excited to see Shane thrown into the snake pit.  Regardless if Devin is healthy or not, he has been just as big of a problem as the offensive line and running backs.  Shane has tremendous upside and can probably test Ohio vertically more efficiently compared to Devin.  Now if line can handle the onslaught of interior blitzes that Fickle is going to dial up...I can't even finish that sentence.  We're screwed.

So, I don't want to disagree with you, but...

So I don't want to disagree with you that we are destined to failure because we are chained to tradition, but RichRod proved that we are destined for failure because we tried to deviate from tradition.  In the end we are screwed, regardless.

All we can hope for is...more desperately pray...that Brady isn't as frustratingly stubborn as we all think he is.

It doesn't matter

It doesn't matter.  As long as Florida St. and Alabama remain undefeated, the bowls are already set.

Whomever is in charge...

Whomever is in charge of the offense at Northern Illinois.  They can develop QBs and they go forward.  A lot.

These videos are stunning-

-ly awesome!

Sorry, I couldn't keep the straight face.  In all seriousness, it's only a matter of time before dave tasks the athletic department to produce one of these.  It's only a matter of time.

There are so many others schools

that I would rather have based on Academics (UVa, UNC), regeneration of forgotten rivalries (Mizzou, Pitt), or to piss of OSU (Cinci).  UConn adds absolutely nothing to the table, aside from a good basketball program, to in intrigue me.

Look for the American Flag Balloon

We have a few cornelius kegs of Grizzly Peak beer that we would be more than happy to share!  Look for a high-flying American flag balloon accompanied by a few Michigan balloons on the UofM golfcourse and a tent with a banner that says "University of Michigan Student Veterans of America."  In fact, all Mgo'ers are more than welcome to stop by!
